deep blu Seafood Grille Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely amazing food. Went in looking to eat something we saw on an online menu but wasn't offered in the restaurant, the manager assisted in making sure we had what we wanted! Suburb service from our waiter Bill & manager... worth our hour drive!! will be back
Enjoyed this restaurant. Did not like where they first seated us. I requested to be seated at another table and they obliged. All the staff were great, very friendly, and made you feel welcome and special. The food was very good and the children's menu had some good choices.
It was a bitter sweet dinner as my husband spent Christmas day in the hospital. The cancelation fee was graciously forgiven and the three of us enjoyed our dinner. Scallops were perfect as was the sea bass. Also enjoyed the Reisling selected. Found the restaurant to be in the $$$$ category.
Service was extremely slow
Had to ask 3 different people for water
Then waited 30 minutes for table to be cleared and asked 3 people for check
Menu on line was outdated and they didn't have the soup or entree that I wanted
Our red snapper was over cooked and very dry and still had skin on
The clam chowder was very good and the initial waitress nice but not attentive
I would not recommend
Fantastic meal, Deep Blu heaven.....best seafood in town bar none, great service, good wines. You won't be disappointed here especially when selecting the seafood options, not that the others are poor just it has to be seafood when pay a visit here, take the advice of the waiter they know what is best on the day.
I was eating at Deep Blu because it was recommended by friends who stay at hotel all the time.
First, I ordered a shrimp cocktail. It was $18. I did not balk at price because that is the price at nice restaurants. BUT I ONLY RECEIVED 3 MEDIUM SIZED SHRIMP!!! IF you are going to charge $6 per shrimp, they better be HUGE!.
Second, I ordered the New York Strip and requested it cooked medium well. I was served a steak cooked between rare and medium rare. It took so long to bring back my steak that my wife had already finished eating.
No apology from manager, no offer of free desert. And I had to wait 15 minutes for my bill.
We went for our anniversary since we stayed at Bonnet Creek. Server was not rude and wasn't really friendly either. Husband ordered steak, which was fine. Cooked well. He also ordered Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes. Brussels sprouts were soaked in a very tangy sauce that distracted from the content. Whipped potatoes were great. I ordered short ribs which looked and tasted much like a roast. Somewhat dry. Perhaps seafood would have been a better way to go considering the name of the establishment. Just my two cents. Cost was over $120 and we did have 1-2 drinks each.
There were 7 of us in our dinner party and we loved that we were seated at a round table-perfect!! The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the ambiance was so lovely. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this restaurant. We also will be sure to return the next time we are in town.
Gambled and lost - disregarded reviews saying this restaurant was high priced for okay quality. My colleague enjoyed his raw oysters and we were both pleased with our crab cakes. But the entrees - I went with the Red Snapper & he went with the signature dish featuring lobster tail - would have decent at $18-$22. Since my entree was $34 and his was $45, we felt like gouged tourists amid some pretty fabulous ambiance.
Service - Deep Blu was 65% full when we arrived at 7PM, so I figured our waiter's wife was in labor in the hospital. Why else would he push us to order everything up front - implying the kitchen often got backed up? The waiter asked us about clearing plates when entrees, then deserts, were half eaten. Any inquiry about how we were enjoying the food? No. Maybe he'd already been burned by that question.
Recommendation - make Deep Blue your 3rd or 4th choice, then stick to the oysters, crab cake, shrimp cocktail and enjoy the ambiance. Just avoid the entrees (and hope for a better waiter).
Best time in Disney on business. Food was outstanding. Service was outstanding. Group of six of us may have been a bit loud but after meal we retreated to the outdoor balcony and enjoyed cigars we purchased in the lobby store. Has a great bar as well. Stay at the Wyndham, eat here, and you may never want to leave.
we were staying at hotel and had a wonderful dinner one night. Was cooked to perfection, and tasted just as good, we sure didn't leave hungry !! Our waiter knew the menu, and was very helpful, without being a bother, which means plenty to us. Would surely return if in the area, we were VERY pleased all the way around.
As always, deep blu was a wonderful experience! The food was outstanding and creative and our waitress, Kathy Phan, never disappoints! She delivers such outstanding service that it makes each time so memorable. I definitely recommend deep blu for exceptional food, great service and ambiance. Kudos to all!
I was excited to bring my sister-in-law to dinner to deep blu restaurant and raved about the food. It was my second visit during magical dining . I was so disappointed! Not only was the cioppino serving smaller with less seafood but the broth was quite spicy. The server was hardly visible and superficially pleasant. Our dining experience was so disappointing and felt embarrassed for having raved about it!
Went for Magical Dining and had a great meal. Loved the crabcake we had for an appetizer. Large chunks of real crab throughout and very tasty. I ordered the Cioppino not realizing how spicy it was so I traded with my husband for his short ribs. Yummy dish but I was disappointed with the portion size. There was one 2" piece and the second piece was about 3 1/2", that's all folks. Dessert was a rich and creamy chocolate. Atmosphere is relaxing and we overlooked the pool so it felt like we were on vacation ourselves rather than in town.
