Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Charlotte
The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was Kristen and she was amazing and so down to earth, she made my husband and I feel so welcomed. The food was so first class dining. Will definitely be back, just have to save up!😊 And the VIP drink, will always keep me coming back.
Joe our waiter was awesome. John the manager and Jeffrey the sommelier were also great. We love this place
The steak was wonderful, but the Alaskan Crab legs left a lot to be desired. The lobster bisque was very good, but a bit spicy and the crab cake was magnificent. Overall we had a delightful experience.
The best experience ever! First time there all of the staff we encountered was awesome and the food was even better! It was our anniversary and they made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant! The best experience ever!
Sophisticated but personalized service. Impeccable quality. Inviting atmosphere. Close attention to detail!
Excellant dining experience. I am in the business, and am very opinionated. Del Frisco's Charlotte was on point, from the ambience, to the food quality. Had a special request for a peppercorn encrusted steak, and they did it perfect. Calamari was some of the best my son and I have had. Server was accommodating with wine tasting and friendly throughout dining experience. Only negative comments were no greeter at stand to greet us on our arrival ( waited about 5 mins to be greeted), and appetizers took to long to come out. Price point a little high, but if you can execute like this every time it is worth it. Will be back!!
Always a great dinning experience.exceptional service.
My steak and crab cake came out cold after quite a wait. Waiter said steak would come out sizzling but he wasn’t concerned when I told him that it was cold. By the time he checked on us I had eaten a lot of it because I was so hungry, good taste, would have been much better hot! Ruth Chris and The Palm much better and less $$.
Wonderful food, great wine selection our waiter was upbeat, fun, and knowledgeable!
Only problem I had was at the bar when we had cocktails before dinner. I don’t believe the bartender was really listening as I ordered a Hendricks and tonic with a cucumber, and he gave me a lime. I know mine wasn’t a big deal, but my husband ordered a gin martini straight up stirred and the bartender then proceeded to ask “oh did you say dirty?” We responded with no, then we watched as he made the drink, which he shook instead of stirred and he also left the gin in the shaker while he did other things which watered the gin down, so not too pleased with the bar service.
Other than, beautiful restaurant which we always enjoy coming to for celebrations.
Incredible Food and value. The icing on the cake, and there was cake, was the service. Do yourself a favor and ask for Pam as a Server/ Host. She was epic!
We were here during restaurant week and came back two weeks later to celebrate my parents' Anniversary. We ordered similar items, but they did not come out the same as the previous visit. The potatoes and steak were too salty. The sides were too rich and also too salty as accompaniments. We all ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, and had mixed results. My husband found his to be cooked inconsistently throughout. The service was excellent!
The food was excellent. The service was impeccable. It was expensive, so we can only go as a rare treat.
It was an amazing experience. Our server Kristen went above and beyond and Nikole was also super helpful. The food was perfect with good size portions. We will definitely return.
Three of us ordered the Filet Mignon which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. My son ordered the Prime Ribeye and they just could not get it to his full satisfaction despite taking it back the first time. He loved the steak but it was not done the way he preferred.
Our salads were great and the Creamed Spinach and the Chateau Mashed Potatoes were excellent.
Overall this is an very good restaurant.
Have dined here many times Food is always delicious and beef always delightful. Service couldn't be better.
This is one of the best delfriscos I’ve been in great GM great folks make you feel right st home.
The Salmon which was a featured fish of the day arrived uncooked and cold inside.
We had high expectations but were disappointed by the bland flavor of the steak. Our server Caitlin made up for it but it’s about the meat and this didn’t measure up.
Best experience in the USA I’ve ever had. Well done.
Great service, wonderful food as always!!!!
My server was amazing!
Everything was great except my filet was a little fatty.
Del Frisco’s is one of my go-to places for a business or special occasion. The service is always impeccable, and the variety of menu options is perfect for those with specific tastes.
I took my parents and little sister for an evening out. I had no idea it was their first time to go! The only evening that worked for everyone happened to be the last night of Queens’ Feast.
Due to the timing, I expected the noise levels to be higher than normal (which they were), so we booked a later dinner (8pm).
I recommended everyone get steak (since this is truly what they’re known for). All of the food came out perfectly cooked. The sides were delivered a bit later than normal, but again - this is to be expected due to the timing.
