deep blu Seafood Grille Ratings and Reviews
The seafood is always fresh and wonderful. We were fortunate enough to be served by our favorite waiter, Bill W. I started with oysters and my husband had the NE Clam chowder, both excellent! I had the seafood/risotto special and my husband had the blue crab crusted grouper, both excellent. We discussed wine with Bill, who is very knowledgeable. Had a great Austrian wine to accompany our seafood selections.
As we were finishing a glass of wine, Bill appears with a dessert trio, compliments of Meghan, the manager.
Again, a wonderful dinner with great service at Deep Blu. Can’t wait to return.
Great service. The salads were ok but awesome that they offered to split them in the kitchen. The main meals and desserts were great. We told them in the reservation that it was a bday and they gave us a great dessert on the house! Valet was validated! Good night
Ceases, our server, provided us with a wonderful evening of food, wine and desert. The fish was done as requested, very nicely plated. The wine list is not large but adequate. Desert was a key lime serving beautifully presented for a birthday theme.
We will return next On my way! In the area.
Nice restaurant atmosphere, somewhat limited menu (could not get a simple Caesars salad), way over priced (but isn't everything near Disney). Open kitchen had one chef that was either clumsy, anger or just carelessly loud with dishes.
Best to be on a company tab...
Beautiful restaurant with a great menu and awesome food! In an area where fast food and chain restaurants dominate the landscape, nice to find a gem like this when you are looking for something different for a special occasion. Try the crab cake and the grouper and you will not be disappointed!
My wife, daughter, and I went to Deep Blu for our 45th wedding anniversary. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation We were surprised at how few tables were occupied at 7PM for a resort restaurant smack in the middle of Disney World. The tables filled up with larger parties as the evening progressed. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and took our orders promptly. My wife had a grilled salmon filet that was very good. My daughter had a NY Strip Steak and while it was good, she has had many better steaks. I had the crab encrusted grouper. I was disappointed. Perhaps it was cooked to long, but it was somewhat tough, which is the first time I have had a tough grouper.
A few nice touches, our menus had been personalized with Happy Anniversary and our names on the top. We were served a special desert, that while good, it was small. My daughter and I ordered a second desert and it wasn't special either. Service between courses was very slow. Our waiter seemed to disappear. For the price, I expected more attention.
Excellent !!!!! They made my birthday dinner very special !!!! The personalized menu was a very nice gesture & creates a memorable keepsake. The food was outstanding!!! I don’t thing I’ve had any better seafood in Florida. We will definitely come back again !!!!! Thank you Deep Blu !!!!
The grouper and crab was prepared with just the right seasoning and the mashed potatoes on which the grouper was placed was excellent! The atmosphere was wonderful with the sounds of so many conversations and happy spirits abounding. Location was perfect with a view of the Disney fireworks after dinner. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.
We went to meet some friends and to try their magical dining menu. Food was delicious . There were no grain free dessert options on the magical dining menu (corn creme brulee is corn, which is a grain), but they substituted fresh berries for us which was fine. The downside was our server. She was abrupt and never came back to refill my drink even one time in four hours. I had sparkling water with a lemon and never got a single refill or asked if I wanted one (which I did). I will say the bus boys did well keeping the plain water filled for everyone else (I didn't drink my still water so it just sat and turned warm). When she brought the bill, she forgot to put the charge slip in the folder, so there was nothing to sign. I couldn't find her to flag her down. She finally must have found it herself and brought it over to me. But after we paid the bill, we never had any service whatsoever after that, even though we stayed quite awhile talking with our friends. Any place else I've ever been always would keep serving us drinks or at the very least, ask if we needed/wanted anything else. Not this server. She was done with us once we paid. Not very high end service. But the food was good.
Hermoso lugar increible ambiente. El servicio fue genial la atencion de los mozos en especial Julio. Comida de primer nivel, excelente carta de vinos. Todo ideal en una noche ideal para festejar los 15 años de mi hija!!! Volveremos y gracias por la maravillosa noche.
Very enjoyable meal. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed their meal. The dinner rolls were mouthwatering! Many of us had the seafood cioppino( spicy but delicious!!) a couple had the ribeye steak(LOVED IT) and the scallops meal(very impressed). We were staying at the Wyndham Grand Bonnet Hotel and the restaurant is inside. All the reviews I'd read were spot on. Going back once more before leaving.
Our last night in Orlando, I saved the best dining experience for last. We enjoyed a fabulous meal highlighted by an amazing tuna sashimi appetizer, fresh oysters, a delicious kale salad and wonderful crab topped grouper! Manny our waiter was fantastic and understood how to pace a meal. Kudos to the bartender as well who made the perfect dirty martini! You can dress a bit casually or be fancy as the host and manager give a warm welcome to all who come in.
The ambiance was wonderful, the food superb- well done chef! Service was impeccable (thank you Bill) Made my husband's landmark birthday an event he'll remember!! We WILL be back! Both loved our meals- kale salad is spectacular! Fish fresh tasting and done to perfection. And who wouldn't want one of these desserts off my husbands birthday "sampler"?
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary with our 4 children (ages 8-20) last night. Manny was our server and he provided exceptional 5star level customer service. He answered all the questions we had and served our multiple course dinner inn a timely manner. The entry into the restaurant is a little unorthodox but you're in a hotel. The sushi bar and the bar are near the entrance, giving you a great opportunity to have a cocktail and a sushi roll before your meal, if you wish. The room is aesthetically pleasing and we were seated. We enjoyed the recommended delicious crab cake appetizers and a kale salad that had an incredibly good dressing. The entrees were tasty and properly seasoned. They were presented beautifully with the fillets of fish perched upon a bed of tri-color orzo and we requested the sauce on the side. We shared locally sourced swordfish, golden tile, and grouper, grilled to perfection. One of my kids hates fish and the meat selections are appetizing as well. He had a short rib dish and really enjoyed it, not leaving a morsel behind, it was so good. The dessert selection and after dinner drinks were limited but of great quality. The Florida Key Lime Tart was very good and the kids enjoyed ice cream from the ice cream store adjacent to the bar near the entry. There also was a nutella cheesecake, hopefully it will be on the menu the next time we eat here, which will be soon. The cocktails and wine selection are very nice and there are a few local craft beers listed. Valet parking was validated by the restaurant so we didn't pay the $25 parking fee. From start to finish, our anniversary dinner was superb.
