I had been to Deep Blue a few times previously and so knew the view and food was good. I was AMAZED at the Thanksgiving buffet. A huge table laden with oysters and shrimp to start off. The main buffet had a fresh local turkey that tasted fabulous! I don't like ham but they had that too and the lasagna was good. The crabcakes were small and mostly filler but that was the only negative. The absolutely HUGE positive was the dessert choices!!! I could not believe they had Smith Island Cake on the menu! WOW. And not just the original flavor, they also had the seasonal carrot cake version. FABULOUS!! I must also say every person working was so happy and polite and our waitress was A+++. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a delightful dining experience by the water with great ambience and food!!!

Had an exceptional Thanksgiving experience at Deep Blue. Great views were paired with good food and wonderful people. It was well worth the two hour and change drive. I look forward to booking future outings here and plan to be back for the next Thanksgiving meal.

It was a see special night for Veterans so I took my husband. Retired Major, US Army, 22+ year, veteran, who served in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. He ordered from a set menu, which totally disturbed me. When I first saw Deep Blue email, I was hoping to see that the veterans could order off the main menu. A nice steak would have been lovely! Perhaps if you decide to honor the Veterans next year, you'll be a bit more generous and add a nice steak to that menu. Thank you for kind gesture. the food was not at all tasty. we had restaurant reservations and were not seated in the restaurant (slow day I suppose). my fish was at best average my wife's dinner was unappetizing and her decaf coffee was not drinkable. Desserts were good however. Not a value for the money.

We dined early Sunday evening and the restaurant was not busy. Despite mentioning on our reservation that the meal was a special occasion, we did not receive any special attention. Service was extremely slow and whatever we asked for took several requests with long periods between them. No one ever checked back to see if our meals were satisfactory or if we needed anything. Even getting a glass of water refilled was difficult. My husband and I both ordered unsweetened iced tea. Each serving arrived in a different color. Our coffee at the end of the meal appeared to be of the instant variety. The broccoli was terribly undercooked.

Lobster in lobster roll sandwich was made from frozen lobster meat. Consistency was rubbery and flavor was bland. French frys were very good. Street Corn appetizer was flavorful but very messy. Corn could have been more thorougly grilled.

We took my stepfather here for his birthday and it was lovely. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We had a nice relaxing meal with live music on the outdoor deck and an evenly paced non rushed delivery of courses. Our server was wonderful. We ate inside because my parents don't tolerate the heat very well, but, the outdoor seating looked to be comfortable with a great view! Indoors also has great views and the decor is tasteful and elegant. If I had to add any negative comments, the only things I could say is I would suggest some signs in the parking area for direction as to where to park so you don't have to climb the stairs. And if ordering the scallops, though delectable, the portions are small, so order some sides. Great experience overall, will definitely visit again!

Terrible margaritas started us off. Tasted like lime water. The grill marks on my salmon made the whole piece taste awful. Maybe they need to clean the grids?? Chicken sandwich was okay but not great. Lobster roll was the best things at the table but too much mayonnaise. Other than that, the service was great and view is lovely.

Food and service were excellent - really nice view with sun, water, boats, and marina. We chose to sit inside because it was too hot and buggy outside but will definitely return with bug spray when its cooler. Bar outside is a great place to get a drink and even sit and eat plus the bartender is awesome!!

We ate on the outdoor deck. The view of the scenery off the deck was outstanding. The food was excellent, the service very and the cost reasonable. As a bonus, they had a band playing, 3 guitars and drummer and they were one of the besr local bands I have ever heard.

We've be to this restaurant about 3 times. The first 2 times it was really good. This last time, we were very disappointed. We all had crab cakes, they were small and with a lot of filler. If we had been told that they had a problem with insects we would have moved inside.

Very busy. Placed at a bar high top even though we had reservations for outdoor seating. waited twenty min for a server to come- had to ask. Bees were a nuisance. Band was way too loud as well as very slow service. No one cleared the table after appetizers, table was over run with dishes/glasses. Calamari was cold but tasted ok. Rockfish is excellent as well as lobster roll. Waitress was sweet just super busy and too few workers. Overall the food would bring us back FOR SURE. Excellent meals.

The most priceless sunsets golden light setting over the beauty of the Sassafras as it reaches out to the Chesapeake Bay...Deep Blue at City Knight has great food, great staff, great managed hospitality...head 30 minutes from Newark, 35-45 from Wilmington, about about the same from Baltimore, and Dover... We loved Deep Blue and I think, so will you!

Lovely evening on the patio. Service was great. For a week night, it was busy and the manager, Chris, came around twice to make sure all was OK. The Happy Hour drinks and food were terrific. We will be going back soon!

First time there! It was fantastic, our server was Madison and she really took care of us! Super polite and attentive! Victoria came to our table to welcome us and ask how our meal was. We told her food was awesome and Madison a delight. We will definitely be back!

The raw oysters were excellent, and the crabcakes are superb. I would have ordered a house salad, but it comes with (in my opinion the grossly overused) balsamic dressing, and the other choices were very heavy. There was no simple vinaigrette available. How is it that balsamic has replaced vinaigrette? So, instead, I ordered the grilled asparagus. Yukk! They had absolutely no seasoning. How about some olive oil, a little salt, garlic, oregano? In addition, the tips were burned, and the rest was too tough to chew. Three unedible asparagus for $9. To be fair, a few days ago, I had the crabcake with green beans, and they were very good. The service was slow, for which I am generally compassionate, given staff shortages that seem to exist everywhere these days, but I was taken aback when the oysters were delivered to the table along with our crabcakes. I was grateful when the waiter offered to take them back until we had eaten the oysters. The chocolate ice cream was excellent, but my husband didn't think the strawberry was noteworthy.
