The experience there is amazing. The food is cooked to perfection. Servers are outstanding!
The Service here was great and so was the ambiance. The food was exceptional as well. It is a little pricey and definitely a place for special events. Would highly recommend.
Have been here many tine and food is hit or miss. Had lobster that was very over cooked. Too expensive for anything short of top notch experience
Food was good but not great as it usually is. Bone in Filet was a little dryer than usual. But still had good flavor
I would have loved to have given my experience a 5 stars because the food and service was absolutely outstanding!! I was not pleased with our seating, however. I made reservations for 19 people for my husband's birthday and I asked for seating with a nice view. During the time of the reservations, I had another option available with another restaurant but Del Frisco's informed me that our view would be the waterfront and partial city view. I was ok with that so I confirmed the reservations. When we got to the restaurant with our party, I was highly disappointed with our seating as it was a long table right next to the bar, which meant very loud as we were able to hear the bar noise and television programs all night long! It was impossible for us to have a conversation with our friends as we were competing with the bar noise! I wish I had been told of the location of our seating so I would have declined and went elsewhere. Not only the noise was a big issue but we were all seated extremely close to each other (no elbow room for some guests)....and for the money we paid, I expected a better seating for a nice and formal birthday dinner. I spoke to the Manager and his initial response was highly inappropriate and when I let him know of that, he apologized and understood that I was never informed that the seating would be right next to the bar of the restaurant. Luckily, the appetizers, food, drinks, and service was outstanding and I would return but when it comes to a big party, I will make sure I ask for more details of the seating.
Reservation was for 2 for our anniversary. Table request to sit by window was received along with rose petals on table by restaurant own doing. Very nice gesture but my husband and I are not ones to make a scene so the extra attention was intimidating. Staff was courteous and informative but lacking in general professionalism. The restaurant was very loud and packed wall to wall with people, which affected the service time. Dinner was fair but not worth the price of the bill. Dessert and drinks were very good. All in all will not need to go back for dinner but may try a lunch sometime when it’s less crowded.
We have eaten at steak houses all over the country and decided to try this one on the suggestion of a friend, while visiting Boston. Our reservation was for 630pm and our table was not ready until 650pm. The waiter took our drinks but they did not come until after our salad course. The service was down right terrible for a high-end steakhouse. They are clearly under staffed for a Sat night, which I read in other reviews and they seem to not address. Also, while I say they were under staffed, they had a lot of host like people who were there but did not help. So, for example, we sat with our plates in front of us for a good 15 minutes after being done eating, while staff buzzed around but avoided eye contact with us, as though giving eye contact would obligate them to clear the table. With that said, if you like dry aged beef, the 32 oz bone in wagu ribeye was good, and plenty for two people. Hopefully they addressed their staffing issues. They do have cork in the ceiling now, so I think the sound level is a little better than old reviews suggest, but still pretty loud. Overall, for the price, it is sub-par to Morton's, Ditka's, Eddie V's Prime, Sparks, Peter Luger, Ruth Chris, or any other steakhouse that is high-end in my view based on bad service.
2 of the three meals were as ordered. My steak was over cooked and the replacement was undercooked. Also, the size of the rib eye steak was disappointing; very thin. Paying what you do in at Del Frisco I expect the steak to be thick, juicy, and flavorful. unfortunately, my rib eye was none of these.
Try the Butter cake ! Delicious
Made up for the dry scallops
Stick to the steak
Very disappointed this time around. Getting our Open Table points from the restaurant was a challenge. The hostess staff was rude however our server was exceptional.
We had an amazing experience at Del Frisco’s. It was our anniversary and we were greeted by a table topped with rose petals. Every staff member made it a point to wish us a happy anniversary and all were so friendly and attentive. Our meal was excellent and they gave us a delicious dessert for our special occasion. We will be back again!
My filet was under done and I had to send it back. By then I really didn’t want it. I thought oh well let me have a great dessert to end the meal so I ordered the chocolate molten soufflé . Unfortunately there was nothing molten about it. It was a chocolate cake with nothing “runny”/molten in the middle. Disappointed again!
Food was great. Service was great. Table by the window was lovely. Loud drunk guy at the table near us was distracting.
Second time dining there. VIP drink is awesome. Great staff and very knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. Will be back again.
My go to Boston haunt for customer appreciation dinners. Super consistent, comprehensive wine list, highly recommended.
Everything was really good, delicious food, specially the caviar is worth the price
HAD A GREAT NIGHT AT DEL FRISCO'S FOR MY BIRTHDAY !!!
SATURDAY WAS VERY CROWDED BUT GREAT ENERGY!
FOOD AND SERVICE WERE EXCEPTIONAL!!
We have come to Del Frisco’s every year for my husbands birthday for the past 5 years. We always enjoy it but this year we had to wait 45 mins from when our reservation was and I also requested a window table when I made the reservation that was not even acknowledged. Which makes me wonder if the notes are even read when I make the reservation?
Cracked oyster shell in my oysters
Ordered a wedge salad and said I’d split it with my wife so did my friend they took one full size wedge and split it for ways
Ordered 3 oz of Waygu beef came stone cold and on giant price of grizzle that won’t cut with a knife
Mad house of people and way under staffed
Plates and empty glasses left on table throughout service.
