Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House - Fort Meyers
Amazing dinner! Made reservations so had a minimal wait. Highly satisfied
I made reservations on Open table for a table outside and stated that it was for a 70th birthday. I was very disappointed that they sat us inside next to the kitchen and never even mentioned my mother-in-law’s birthday. We had dropped her off at the front door and she was already seated when we came in. I would have said something if I had been the one to check in. It was a good meal but again, I was just disappointed with the service.
For dinner, we got the Captains platter (the grouper was fishy), steak, cedar plank salmon and mahi mahi. It was all pretty good. We got the take home key lime pie (completely missing flavor).
Birthday celebration
This is a great place to dining and have drink with friends.
Love the location on the water so the ambiance was excellent. The service wad friendly and efficient so top notch. However my wife and I disappointed in the food. We shared a bowl of lobster bisque but it had very little taste. Her risotto was very gummy even after the waiter offered some lobster bisque to loosen it up. I have the special and it was Luke warm. Well give it another try to see if the food quality improves.
Great place to eat!
Valet was great. Server was inattentive
I was billed through American Express for the cost of the meal but I include a generous tip that was NOT reflected in my Amex billing statement, I am trying to figure out how to get the tip to the server who was excellent,
It was our first time to the area. The mahi Rachel was perfect. My taco shells were too hard to pick up. The beans and potatoes were the best part.
Best seafood preparation in Ft. Myers. Great location. Will return soon.
We come here once a week for great seafood! This time we. came for a friends birthday. The food was on point and our waiter was great!!
Outdoor dining
The food was overcooked and dry. The portions were just below average for a seafood restaurant. The valet attendant retrieved my car but it was facing the wrong way to exit the parking lot.
It was busy and the noise level was difficult for a table of five to converse.
Laurie took great care of us! We will plan to return.
Not the place for a romantic dinner, too noisy! Hogfish was good, but overpriced.
We reserved an inside table on OpenTable and selected bar seats, but when we arrived and check in, the hostess walked us outside to a table located on the floating dock. I didn’t have a jacket or a sweater and as our reservation was in the evening it was very chilly. I was freezing and Not happy at all. Deep Lagoon needs to fix their seating reservation system on OpenTable to not include bar seats!!!
Rather upset about the lack of masks through out the crowded restaurant, even the servers didn’t wear their masks correctly. When your trying to be careful and you want to enjoy gathering with friends in the outdoors and the restaurant doesn’t seem to care makes you not want to suggest your restaurant to anyone!
Very good fresh fish - Mahi-Mahi was great. Had firecracker shrimp app - excellent
Nice Happy Hour too
Watched sunset outside --- GREAT place for date, romantic, all groups - classy, elegant good food and service
Service was poor. Food took too long to get ready.
Loved the whole experience!
Outstanding as always!
The restaurant was exceptionally crowded and very loud, not at all conducive to enjoying a meal. The food was tasty but not hot enough. Our server did not come by to ask how everything was after our food was served so there was no opportunity to do anything about it. Our server was running in a lot of directions and made us feel left behind, we were constantly waving him down for things. Honestly, I was glad when the meal was over and we could leave.
Was not aware that we would be seated outside when I made the reservation. Would have preferred to eat inside since it was a cold night. The heaters helped but it still was too cold to be eating out doors.
All good! Valet parking; attentive service; great food!
Enjoy Deep Lagoon every time we go. Friday night was as good as always.
Nice find in the Ft. Myers area. Waterfront patio was really pleasant and all tables had umbrellas. Fun to watch boats come and go.
Very busy beautiful place waiter was excellent and food was great. We will be back , highly recommend
We had specifically made reservations for an outdoor table because we were being joined by an older couple who did not want to eat indoors. When we were shown to our table on the covered porch, it was very clear that the table had been jammed in, and there was no way we could even squeeze into the chairs due to how close the table behind us was. While my husband and I are tall, we are both slim. NO ONE would have been able to fit in that space. We asked to be relocated, and without any explanation or apology, we were shown a table inside and told, “That’s all we have.” The food was excellent, but this is our third experience now with bad service.
The tables on the patio were very crowded and close together... made our party very uncomfortable. Although the food was good, some portions were not hot; lukewarm at best!
Good service but my food was cold. This is not the first time of having receiving cold food
We took the boat over for an exceptional meal. There was plenty of docking and our waitress Cheryl was fantastic........ PS. The staff was fully masked.
Waterfront Sunsets....:)
Our meals were good and Rachel our server was great.
It was very crowded . Most wearing masks . Ate outside but quite noisy. Food very good
Stone crabs were awful, entree was delayed for a very long time and in general the place was not well cleaned nor 'fresh.'
We sat down by the water. It was very peaceful and a beautiful night. Niki was our waitress. She was very friendly, made some great recommendations for our meal and made our evening very pleasant. Our entree was very slow in coming and she kept us in the know, it was a very busy night at the restaurant. We have been there before, so we know the slow dinner was an anomaly. Definitely will return.
What an awesome lunch, Meagan was an awesome server. Food was great, no wait time for a party of 7 at lunch hour and seating was great.
This is the second time that we have dined at Deep Lagoon. The food is delicious, service is excellent and place is very clean. Presentation of food is excellent and second time we went with friends that were very impressed. If I didn’t see the place on open table and read the reviews I would have never found it. Thank you Open Table for advertising this little gem of a restaurant!
Very crowded, but to be expected during season. My dinner excellent. We brought another couple who had never been. She lover her dinner, he was underwhelmed. My husband’s dinner was mixed up, so he got the right one when we were about done. Lobster Mac & cheese not great, although there was a lot of lobster
Deep Lagoon never disappoints. Best seafood experience around 💜💙🧡💙🧡
