deep blu Seafood Grille Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I spent our first anniversary here and we're very impressed. Hicham our service was very attentive, knowledgeable and polite. His team knew it was out anniversary and made us a custom menu then started us with a free appetizer. We proceed to have a great meal and to end the night they gave us free dessert and a laminated menu signed by the entire staff! We will go back next time we are in Orlando! Thanks!
We went during magical dining month. Positives: Comfortable seating, elegant décor, good service. Creative, fresh seafood. Especially good was the kale salad and crab cake. Negatives: heavy bean mixture served with wahoo (I did not like the combination) and bright lighting over the cooking area that shined harshly into the dining area. Overall nice evening.
We went here to try a restaurant we had never eat. Good service drinks good but smaller portions for magical dining I had fish of the day wahoo very good and my hubby had the cipionno which was also good crab cake and kale salad was great. Dessert was ok cream brûlée and chocolate bomb. Prices were high if ordering off the regular menu
We tried this restaurant on the Magical Dining Month plan and the food was A-1. We both had Seafood Coppiciano. It was fish, shrimp, and scallops in a lightly spiced broth with vegetables and noodles. Simply amazing.
Our server, Cesar, was pleasant and professional. He was always there but yet he wasn't. He is definitely someone who truly loves his work.
We will absolutely go back.
I have yet to be disappointed by the creative, flavorful, and fresh features served here. I'm a big seafood fan and the Seafood Chippino did not disappoint! The Short Rib is also a winner. If you are a fan of Kale, the Kale salad is a must.
Great view and excellent bar. The service is always prompt, but I found my server this time to lack the friendliness that I have come to expect.
Worth the visit.
This visit was our second. The kale salad is absolutely my favorite! Our meals were delicious and the staff was warm, friendly and very professional. We enjoyed our experience so much last year during Magical dining we definitely wanted to return again this year.
Getting to the resort can be a little of a chore, as it is tucked away in the back of Bonnet Creek, but well worth the effort. Valet parking is very convenient and once inside, it is a very short walk to the restaurant.
The décor and ambiance of the dining area is enhanced by the view of the tropical foliage in the resort. The wait staff was very prompt and attentive, without being intrusive.
The food was excellent! Described very well by our server and served with very creative presentation. The staff and kitchen did a great job in preparing my wife's meal according to her request.
Overall excellent experience and we will definitely be back when we are in that area.
Good atmosphere (especially if you want to get away from the Disney resorts for one night), food was right on delicious and a nice variety of drinks - not just the usual. We like the open kitchen concept - all of the chefs were friendly. If we didn't have our 1 year old, it would have been fun to sit at the counter to watch our dinner prepared.
When we arrived at deep blu I casually mentioned to the hostess that it was my husband's birthday. From then on they made the entire evening very special for him. The chef brought over an amuse bouche with his compliments and the manager checked in to make sure everything was good. At the end of the meal we were full so didn't order dessert and they brought a small creme brûlée out with a candle and a menu signed by the staff. The service from start to finish was outstanding. But even better than that was the food. The crab cake appetizer is truly all crabmeat and delicious! My husband loved his cioppino and I enjoyed the golden tile fish. We also splurged and added the crab mac-n-cheese which was incredible. I was wishing I had my leftovers for breakfast the next day! Many thanks to the staff for making my husband's birthday dinner one he will remember.
I needed a restaurant convenient to where I was staying and convenient for my niece after work as she lives in the area. Deep Blu looked interesting and did not disappoint. The menu offers a mix of things that I've found only in my favorite NYC seafood restaurant and I started with sashimi and northwestern oysters. My niece had a crab cake that was loaded with nice lumps of crab. The chef's daily was a delightfully delicious black grouper which was wonderful!! Maybe the topper was our server Kate. She was excellent throughout. Professional, pleasant, thoroughly knowledgable and just the right amount of attention. Thank you Kate for making a nice dinner perfect
My wife and I ate here for our 1 year anniversary and had one of the best meals we've had in a while. The fish was very fresh, all of their food is free of GMO, and the food preparation was top notch. Our server, Rachel, was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and made some great recommendations. She was attentive, but not intrusive, and definitely made the evening special. They even provided a complimentary dessert sampler, which was fantastic. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Orlando.
My wife and I went there with high expectations but was totally disappointed. The only bright spots was the drinks and waiter. Mussels were ok, bread was cold in the center. My steak was supposed to be blackened but it wasn't even close. It was a good strip but did not deliver what I was looking for.
We highly recommend deep blu Seafood Grill! From the cocktail and wine list to the starters, entrees and desserts, the meal was perfect. We try to patronize restaurants that support sustainable fish and local harvest programs and deep blu has a strong commitment there. The food quality and attention to artistic presentation was impressive. We started with the Fountain of Youth cocktail which was delicious. We can highly recommend the shrimp cocktail and the scallop/pork belly appetizer. My husband had one of the featured selections for dinner, the Hallibut. I had the scallops and local grits entree. The food was a melt-in-your-mouth, sublime experience! We topped it off with sharing a dessert sampler since we couldn't make up our minds--you get 3 full sized desserts which is enough to share for 3 people! The desserts were heavenly. We visit Orlando yearly and have our list of "favorite" restaurants to return to, and deep blu will be on that list! Next time we will try the sushi, which judging by the menu descriptions, sounded amazing!
This place was so fabulous we went twice in a week. We started with sushi both nights. The cilantro roll was amazing and the sushimi was top notch. The calamari fries were also very unique and equally amazing. I had the seafood dish both nights and my wife had the lamb---both were very good. I was shocked the place was not that busy on a Saturday night. Good selection of wines and beers and Manny was a great server. Highly recommend.
The restaurant is located in the Wyndam Hotel. The valet is complementary when dining and the restaurant is understated elegance. The service was a bit slow but picked up after we ordered. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had sushi and appetizers. The cilantro roll was incredible! There is a bar just outside has live music. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back!
We had FOUR little kids running around OUR table and the parents did NOTHING !!!!
The food was good but not GREAT for being voted the #1 Orlando.
There are MANY other restaurants in Orlando that deserve to be #1 besides this one !
There were four "foodies" in our party, NOT even one of us thought it was that good.
The decor is very nice and our waiter was AWESOME.
For the amount of money we spent, there are at least 300 places we could have gone that would have been MUCH better !
NONE of us will ever go back here.
The entire staff went above and beyond and beyond to make our 39th wedding anniversary experience the best. When I made the reservation I simple ask to have two drinks ready for us because it was our 39th. Well, we were greeted with congratulations at the hosted desk, we were given specially print menus with congratulations printed at the top. Whenever anyone approached our table we were congratulated. But what they did at the end was why they went over the top. First, they put together a special dessert tray for us, then each staff member signed our menu and had it laminated to give to us as a keep sake. If you are looking for a 5 Star + restaurant, this is the place to go in Orlando FL.
This was a very clean and beautiful restaurant. Our waitress Rachel was great and very quick with service. The food was delicious and they gave you a nice amount on your plate. The mango sushi was wonderful! To top of our romantic night we had a fantastic dessert served to us. We can't wait to go back again!
