Deck 84 Ratings and Reviews
Service on all levels was VERY good. Drinks were nicely done(we had Mojito, Margarita and a special call). Best mahi sandwich I've had in a long time. Fresh and PERFECTLY grilled! Dessert choice of Creme brulee would have been better without adding pineapple on top.. Overall very nice experience. Only objection was $4.00 for valet parking on a weekday afternoon. Really??? Weekends, on Atlantic, I get it. But there are so many other places to choose in the area with free or comped parking. Would rather put that $4.00 towards food or drink.
Great restaurant .... but just not what we expected. We expected quieter, more formal dining
and were surprised that it was noisy and casual. We had a great time, the ambiance was great.
Had a perfect table to watch all the happenings on the intracoastal. Would go again, but for a
different occasion. We were seeing friends we had not seen in 12 years .... and had a lot of catching up to do.
This is a regular place for us when in town on business. Food is usually good and plentiful.
For a Sunday night the outdoor bar was packed and over crowded but we still had a table overlooking the water far enough away to have a good dinner conversation.
Will continue to frequent when we are in town.
The view and service were great. Ate outside on the water. My daughter loved watching the boats and fish. Husband's fish and chips were inedible (soggy and too much batter); my linguine was tasty but not memorable. Steak, burger, looked as described and the fish sandwich was actually delicious. Kid options were plentiful. Fun family night out. On the way to retrieve our cars from the valet, there was a horrible garbage-like odor. It was unavoidable and overwhelming. Good thing the valet was quick. Won't add this to our regular list of places to eat, but if you want a waterfront drink and good service...
Good part - The server at our table was great, and he gets five stars. Bad part - I arrived early for my reservation, and had a difficult time getting anyone to wait on me at the bar - even though the bar was not very busy. When someone finally waited on me, he was less than cordial. In my Open Table reservation, I had requested a table near the water on the covered deck. The hostess wanted to seat us on the lower level, away from the water (next to the door). I reminded her of my request, so she said, "Well, you're going to have to wait a while for that." Note that this was already ten minutes past my reservation time.
Deck 84 great for any occasion. We have been there for casual get together as well as birthdays and anniversaries. Great food and drinks, excellent service. Loud and criwded for happy hour but loads of fun with good appetizer selection. Will return again and again.
Very disappointed with our experience. We had to wait a very long time for our food. Two of us ordered the special fish and it was extremely salty. The last time we came here one of the meals was also too salty, but I thought I would give it another try, but was sorry we did.
Have been here often and food is generally good, but I ordered the half chicken and it was awful. Very dry and smothered with this heavy gravy, that I didnt like at all. They really should change this to a simple Bar b Que chicken with gravy on the side. Sent back my meal. The others were fine.
Taco Tuesday was a BUST ! WE have eaten here before and it was always great so we thought we would try their Taco Tuesday special. Well, the Tacos were terrible. Absolutely awful. Soggy and tasteless. Will stick to burgers and fries. It's just that kind of place. Service was great and the location is terrific.
I have dined at Deck 84 twice, once with my wife in November 2016 and the second time as a foursome in March 2017. I have enjoyed the experience both times. On both occasions I enjoyed a burger, the first time a special blend burger and the second time a loaded deck burger. In fact on this last visit three out of four of us had the burger. All enjoyed them. They were large and juicy. The fries (potato or sweet potato) were hot, crisp and tasty. The delicious creamy clam chowder at first was served only lukewarm but was returned piping hot. The restaurant location, immediately on the intercostal, with the passing boats and an occasional bridge opening made for a pleasant atmosphere, especially at dusk. I will surely return.