Manager came over to apologize about oysters and salads and the saw the disaster of my $60 3 oz steak
He comped the oysters and one of the salads and my Waygu beef and sent out another portion (also stone cold and not very flavorful.
Used to go at least 3-4 times a year now won’t and would only consider it for drinks and dessert . Over priced lower quality than before and less attentive staff or lacking staff
Nothing special. Food. Cooked okay, however suspicious on actual size of 26oz porterhouse or 22 oz bone in strip. Looked more like a 16 oz bone in strip and 20oz porterhouse. Nyc del Frisco much better. Service poor. Had to request condiment 3 times, no one came by table to check up, dessert menu took forever to be brought to us.
Everything was perfect! Food was exquisite!
Place is great. Service is top notch. Sommeliers offer great suggestions. Splurge and go for the Wagyu
Our server was wonderful as was the food. Our complaint is squarely with the hostess who did not do her job in terms of being aware that she sat the same 2-person party separately and we were seated in different parts of the restaurant for over an hour. I had to go and check at the hostess stand and noticed the error. Hostess was not professional- felt like I was at a KFC- she barely made eye contact, was checking her phone and chewed and chewed gum with her mouth open so much that you could see the white wadded piece of gum tumbling around! Awful. Not the most appealing thing that you want to see from a host when you’re getting ready to eat dinner at a nice restaurant. The WiFi service was also unstable which added to the communication problems.
As usual. As expected an unforgettable time any time you go to This gem.
We always go for a birthday dinner -- and it is usually very good. Always they "comp" our birthday dessert -- but to our surprise this time we were charged the $10 for the small dessert. I suppose with $50 ala carte steak prices -- they feel the need to charge for a birthday ice cream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Made reservations for 8:30 for important dinner, and was not sat until 9:40. There were no apologies, and with the amount of great steak houses around I would not go back.
8:30 reservations, food came out at 10:35pm, we also waited until 9:20ish to be seated. Was surprise 30th birthday party for wife. Everyone was upset about the wait. Also the server only came over 2 times.
Love the bar, amazing for people watching and drinks! Amazing food and atmosphere
This was my 1st visit to one of the Del Frisco's in Boston (There's two) Overall l have been to Del Frisco's in Denver, Chicago and Las Vegas, my favorite (twice)
Having booked this reservation three weeks ahead of time for my anniversary, I spent those days talking Del Frisco's up to my new wife who had never been to one. I booked our reservation through Open Table as l usually do when l dine at a high end restaurant.
Upon arrival we were informed by the hostess that l didn't have a reservation. Not only was l questioned on whether or not l was at the correct restaurant but l was compelled to open the Open Table app on my phone as well as both the confirmation email and the reminder. After having shown all of this information to the hostess, we were seated in short order. Adding to the oddity of our check in was the fact that the staff magically knew it was our anniversary despite having no record of our reservation. The only specific request l had made when booking the reservation was booth seating. I request this often because, due to my disability, it is not only more comfortable, but safer for ingress and egress. Unfortunately, this request wasn't fulfilled.
Ok, enough about that. Our meal was nothing short of phenomenal as was the service we received from the waitstaff. I ordered the 45 day dry aged ribeye, and it was one of the finest steaks I've ever enjoyed. My wife ordered the filet and was equally pleased. The Shrimp cocktail appetizer was abundant and delicious as well as the lobster bisque enjoyed by my wife. The baked potato we ordered as a side was not only as big as a small football but cooked to perfection as well.
Upon leaving, we were engaged by a gentleman downstairs at the exit who assisted us with the retrieval of our car from the valet. What a great last impression and ambassador for your restaurant. Despite the reservation snafu, we will certainly be back.
We were very disappointed in the service. Waiter gave more attention to another table. He never cleared the table. The bread, menus & ketchup were still on the table when we left. The waiters name was Miguel P. We have been at DelFriscos before with much better service. It was disappointing because we were celebrating our anniversary.
Good experience but won’t go again. The service and food were excellent. The ambiance not so much. The noise level is extremely loud that I couldn’t hear the person next to me without him shouting. Just not for us.
Only negative was we had to wait and check up ourselve. Hostess told us to go the bar and she would get us shortly as they were cleaning the table. After 30 min at the bar I went to check and we were seated within minutes. Otherwise everything was great!
Great anniversary dinner complete with ocean views, rose petals on the table & a champagne toast. Perfect for special occasion!
Excellent meal, great dry age ribeye! Thanks for the birthday celebration dessert.
Great menu and great service and the staff went out of their way to make it a pleasant evening although one meal had to go back 3 times to be cooked as requested.
this is our third time back to del friscos. Our shrimp cocktail was great and huge, but our meals were just okay, and for the price you pay, you expect better. The lobster Mac and cheese was great, the onion rings which we got each time before were soggy this time. Also each of our steaks (rib eyes) were cooked perfect but you can grill them at home for 1/5 of the price. The banana bread pudding on the other hand is worth the trip itself.
Wonderful tasting filets. Wine list was superb. Will be back soon
Great meal, the staff were very attentive and professional.
I love the lunch special
