Deck 84 Ratings and Reviews
I had a reservation it was crowded and raining so outdoor seating was closed. We were a table of four they gave us a table that had fans blowing on high we did not wNt to sit at that location. They could or would not turn them down. They did not want to give us another table they said they were all reserved when in fact the restaurant was. It full at all. The hostess was rude and not accommodating. We then asked for a manager who said he would definetly find us a table but we had to wait. We were willing to do that and nit did not take long. Within less then an hour there were many empty tables probably because the weather was so bad. I have eaten there many times thru the years bring out of town guests and everyone loves it but that night the staff being the hostess and the gal that seated us were rude not friendly and not willing to make the customer happy when we did have a reservation.
The manager dealt with the situation properly but it took time.
I would go back only because we eat there a lot and know that is not the norm but that night it was unacceptable. If I had never been there before I would not return.
This was my second trip back to Deck 84. This time it was to celebrate a birthday. The interior is lovely, but outdoor seating next to the intercoastal is a big reason we go. Fish dip and fish tacos have been a staple thus far, but the rest of the menu looks great too. You can also order off-menu items, like chicken fingers for my picky daughter. It can be pricy, but there are affordable dishes and drinks. We love it at sunset. There is a lively bar scene both in and outside, and the music is loud but not overwhelming. My family and I consider visiting Deck 84 a special treat and plan to go back soon. Be prepared for crowds unless you go at an off time.
I like taking house guests here as it’s a fun, cool vibe place on the inter coastal. We had a lovely waitress who recommended great cocktails.
However, although the food was okay, the portion size on my husbands Chicken Milanese was so small they should have been embarrassed to serve it. It was one very small chicken cutlet with a few sprigs of greens. We never complain about cost for a wonderful meal, but $20 plus for that plate was very disappointing.
Weather too hot (90 degrees) to sit on the deck ... which is fantastic ... so we are inside. Service quick and efficient ... though we were close to a REALLY noisy table ... can't do much about that. Our boys loved the burger and the starter selection was fun .... next time we'll go when the evening drop below 80 ... but we will go again!!
We were 4 people and we had an Open Table reservation. They had our reservation when we arrived and we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and we were all pleased with our dinner. The restaurant is right on the Intra Coastal and the view is lovely.
We enjoyed our dinner. The dishes were freshly prepared and the waiter cheerful. Loved the waterfront view. Service was a bit slow though and one part of the order didn't show up. It was a hot eve and so we chose to sit inside . This though didn't let us escape the heat because hot air blew in from deck due frequent opening of door to deck by severers going in and out. Will return.
I was extremely disappointed with my decision to dine at Deck 84. We sat inside and found the restaurant to be rather tired looking. It needs a renovation. I believe the air conditioner was broken and it was very uncomfortable. We started with southwest egg rolls and they were soggy and very greasy. Only one in our party enjoyed their choice of entrees. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of our food.
My second visit, this time for lunch. Outside seating on the deck is nice if it's not too hot, view overlooking the waterway is great. Inside bar and limited seating if it's too hot, as it was for my lunch; but views are still good. Food is above par and prices are reasonable. Staff friendly and attentive, young and attractive. I'm sure the patio bar does a good happy hour trade!
I recommend it for the easy parking, (valet lot), food, ambiance and social crowd. Popular with older singles, groups and families.
