Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Boston Ratings and Reviews
We had as usual a wonderful time. It was rather loud as our table was seated near the bar area and football was quite exciting to those around us.
The food was delicious, the cocktails excellent and the wines superb. Ally, one of the sommeliers was extremely welcoming and helpful.
I cannot wait to go back again.
Del Frisco’s is consistently excellent. The steak is amazing, the seafood extremely fresh and delicious, and they have added some new sides - spaghetti squash and corn with shishito peppers, that were killer. My go to spot in the Sea Port District. Don’t even get me started on the Butter Cake!
Great service! My boyfriend and I went to Del Frisco’s to start the new year off right. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The view, amazing! Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.
Went there for the NYE celebrations with my friends. The servers were awesome and we got an awesome view of the NYE Boston fireworks. They have an extensive wine list to chose from and a lovely desserts menu. I would certainly go there again and recommend others to try it out.
SO Disappointing! We went here for a special occasion meal. We had a nice quiet table in the back. After we were seated, there seemed to be much confusion as to who was actually going to be waiting on us. When our waiter finally showed up, he took our drink order. The order took a while to arrive. We did get a short briefing on the menu. We were told that we had to order apps and the entrees at one time. The waiter did stop by several times to see if we were ready. We finally ordered. The appetizers came in a reasonable amount of time. We thoroughly enjoyed them but were finished for a good 20 minutes before anyone even stopped by to see how things were. The plates were cleared and our entrees arrived at which time we were instructed to immediately cut into the steaks to make sure they were done to our liking. That was the last we saw of our waiter for almost 45 minutes. He never stopped by again to check in. For an establishment with these prices and supposed reputation, we were very disappointed in the overall experience. The food was okay but not stellar either. We did like the tuna tartare and the shanghai calamari. The entree crab cakes were ok but nothing special. The steaks were good but no different from any other steak house. The side of Uptown Del's potatoes was just a gooey blob of cheese on top of tasteless potatoes. We will not be dining here again.
I’ve been to the NYC and Philly locations and both were outstanding. I am disappointed in my “hometown” Boston location. The tomahawk steak I got was avg at best and I’ve actually cooked ones better at my house. The server we had was great, very knowledgeable and friendly, quick with the drinks which is most important. But the food was disappointing for the price.
Das Fleisch war up to Standard.
I was very disappointed with the overall experience at Del Frisco’s. We had a reservation made two months ago with a water view, when we arrived we were forced to sit smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. I was repeatedly walked into by people which made things very uncomfortable for my family and I. When it was brought to manager, he really could care less. The food was average at best and for the amount of money we paid- having dined with Del Frisco’s numerous times, this will be my last time.
Some of the staff were very rude, but our waiter was great. For this place to specialize in steak it's pretty sad you have to send back a filet 3 times to have it cooked medium. I would definitely not recommended coming here and I definitely wouldn't come back.
The 45 day dry aged ribeye rare was phenomenal. Definitely prime marbling, the funky dry aged taste was fantastic. Lobster Mac and cheese was creamy and lobster was sweet.
Only thing I wish Del frisco’s had was a longer dry aged option (90,180 days, etc)
I always love to get together with friends at Del Frisco's. The customer service is great and so isn't the food. The food is done to perfection. The lighting this time was a little too dim. I actually loaned my little flashlight to my fellow diner so she could see the menu. Either that or we had to push the menu towards the center of the table, which was lit. But I would still come to Del Frisco's.
