Pecan Crust & Strawberry Sauce
The service not up to par with what they are charging for their meals.
Food took an hour to arrive, and was over cooked and cold upon arrival. We were so late getting back to work we didn’t have time to complain
Server, Angie was fantastic! Food was exceptionally good.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being low) the food scored a 2. Del Frisco’s food a 2? Yes, you read that correctly!
I have dined at Del Frisco’s Sea Port Boston many times and have always had a good experience so I decided to take my business partner to lunch for his birthday and boy do I wish we had gone some place else... We both ordered the same entre, bone-in ribeye with lobster tails. I ordered mine medium rare and he ordered his medium. My partners steak arrived cooked correctly. My steak arrived the table cooked medium well. They took my steak back and brought me a new one. In the interim, the manager delivered an apology and a complimentary shrimp appetizer. The replacement steak steak was unevenly cooked. The section I cut into to check for doneness was medium rare. The other section of the steak was cooked to rare plus and was purple-ish in color and the texture was very soft. Normally I would send a steak prepared this poorly back but my partner was almost done with his steak and I was starving so I kept it. Big mistake. How is it possible that a cook at at Del Frisco’s can’t cook a bone-in ribeye properly?
I deshelled one half of the lobster tails, took a bight and it had absolutely zero taste. I was shocked. Shocked. I gave the remaining section of lobster a taste and had the exact same experience, zero taste. The lobster tail was so bad that I did not even try the other half of the tail. I honestly think the lobster was left over from the previous night and while it was resting on ice the lobster meat absorbed the fresh water from the ice. Seriously, I have never head cold water lobster in Boston that had absolutely no taste at all….
The service was good. They addressed the steak issue, took the lobster off the check and gave us a birthday desert. On a scale of 1 to 10 the service scored a 7. The overall experience scored a 4 because after all you pay Del Frisco's prices for the normally excellent food quality.
As always the food was great. Service was good but looked like the usual staff was scant but the server made up for the lack of usual help.
Our first drinks and water came on time. Then the waitress disappeared. No water, no refills of drinks, food came 1 hour and 45 minutes late.
When Food finally arrived it was all mixed up from our order. we had to switch plated send orders back. Just a big mess.
The waitress founded very funny we were hungry and a bit agitated by her service.
I am extremely disappointed by this experience.
We were dining at DelFrisco’s for our 37th anniversary. We had a lovely meal, a beautiful seat on the balcony overlooking the water. The service was great. I thought it was a bit pricy for the quality and quantity of the food and drink. I had a glass of sangria that was $19, that was mostly ice. And my husbands steak was $52. It all seemed like a lot of money for what we got. But I understand that everything is more expensive given the times that we are living in.
Trying to be understanding of post-pandemic difficulties in the restaurant business but was surprised at the overall poor experience had by all of us. The salads were under dressed and not sure if anything could save the kale and broccoli slaw. My steak was medium, had ordered medium rare. No red center. The tables around us were sending their meals back, didn’t want to burden Natalia. Opted to stay quiet but more so because it was evident their were troubles in the kitchen. Huge complaint about the steak knives. So dull, the sawing into the steak was getting dangerous. The entire meal took 3 1/2 hours. So drawn out, endless waiting.
Menu offerings reduced (no fabulous onion rings). A couple of offerings unavailable. Lobster tail was overcooked, dry. Strip steak was tough. Filet mignon (12 oz) had fat on it (edges). Kale and Brussels sprouts undercooked - kale leaves tough. Waitress was rushed (not enough help perhaps). Not the Del Frisco’s We knew and loved!
Yehh.. 🤭 that’s it
It was my first time going to this restaurant and I was extremely lucky to have an amazing waitress. She knew the menu you so great and have so many good recommendations and her opinions. I will definitely be back again, great drinks, food and atmosphere!
Excellent all around- service, decor and food! Will definitely be back.
Meh food at best. Sat outdoors next to a propane leak. Server over worked hence slow service. Was charged for complimentary cake (which we did not order.).
I’ve come here in the past and this experience was by far the worst.
Our entrees were delivered at different times, so my husband's was getting cold while we waited for mine. And my plate came out burning hot which meant it was under the warmer for a while. The manager apologized but I was surprised he didn't offer at least a complimentary dessert or something else as an apology.
Great meal, fantastic service.
The food was great, the view was nice. The only negative and it was out of DelFrisco's control was the air conditioning was not working on a 90 degree day.
Our waitress Evelyn was outstanding! She was very helpful and attentive. She explained the menu items and was very friendly. Promote her!
Our server was great. Food was good. But it was really hot inside the restaurant. Uncomfortably hot.
Do not eat here. Air conditioning does not work. Not enough servers. One of The worst dining experiences I have ever had.
My boyfriend, my parents and I love coming to this Del Friscos location every summer. We live about an hour south. We dined last night 6/6/2021 with you and were so unpleased with how hot your restaurant was. The waitress was pleasant and let us know that there was nothing they could do about the AC, she said the beginning of every summer is like that. We would have stayed for dessert and many more drinks but had to get out of there due to the heat. We want to come back but are hesitant anytime this summer when the weather is hot.
The food was just as delicious as it always is, no other issues.
No AC on hottest day.
It was great. I went there with friends to celebrate my BDay. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I highly recommend.
Maybe the steak quality has been affected by the recent meat packing hacks, but the steaks tasted pretty plain this time around (I've been coming here 5+ years so know what they usually taste like). Bland steaks. Server charged us for 5 shots of liquor when all we had was a couple beers and wine. Mistake was pointed out but a little strange that no other parties of 5+ were in her service area.
