Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - Boston
Amazing! Wonderful. The place to be!
The food was cold
My friends steak was overcooked, he sent it back and by the time it was replaced everyone else had finished their dinner. He asked for it to be wrapped. It was taken off the bill, but just ruined our experience.
Always a great meal at DelFriscos. The fillet is the best we’ve had anywhere. My only complaint, and this is not new, is the noise level, which almost made it impossible to talk across the table to my wife. Service was good and we were well attended to. We will definitely be back.
Steaks were overcooked, drinks and food took forever to come. Terrible service and food was only ok for the price. Huge disappointment.
We dine at Del Frisco's at least 4-5 times per year, and Saturday, February 15th was the first time we have had a disappointing experience. Our reservation was made weeks in advance, and yet we were crammed into a sea of tiny makeshift tables that were placed too close together in the middle of the dining room. It became apparent that Del Frisco's was capitalizing on "Valentine's Day weekend" and appeared to be over booked and understaffed. Patrons behind us who requested to speak to a manager had to wait for 15-20 minutes before the manager had time to speak to them. The manager's reply to their well-deserved complaint was "we're doing the best we can," which did not appease any of the patrons at surrounding tables, as many of us were dissatisfied with the service and seating. The Del Frisco's management appeared to be more interested in how many tables they could turn instead of provided guests with the fine dining experience that's usually associated with Del Frisco's.
Wife and I were put in a side room due to it being a busy night. Ambience was not as nice for the price we were paying. Would decline to be seated in the side room if we go again. Service was great as always, food was tasty, had to send one steak back but it was quickly fixed.
Kimberly the bartender is so authentic and personable. She could give lessons on hospitality. She made our special day even more wonderful!!
It was a birthday dinner for my girlfriend and I’ve eaten here a few times better and it was great. It was really crowded this time and the table was wobbly like lawn furniture. The drink I ordered also came in a chipped glass with a straw that was broken. The waitress was nice and the food was good. It’s just not worth the money anymore for a dining experience that I can get at a 2-3 star restaurant.
Had dinner here for Valentine’s Day and our server, Tristan, was amazing!!! He gave great recommendations and was extremely knowledgeable. The food was also delicious, would definitely go back!
Service was VERY slow
Our first visit to Del Frisco's! The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine and pairings. Petite filet was wonderful as well. Will be back!
Food was great. Service was terrible. Saw our waitress 3x in 2.5 hours.
We visited on valentines day. Our food was great but due to our experience after dining here I wouldnt suggest this place at all. Because theres zero reason for what has happen to us. Our visit was for a table of 4. My fiance, daughter, cousin and myself. Our bill was 509. And some change. We had my cousin pay his bill plus add his tip to the amount he was going to put on his credit card. Total 180. We paid 430. Cash for our side of the bill includes the cash for tip. So my cousins is total 180. The slip says 180 a line thru the tip that says cash. Total says 180...everything seems great. Until he looks at his bank statement he was charged 509.00 what!! And why!! So he calls the restaurant they say someone will call back. I call the restaurant same story. It's not until I call and say let a manager know we are going to come up there to discuss this bill. That someone calls my cousin back. So they are going to reverse the charges and only charge him 180. But it wont go into his account for 3 days. And he has other Bill's that are now bouncing due to them taking more then they should have. More action should have been taken for this royal mess up. So if you go here watch your bank or credit card statement god knows who else was charged double. Also we were celebrating 2 birthdays te waiter asked if we had any special events idk why cause nothing was done or special for it.
I ordered the dry aged lamb and it was delightful! The wine is fantastic and they have great gluten free options.
The ambiance is great, but we had to wait 45 min for our table. It also took a long time to get the food. The apps and drinks were great, but the steak was just average and tuff. For the price charged I would have expected better quality and service.
My husband and I love Del Friscos. I ordered the scallops and they were not edible. The waitress didn’t ask how they were, but asked if we wanted them to go. They were the special and for $71, they were beyond awful. I sent a note to DF immediately after and 5 days later still no response. We won’t be going back anytime soon.
Sent steaks back awful.
So loud and the service was just ok, I got stone crabs first, small and mushy, had to send back. Great wedge salad though
Great wine menu and not overly priced.
The dinners was very good and cooked perfect. Dry aged ribeye and the Sirloin, sides were great, creamed spinach, Al gratin potatoes, and especially the creamed corn.
When we got our cappuccinos ,our sugar was wet, every single packet. It took 10 minutes to flag someone down to get new sugar, it was so loud. Our waitress just said sorry, but our cappuccinos where lukewarm by then, great butter cake though.
