About this restaurant

Vancouver Now Has Its Very-Own Georgian Restaurant!
Dediko, owned by a mother-son team, serves the country’s famous stuffed breads and dumplings out of a cheery Evergreen Boulevard cafe. Dediko’s menu is stacked with the classics of that region, with a number of different khachapuri, soup-filled dumplings called khinkali, walnut-heavy vegetable dishes called phkali, and various grilled meats called mtsvadi. Also coming from the grill, Dediko’s kababi consists of a kebab-like grilled ground chicken patty with Georgian spices, folded in a roll of lavash flatbread. Nico Bakh is partial to a homey dish called lobio, a bean stew served in an imported Georgian pot, complete with a side of fermented vegetables and a Georgian cornbread called mchadi.

Excellent food. If you are unfamiliar, ask the staff, they are very good. Try the wine aged in clay, superb! Must try the Khachapuri.

Delicious food. Great explanations. Attentive staff. Cozy restaurant. The music was a little loud, but it was a fun vibe. As we age, it's hard to find places that are quiet. But...it won't prevent me from going again.

Absolutely delicious food and wine - and best service. So fun to experience Georgian cuisine. We live in Portland, but learned about this gem from my nephew's girlfriend. I couldn't quit thinking about the unique and yummy food photos my sister sent. We went for our anniversary and had the best dinner. The owner was so helpful in explaining the menu and letting me try wine before selecting a bottle. I loved the beautiful atmosphere and easy parking. We will definitely be back and bring friends!

The food there is very authentic and good. They don’t have air conditioning so beware to those that get hot easily if going in the summer.

I've written many reviews in the past two decades, but this one is for the books. We're very well-traveled and well fed. We travel to experience wine and food. Italy, Denmark, France, the UK, Costa Rica, Brazil, the list goes on... we've had some stellar experiences in the past 20 years of dining around the world. It is difficult to make it on my "top 10 list" and the Top 10 list only happens after a few+ amazing experiences. DEDIKo broke a record. In one single meal, it went from our "first time here" to my TOP 3 list! Absolutely the best restaurant in all of PDX. We've tried twice in the past two years to get into DEDIKo without a reservation (our fault and our loss). On a whim, we grabbed a reservation yesterday - the best decision EVER! First, we were with our two besties, one who works in wine-country. He isn't impossible to please with wine, but it is certainly a challenge to impress him at times. We shared bottles of the Marani Gemieri and the Vaziani Tsinandali... speechless. Again, he's well versed in wine and difficult to impress and I've traveled the world, specifically to visit wine countries in France, Portugal, Italy, etc. The wine will knock your socks off. We took a family approach to dinner, deciding order many menu items and split them between the four of us (best decision ever). First came Lamb Mtsvadi. What even is this dish except heaven? This was followed by the Chicken & Pork Kababi which was equally wonderful. I thought we were impressed until the Adjaruli Khachapuri came... hands-down one of the best bread dishes I've had in my life. The Khinkali was a dumpling so good, we wanted to drink the broth from our plates! We aren't the "order again" types, but we had a second Adjaruli Khachapuri and didn't regret a bite. For dessert, the table split two orders of Baklava and for someone who hates desert, I was smiling! Hands down the best restaurant on the Western Coast. Absolutely get a reservation now and enjoy a most perfect dinner!
