Dee Lincoln's Steak Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food was great for the price. But it was so loud in the restaurant I could barely hear the people at my table. I'm only 25 and went with my family. We couldn't talk across the table, only to the people immediately next to us at a round circle table because it was so loud and echoed in the restaurant.
If you are looking for a vibrant atmosphere where you can enjoy conversation with friends , eat delicious food, and be served by a wait staff that knows and understands good service, then Dee Lincoln's reinvented Plano restaurant should go to the top of your list of restaurants to try. Taste the bison burger!
This place's reputation for steaks is well deserved. The filet mignon was a beautiful cut, cooked perfectly to order, with flavorful, balanced seasoning, and the right sear to hold in all those delicious juices. For dessert, we had the creme brulee, which is something I love and order often. This was the best creme brulee I've had anywhere - and I don't say that lightly. The crust on top was just right, and something they've done to the custard itself made the flavor richer than most places do it. I highly recommend it.
Dee Lincoln changed its name to Lincoln Park Grill a few weeks ago. We'd dined there a couple of times before the change, and just went for the first time since the change over. To me, the change is an unqualified improvement. The menu has a broader scope, while the old favorites are still there. It was a bit livelier. Seems like there are more/better options for lunch with this change. Some quicker, smaller, less expensive options will put this in our lunch choice rotation. In summary, we liked it as it was before, and we like it more now.
We went to Dee Lincoln's during restaurant week and were very impressed. In fact, it was our favorite of 5 restaurants, including Del Friscos. We had a bead on Dee Lincoln's for New Years Eve and went. They've changed. It is not the upscale steak gem off the main it was last summer. It's just more like any other restaurant in the area; a semi-bistro with just two steaks on the menu. Don't get me wrong, the steaks were still great and the staff was great, but the change kind of killed the overall ambience. The steak "gem" is apparently moving to Frisco ... where else?
Now Lincoln Park. Was not aware until we arrived. We arrived at 8pm and they were already out of their special. They also did not have bison burger. No beer on draft. No bud light. Calamari has too much batter. Fries have no taste. Burgers were pretty good. Will likely never return.