I will definitely come back, but on a week night, not on a Friday or Saturday night.
Im in the restaurant business all my life, I know the difficulty’s ....
The place is a shell of its former self. Downhill dramatically since the open. Been to multiple locations and not up to par with others. They took off the king crab gnochi and the quality of the steaks have diminished. It’s sad because it was my favorite. Will not be back
Fabulous lunch today at Del Frisco’s. Their Wagyu French Dip is divine and they have best tuna tartare in the city. Highly recommend! Randy was also an excellent waiter who made sure everything was perfect and we had a great time. Can’t wait to go back.
Service was sub par, dinner took almost 3 hours. They were only three people and we split two entrées and got two or three appetizers. Worst service ever
The hostesses were very rude/not at all friendly. Had a reservation & we stood there for an additional 25 minutes past our reservation time & I’m 9 months pregnant. Service once we were seated was excellent.
Very good experience.
My review is more based on the issue with the fact that I did not select seating by the bar. I was here for a business dinner which I did indeed select when making my reservation on OpenTable and was sat next to the bar for a group of 8. It was extremely loud which made conversation extremely challenging and frustrating. When asked to re-locate we were told there were no other tables to accommodate our size at the time. If I were there for pleasure I would not have had much of an issue but given the business aspect I am not pleased. One note to add is that I did not designate that I wanted bar seating nor did it state that it would be. Quite frustrating. The food itself was as good as always and the server did the best he could given the loud conditions, which is reflected in my scoring.
The hostess was wildly rude. She scoffed loudly when I asked for another table and tried to make us walk around the entire restaurant to sit right beside where we were already standing. Absolutely ridiculous and put a bad taste in my mouth for such an upscale restaurant.
I have been here a hundred times. Everything was perfect as usual. A particular note of gratitude to the Sommelier for his suggestion on a bottle of wine. The one that I ordered was not available, but the replacement that he suggested was spot-on.
Food was great but unfortunately our waitresses was terrible, first time I can honestly say this at a restaurant of this quality but she went around and asked for drinks and forgot to ask me if I wanted one, but no big deal. The appetizers took close to 40 minutes to come out, but what was upsetting was when we kept asking for more water or bread or something else she would forget, to me as a waitress that is your sole responsibility, we got more help from the water guy then her. There were 6 of us and for a 1,300 bill not including tip I just expected a little more, we still tipped her 20% but it was tough to do that.
Went for dinner Saturday night. Arrived early, the hostess was very accommodating and got us right to a booth. The view was amazing. We were waited on by a wonderful woman who was extremely attentive to us. We were not rushed, we had a wonderful time enjoying a friends birthday. The manager Emily came over and chatted with us. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. We could not have asked for a better night out. Food and drinks were amazing. Every mouthful of food was delicious! From the calmari to the tuna tartare to our steaks and onion rings, and lobster Mac. The most amazing thing was the Butter cake, if you go you have to get it!
Très bien niveau cuisine, mais l accueil laisse à désirer
As previously experienced, great time had by all
I was a bit disappointed with the service after visiting your restaurants in Philadelphia and New York, where service is above and beyond. Service in Boston was mediocre and food served very late, even though the restaurant was empty. Nevertheless, the steaks are always delicious! Maybe this was a fluke and will visit again next time I’m in town.
My sister and I both ordered the 8oz filet with béarnaise sauce. We ordered the au gratin potatoes and the Brussel sprouts as our sides. It was her 18th birthday and they brought out an awesome array of desserts. I was so impressed. Our waitress was great: attentive and very sweet. Our food was delicious. Will definitely be back! Thanks for making her birthday special!
Great food and service. Del Frisco's always delivers.
Fantastic experience. Our server was beyond helpful and accommodating for a large party. 5 stars across the board.
Sat at the bar, bartenders, servers were great. Fois Gras outstanding, drinks great, generous wine pour
If you're in Boston and looking for an elegant, classic and great dinning experience option, this is a must- Enjoy!
Food was warm and the help was very busy working many tables
We love del Frisco’s and choose to go there for many special occasions. Unfortunately this experience was not one of our favorites. We sat with empty drinks more than once, we ordered a very nice app and bottle of wine and almost completed our entire seafood platter without a drink on the table. Management walked by our stacked plates more than once, and my husband didn’t get the correct entree. By the time the correct meal was delivered to our table I was finished with my meal and we ate separately.
Very sad as we have both worked for this restaurant group in the past and none of this would have been acceptable. Hope service will get better, it’s a shame because the atmosphere and food are wonderful.