Our server was stretched a little thin, but she did incredibly well balancing the needs of 4 tables (one being a large party). She even recruited assistance when she saw our water glasses were running low.
I’m not sure I’ll book during restaurant week or Queens’ Feast again due to the noise levels, but that’s no fault of Del Frisco’s. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.
Everything was amazing. Sauce for medallions was a little salty but otherwise very delicious ! Will go again !
A wonderful meal. The service was excellent. We all were very satisfied and preparing for the next visit.
Del Frisco's never disappoints. Great food and great ambience.
The potatoes were too spicy for my wife's liking. The rest of the meal was good.
Del Friscos never disappoints! Everything was great
Absolutely wonderful . Service and meal were amazing.
We've been several times before and always had a positive experience. This time however, the service and the food left something to be desired. Not sure why they participate in restaurant week. It was clear that the folks getting the better service were not ordering off the special menu. The salad was embarrassing. It was standard out of the package and the dressing was on the plate, not on the salad itself. You didn't taste the dressing until you reached the end of the salad. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out rare in the middle. By the time I realized it, half the filet was eaten. They offered to cook it more, but by that point, it would have been ruined. The head waiter joked "you can have steak and eggs tomorrow morning". If I wanted steak and eggs I would have made a reservation for breakfast.
Truly the most amazingly delicious meal. Great value, excellent service!
We had to send our food back. The manager was nice but too much damage done. We have been there 3 previous times and it was excellent— not Saturday night. The steaks were over seasoned— mashed potatoes had Cheyenne pepper where no one could eat them— appetizers and desert was great..we waited a long time to eat there and was very disappointed.
Always love Del Frisco's!!
Everything was outstanding as usual! I had the 8 ounce filet and it was cooked to perfection. We also had the calamari for the table. Service is always great too!
Yes, this was during Queen’s Feast, but after $300 including tip I expected to feel pleased and satisfied, which unfortunately a few important details left me underwhelmed. The place was absolutely full right at 5 p.m. and noisy to say the least. We were seated by the stairway, which meant lots of passers by upstairs, downstairs and to the nearby restrooms. Made me somewhat dizzy from all the quick-paced workers back and forth up and down. The time between courses, especially from salad to entrée was too long. Interestingly the food was delivered on very hot plates, although the temp of the items did not match that of the plates. I like my food hot. My salmon was not fully cooked to medium well and was not hot but I chose not to say anything, since it had been so long to receive. Also, the caesar salad had too much cheese on top. The cheese cake was something like a whipped cream pie with no authentic taste. I expected better. The à la carte $4 soda 8 oz. beverages was a surprise as I had not picked up on that during previous visits. Coffee was good.
When I go out to eat, I expect the food to taste better than if I ate at home and had to cook it. High end steakhouses usually have delicious food and a great variety of items. I was under the impression that the Double Eagle was the top tier of the Del Frisco collection of restaurants but after this dinner I can say that Sullivan's is better.
We were at the Double Eagle in Charlotte and the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the Lobster Bisque and it was very good but not very warm. I ordered filet and asked for it to be medium and it was rare, really rare, like seared and that's it rare. Between myself and others at the table we had the twice baked potato with truffle oil and fontina cheese (it was awesome), green beans (barely cooked), grilled onions and mushrooms (good), creamed corn (too much peppers - lost the corn taste), and regular mashed potatoes (stone cold). My huband asked for the house salad and instead of mixed greens - Romaine only. They brought him a plate of Romaine Lettuce and nothing else on it - no tomato, no carrot, no cucumber, no dressing. Clearly they misunderstood and when we asked they said this is what we orderd (not "let me fix that for you")
For dessert we ordered bread pudding (decent), cheesecake (the consistency of whipped cream - and not very good) and chocolate mousse (awful - it was the consistency of melted ice cream and warm). Overall I would say that the food was mediocre at best. Dinner for 5 - no alcohol was $350 before tax and tip. I would go somewhere in the Del Frisco's chain again and not here. It wasn't worth the money or time.
Our waiter Todd was exceptional! He was very attentive and gave great recommendations on the food!
Everything was lovely. Great food and very nice waiters.
Buddy Edwards and staff make sure "all" patrons enjoy their food and time spent at Del Frisco's!
crab cakes was amazing
