deep blu Seafood Grille Ratings and Reviews
This was the second time my husband and I have visited this restaurant in a month, and it has become one of our favorites in Orlando. We are from NY, and LOVE good food, and Blu Seafood Grill does not disappoint! The seared ahi tuna appetizer is amazing! I have never been a fan of tuna, but I can NOT stop thinking about this dish It may, in fact, be the best appetizer I can remember having in recent years! The oysters are incredible, and every fish dish we have had has been delicious. As a side dish, try the truffled asparagus...heavenly! We will most definitely be back!!
The service was outstanding and so was the food. They had a great wine menu and our server was able to describe the various wines on the menu. We were visiting from Michigan. We liked it so much we suggested it to our adult children an their spouses. They raved about the food and what a nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner without the kids.
Found Deep Blu Seafood Grille on Open Table, which has never let me down in my extensive business travels all of the U.S. The ambiance and view for dinner is amazing. Yes it is in a hotel, but it is beautiful place to have a business or a casual dinner with someone. I have saved Blu Seafood Grille as a favorite while in Orlando. Service was amazing and spot on just like the food was. Our table had a combination of surf & turf. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My favorite was the Clam Chowder... so many memories of traditional clam chowder you would eat in the northeast. I would recommend this amazing place to anyone. Lastly, the best part is it is outside of Orlando which means less crowded which I look for when dinning in a new city.
The food was very tasty and presented elegantly. Everything appeared made to order. Some different and tasty menu items(the kale salad was excellent).
The lobster mac n cheese side and crispy Russell sprouts were also very tasty.
I thought it was a bit over priced for the amount of food per serving.
Lovely seafood restaurant with fish so fresh it practically greets you from their ice beds. Delicious ahi tuna appetizer was made a little harder to eat, as we weren't given plates and the server who gave it to us disappeared quickly. Cippinno was fabulous, with lots of grouper, shrimp, mussels and a half lobster tail. Seasoned beautifully, but could have used more broth. Biggest disappointment was the supposed key lime tart with pink meringue. It was four fairly tasteless gelatinous cubes. No crust or tart, and a few little pink crystals sprinkled on the plate did not qualify as meringue. Some oranges balls that looked like caviar were I know not what. They had an odd texture and were incongruous with this dish. We ate three quarters of one cube and would honestly have sent it back, but the water brought us the check before we asked for it, at that point we decided to just leave. It IS a lovely room. Nice if you overlook the pool.
We enjoy Deep Blue periodically throughout the year. We were there 01/07/17 as well as this past Saturday night. The Chilean Sea Bass is always spectacular. My husband enjoyed the Sea Bass and I managed to pull myself away from the Sea Bass to enjoy the Cioppino.
This was to be a special occasion, and it turned out to an occasion all right. Unfortunately, it was not a very good one. Food was acceptable, but I have had better service at Denny's. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, and other diners who came in after us were served while we sat quiet with an empty bread plate. My wife commented the server must be out on a smoke break...several times. Any business in business needs to provide the value for the money spent, and I feel blu Seafood Grille did not live up to this simple concept.
I picked this from Open Table looking for good seafood. The waitress was very attentive without being overbearing and recommended a fish I had not tried before, taking her advice it was outstanding. Prepared well, very tasty and exceptional presentation.
I would highly recommend for any occasion. She also recommended the crab mac & cheese, wonderful. Next time I'm in Orlando this will be a definite stop.