Upon entering your restaurant, we were greeted by Phil. What a very nice gentleman and so gracious. We were originally seated at a booth away from the windows and when we asked if we could be moved next to a window, he very happily honored our request. Our server was Jasmine. She was very attentive and ensured that our meal was perfect which it was. Thank you for the great dining experience!
From the minute we walked in we knew it was going to be a great night. Classy atmosphere, amazing views, etc. Staff was really friendly , knowledgeable and very helpful. Food was outstanding, so delicious! We will definitely be back!
Not worth it at all
You know, this place is a top end steak house. I’ve it many times in Boston and Philadelphia. The Philly location is a go to for me when I’m there.
The food, our steaks were great, fantastic even, cocktails were very well done. The space is beautiful, and you cannot beat the view.
I’ll preface the rest by saying I understand what a tough spot restaurants are in getting back to normal after Covid.
So here was my problem. Del Frisco’s markets itself at the highest end of the market, and mentions a dress code explicitly. But here I am spending $70 on 3 oz of A5 wagyu, sitting next to people in T-shirts, hoodies, backwards baseball hats and wearing shorts, having obnoxious conversation. I’m not a snob, I love a cold light beer and casual conversations about sports and nonsense, but do it at the pub. I expect more from Del Frisco’s. This is a high end spot, meant for enjoying finer things.
The bottom line is the details were lacking. The ends of the asparagus were extremely tough, inedible even (peel the ends for God sake, we’re paying $16 bucks for 6 asparagus spears). And then I ordered a calvados as my digestif, and it had completely died in the glass (the sugars crystallized and it became cloudy, and separated), it was an open bottled stored improperly during inventory. I get it, its hard getting back after what we’ve all been through.
TL; DR - the steaks are amazing, the space is beautiful, the water views are second to none. However they are not managing the details, the atmosphere and clientele decorum is declining, and the management is not holding up their end of the deal in terms of the details being the highest quality. If a place markets itself as top of market, and charges top market prices, it should deliver a top market experience.
Right now it a A + costs delivering a C for value. I won’t go back until I hear through word of mouth that management is holding standards to a higher degree.
Great food and great service. Thank you for a great experience
Had a great night! Energy was awesome and waitress was great!
Delicious! Our favorite restaurant for special occasions!
I never comment about my experience in restaurants. But I do have to say something about Del frisco’s.
I was a regular to this restaurant before the pandemic.
I had great memories celebrating my bday and other occasions with friends.
I have a friend that was investing in the company before and he was a regular all the time, he did mention to me that he stopped going there because of service and food.
I should off listen to him.
The food was awful!
I order the Calamari and all I got was a bunch of mix peppers covered with the sweet and sour that they use.
Ok, after I order a glass of wine. Thank God.
I think that was the best option.
For my entree I order a Ribeye.
I was so excited and hungry (because I was so disappointed with the Calamari)
When I got my Steak and I had my first bite, oh my...
I had to drink the whole glass of water.
It was so peppered!
I been to many Steak Restaurants and they always marinate the Steak with seasonings. But this one was awful!!!!!
I told the server and she didn’t care.
I had the worst dinner of my life at Delfrisco’s.
I will not go back.
I will pass the word around just because the server didn’t care.
I paid so much money tonight for and awful meal.
Would of been a better choice.
Great steaks and service. They have a courtesy dock if you happen to be out on a Freedom Boat Club boat. Made the last minute reservation on OpenTable
Marino was an awesome server he was attentive and had good conversation and suggested some great drinks!
Celebrated my dads birthday
It was a great experience, nice view even though we didn't get to seat near the seaport view. The food was delicious....I would recommend for any passionate steak lover and seafood. 5/5
Perfect birthday dining experience! Definitely coming back again for ambiance.
Our Waitress went beyond her duties to make us happy. We had to send back a Japanese steak that was a bit well done than we wanted. She later bought us 2 sweet pieces of cakes to make up for it, which gave us a chance try them out. It made our day🥰
My wife and I were hoping to come to the restaurant for a nice anniversary meal. What we got instead was some belittlement, with a side of condescension and half a meal.
I ordered a dry age strip steak medium for my meal. It came to me well done. After tasting it, I told the waiter that my meal was not cooked correctly, and the steak did not taste like it was dry-aged. He explained that the cook was due to the lighting outside, and proceeded to shine a flashlight on it. All this proved was that it was overcooked.
He said he would remedy it. Before our replacement steak was cook. We got a lecture from the waiter asking if we had even had a dry-aged steak before (not that its any of your/his/Del Frisco’s business but I have had dry-aged steaks before. I know what it's supposed to taste like)
After this ‘lesson’. It was followed by him showing us pictures of ‘the steak’ on his phone from the kitchen. Followed by the manager coming to our table who said. “ I heard you thought your steak was overcooked,” I told him it was overcooked and tasted wrong.
About 15 minutes pass and we still have not received our reordered steak. At this point, we offered to pay our bills and leave. The waiter then said the cook agreed the steak didn’t taste right nor did it have the correct cook. I do not go to del Frisco’s to be demeaned and condescended upon.
I went into your doors, hoping to spend money on a meal. I knew it wasn’t going to be cheap but had the expectation that it would be worth it. I walked into a steakhouse, wanting to order a steak, ordered a steak, and left without ever eating a steak.
I will not be returning. Service was extremely slow - 2 hrs for a business lunch and wasn’t impressed with the menu or food when it arrived
