Brunch was way overpriced for the offering. Drinks were difficult to get. Food warmers were too hot and overcooked the food.Salmon was ok. Chicken was dried out due to warmers. Raw bar was good. Fresh biscuits would have been much better than the pre-fab ones.

Dinner for 2 at 5:45 on a Saturday. While we were seated right away, we walked the perimeter of the building to find the entrance. This is a building on a hill that has a tavern, restaurant, and an inn. We eventually found the entrance to the restaurant on the back side of the building after climbing a dozen or so stairs to the outdoor dining/deck. Annoying. We were seated right away at an inside table overlooking the dock/water. It was too windy outside otherwise the deck dining would have been great! Inside still provided a nice view. Weirdly, the door to the deck dining had a broken closure, and every time a server came in or out, the door would SLAM and shake the tables and scare people eating. A couple complained to the manager and promised to fix it but it slammed 5x then the patron himself would stop the door from slamming! FIX THAT DOOR! We only ordered 2 apps, bacon wrapped scallops and the crab dip with tortilla chips. Both were good. She commented the scallops lacked flavor. I thought they were ok. The crab dip was freshly baked as were the tortilla chips. Our waitress provided outstanding service with accommodating every request we had. Wifey instructed me to make sure I comment the restaurant was out of blackberry syrup which prevented her being able to order a blackberry lemonade cocktail. This was a pleasant dining experience and service was very good. We would likely come back to dine next time we’re in town.

On patio there is little noise, so it gets a2 noise rating even when it’s crowded. I had scallops entree for $34. The description was “pan seared Sea scallops in parsnip puree with roasted asparagus.” I was served 4 sea scallops in a puddle of mashed potatoes- the scallops were very tasty and big but too crispy on one side. I got 3 roasted asparagus. It seemed chintzy to only give me 3 Asparagus and not to tell me that the parsnip purer was being replaced with mashed potatoes ( which were very tasty, but only 1/3 cup quantity) It was an entree fir a light eater 🧐 BUT that left room for the delectable strawberry rhubarb gallette which was fabulous!

It's always hit or miss when you eat here, lately more miss than hit. Service is consistently incredibly slow; food delivered cold, they're always out of several things on the menu. We won't be back.

Went here last night 5/24 for a date night - menu was promising - made reservations through OpenTable - hostess that greeted us through the tavern entrance was not very welcoming and sat us at the first table when you enter the tavern to the left behind our large family sitting in the middle of the room with a young child. Tavern room is very outdated and the noise level echoes, especially when you have a young child banging silverware on a table beside you. Two different servers waited on us. One was Angie who was also working the bar in the tavern, we started with the fried Brussels. These were really great. They were hot, good portion and the glaze that was on them tasted very good. After seeing some other meals come out for the other tables and the time that it was taking Angie the bartender to service the tables as she was very busy, making drinks for the rest of the restaurant, we decided it would be easier to do more appetizers. We ordered the Maryland crab dip, the Yankee Yakitori and both ordered bowls of the crab bisque. Maryland crab dip very good, lump crab meat and seasoned very well. The Yankee yakitori also very good. Only had two beef skewers for the value. I think there needed to be three or four as there was minimal meat on the beef skewer and the glaze that was on them and the was very similar to the brussels and was great. Though not enough value for the price to order that appetizer again, which is disappointing. The crab bisque soup that we ordered when served was cold to warm temperature and needed to be sent back. My wife actually had to get up from our table to go get Angie behind the bar to let her know that our soup had been brought out cold to us. Angie immediately took it away and had the kitchen remake it. When it was brought out a second time, it was hot and there was more additional lump crab meat in the bisque. Nothing was offered to be taken off the bill which at-least should have been offered. Likely won’t be back.
