Great food . I stayed and took my time eating chatting enjoying the view and eating some more . Great place to take friends for lunch or brunch .
Very disappointed .
Really nice staff. Great customer service. Aside that, incredible view! Highly recommend it.
Had dinner seafood buffet. For $75, limited food selection.
The best thing about Dekkadance is the view. It offers a full panoramic view of Los Angeles from one of the highest points in downtown LA. The setting is more informal for a high rise restaurant, but that’s to be expected for a buffett style menu. The food is very good, and there is a wide selection to choose from. Be careful, or you won’t finish your dish. There are two menu options, one with seafood and one without. The seafood option comes at a significant up charge. It is recommend that you stick with the regular buffet unless you want to spend twice the money for seafood. The seating arrangement is good for families or large groups given the bench seating for some of the tables. The more intimate seats are good for first or second dates. This place is a great place to visit if you’re in LA for a visit.
A wonderful dinner buffet with a broad selection of food. Attentive but not intrusive service. Ambiance is comfortable modern. Amazing view of Los Angeles all the way to Santa Monica bay.
The view was incredible and service was friendly, but the food was mediocre. It's a buffet ($35 for lunch). I had their sliced beef, but it was more fat than meat and there wasn't a chicken option. They had tacos, but the meat was overcooked, the tortilla was cold, the salsas weren't spicy and there wasn't cheese. They also didn't have a sign for nut allergies (that I saw) and mistakenly served salad that has walnuts (to which I'm allergic). They also had several pizza options. My pizza was tasty, but the dough was undercooked. If you're interested in going for the view and/or drinks, you'll love it. However, if you're going for the food, they have other restaurants in the hotel you could try.
Birthday celebration for party of 14. Good dining experience. Tacos and chocolate banana slice was one of the highlights of the menu.
Poor food choices with high price. I expected much more than that. Also, poor reservation service.
We went as a farewell brunch for my parents for their last day in LA. Yes the view is excellent (or would have been on a day when it wasn't about to rain - although they can't be held accountable for that) but the food was mediocre at best. Hot food was not hot (in fact it was stone cold). I informed the staff and they said they'd turn the hot plate up, but by then I had finished my cold eggs, sausage and bacon and didn't want anymore. Overall, food selection was poor for a buffet this expensive. Valet didn't valet my car and instead parked it on the side. In the end I parted with more cash than I needed to as I didn't realise that the restaurant validated. My advice, Have an AMAZING breakfast somewhere else, put the car on a meter for an hour and take the elevator up to the 70th floor to take in the view. Not the end to a month long trip that I had hoped for.
We went for a New Years Day special buffet which cost $95/person. Besides the champagne, mimosa, cocktails etc., the food selection is small, taste is alright but nothing amazing for the price that's charged. Even the desserts didn't pass ok range. Nevertheless the views were spectacular! Hope they would correct the menu items that suit its name and description!
Awesome dining experience on NYE. Will definitely go back!
The place is GORGEOUS & customer service is on point ! But the most important part... the part we had been waiting for all day (the food) , was TERRIBLE. The food looked old and crusty. It was obvious because all the chefs avoided making eye-contact... I left hangry & 125$ poorer😭 (1buffet&2vodka-sodas). Also this is a shellfish buffet, there was only one plate of salmon, super disappointed.
Thanks to our very energetic and good server. Recommended to all! Nice view
The view was stunning and the service and food were amazing and delicious!
Dinner buffet price with seafood are too high. There are no drinks menu, considering the waitress said they have tons of drinks available.
The buffet ended earlier than listed on website
This restaurant somehow has no idea how to seat people or handle reservations. There’s no organization. The food doesn’t remotely justify the expense. Go for the view, have a drink, leave.
Reserved online for 12/25th Xmas dinner. Confirmation clearly stated ‘join us for buffet....’ with no restrictions nor buffet closing time. Arrived on time, waited half and hour and got a table at 8, received a A la cart menu and we were told buffet closed at 7.30.
Manager couldn’t find the notification anywhere from my reservation, and did not offer any complementary offers and informed us the whole building will only pretty much offer bar food at this time.
Took 40 minutes to get a glass of water.
It was okay for Christmas brunch/ dinner . I expected way better.
Probably one of the best views in downtown LA. If you just want the view, go to the lobby on the 70th floor (yes the lobby is on the 70th floor). OK, now with that out of the way, for a Christmas buffet it is bit overpriced compared to others, given the selection of food but overall we had a great time. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The seafood bar could have been better with the addition of lobster tails and oysters which were missing from the bar. The roast elk was one of the best I've ever had, so I definitely loaded up on this. The artisan bread was to die for. I wish I could have taken a loaf home. The pumpkin squash soup topped with cranberries and pomegranate seeds were outstanding. The rest of the family loaded up on the crabs, salmon, and macaroons.
Way overpriced for the quality of the food. View was terrific though.
The view at 69th floor is the real drawing card. The place is exceptionally clean and service is friendly. We have been here several times. Buffet and a la carte items are above average, but the prices are quite a bit above too.
I read the other reviews that stated the food wasn’t worth the price they were charging. I should have believed them and picked a different restaurant. There are other buffet restaurants that offer more food selection (including seafood) at half the price. The food was good but not great. Granted that Dekkadance has breath taking views, it does not justify the hefty price tag.
Cons: Price, food selection, no group tables of 4 or more by the window
Pros: The view, the service, the drinks are good
Nice quality for a buffet. Beautiful view! and great desserts.
1. Enjoyed a great night view.
2. May need a better and more choice of food in buffet.
The food is one experience. The view is another. Great place to come for special occasion... or if you want to make any occasion... special.
Lovely place. I would recommend 100% to have the perfect view and a very good breakfast !
The view is absolutely beautiful. However、 the food was a disaster. It simply tasted bad、 and I would definitely not reccomend this place to vegetarians.
Food selection was poor... need more choices for price. I could get a better meal selection at a cheap buffet place. However the customer service was great. All the hosts and service personnels were very kind and helpful...
WONDERFUL EVENING DATING PLACE AND SPECIAL FAMILY EVENT!!!
Views were outstanding, the food was good. the desserts can use some more work.
But charging me $6 for each glass of soda water and not telling me that soda water nor the ginger ale was included in the included soft drinks was a $30 mistake that I did not appreciate. Soda water usually comes from the same machine as the rest of the sodas, e.g., Coke, Sprite, just without the flavor syrup.
Food quality was very low and too few selections.
Not worth to pay $75 per person. However the view from 69th floor was excellent.
We attend the Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was very good although the selection somewhat limited for the price. That said, you are paying a premium to experience a location that is like none other in LA. The views are stunning! So, being able to eat and gaze out onto the LA basin makes this a worthwhile experience.
Amazing view with not that great food
It is not worth to pay $35 for lunch buffet
Good service. Amazing view. However I ordered the lobster rolls ($26) and the bread was very dry, and there was little meat. They did offer to provide a complimentary desert, but I don't have a sweet tooth. So they gave me a 10% off for that item only, which saved $2.60... Lol
Bad food. Good service
Amazing scenic views, even if they were somewhat diminished by the smoke from Woolsey fire (not the restaurant's fault). Line for omelet bar was prohibitively long, so we skipped and opted for scrambled eggs instead. All of the food was delicious.
