The food was absolutely phenomenal and I eat out a lot and in many different cities. Louisville did not disappoint at all!! The mussels are a must!
This is our fourth visit to Decca, and it never disappoints. This time we were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Everything we ordered was fresh, interesting, and memorable. Well done!
Came here after my engagement for a surprise dinner with my fiancé’s family. Top-notch service and food. Decca has earned my loyalty for a lifetime.
Decca did such a wonderful job I was very pleased with my entire experience. Cocktails were excellently crafted, my server, Jane was such a delight, as were all the support staff and bartender all working as a team. The ambiance was great and the food was superb, especially my cardamom ice cream sandwich. Decca also made me feel very special for my birthday, will definitely be returning.
Decca is always a treat. We try to go there at least 4-5 times a year as the menu is so seasonal it is like going someplace new each time. There are the standard great items that repeat (Ribeye, ricotta toast, etc) that we love though.
One of our top spots in the city for sure.
Excellent service & food
We loved our experience at Decca. Great food, great outdoor vibe, excellent service!
We loved Decca and will be back! Staff was incredibly friendly and food was on point!!!
Great fresh pasta, delicious muscles
Service is always great. I appreciate the hostess giving us the table by the window that I requested.
An early reservation helped us enjoy the ambiance of the courtyard. Great service and wonderful food left us satisfied and happy!
Decided to try something different and was not disappointed. The food was very good and my husband said his Manhattan was better than most which is high praise from him
The food was full of flavor and complexity! Every bite made you pause for a moment and appreciate the passion and love that was put into it. Our server, Mitchell was wonderful as well. He guided us through the meal and made fantastic suggestions for dinner as well as places to go after dinner. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Louisville!
We typically come to Decca for every special occasion, including our 25th anniversary, as the food is always amazing and we receive very good service. This time our occasion (a 50th birthday celebration) was not even acknowledged, and the service was average. Disappointed.
Love this place... fabulous food, friendly unpretentious service.
One of the best meals we've ever had! The watermelon salad, shrimp entree, pork chop, and shared vegetables (broccoli and beets) were all delicious. Service, as always at Decca, is smart and courteous. We dined inside, but if the temperature is to your liking, the outdoor dining area is fantastic.
Decca is on E. Market St., where there are a lot of fun things to do and see. You can make a day or evening of it by browsing at Joe Ley's Antiques, having coffee and pastries at Please & Thank You, having drinks at Galaxie or Taj, or touring the Copper & Kings brandy distillery in nearby Butchertown. Or all of the above!
The service, ambience, and food was spectacular! It was our first time and will return. We sat outside with two other couples.
Had a wonderful night on the patio. The music is never the same but always enjoyable. The service and food were spot on!
From start to finish our dining experience at Decca was delightful. While the atmosphere is casual, the service is impeccable. I appreciated that our waiter seemed to materialize when we needed something, neither hovering nor absent. The timing of the courses was just right - we never felt rushed and could truly appreciate the food as it was meant to be. The dishes are a wonderful combination of flavors - some unexpected but all delicious - from appetizer to dessert. Love the inventive use of seasonal ingredients.
We called for a reservation for 8, which Decca said they could not accomodate. So we were directed to make two reservations for 4. We were seated at two four-tops next to each other! After ordering, we slide the tow table together. Why were they not able to do that!
Ordered the salmon, received a small portion, in my option, for the amount charged. Tasted good, nothing special. Friends ordered the steak and pork chops and said they were very good.
Service was inattentive and slow. Doubtful I will go back for the food.
Had great entertainment in the basement bar. Will return for that. No issues with the staff or drinks there.
We were speechless. The food was so remarkable. It’s been since I have been in Spain that I have enjoyed cuisine such as I enjoyed at Decca. Our server Michael was wonderful-kind-fun and knowledgeable. Super star. And to think we were on going to come to Decca for Monday night jazz-which was also fabulous.
We sat on the patio, it was a lovely evening. I would recommend to sit outside if the weather is comfortable. It is a beautiful setting. The food was outstanding, wonderful flavors!
Decca did it again. We enjoyed an amazing dinner with our family this past weekend. My husband and I are on a low carb diet and found some options that kept us some what on the program. The bartender made our cocktails without the simple syrup and they still tasted delicious. Our starters were amazing, the flavor combinations that Chef Annie Pettry creates blow me away every time. I cannot say enough about the mussels. The seasonal preparation was so delicious and a perfect starter to our delicious dinner. My family loved every bite and will continue to call Decca our favorite restaurant in Louisville.
Start with drinks downstairs in the Cellar. Romantic and the Cellar's cool dark atmosphere let's the days troubles melt away. Upstairs for dinner a well thought nuvo American cuisine hits a homerun!
Well that should give you an idea of a restaurant you really shouldn't miss.
Best food in Louisville. Dishes were elevated, refined, exquisite. Miss what she can do with wood fire.
The atmosphere and service are impeccable. And the appetizers, fried green tomatoes, and the entrees, pork and the pasta with hazelnuts, were divine. Really amazing. Our guests enjoyed the Devil’s food cake. So an amazing dinner, and our guests from out of town were mightily impressed.
Lovely small menu, extensive drink and spirits menu. Careful non rushed service and a thoughtful staff.
Excellent food and service, expensive but just right for a special occasion. Only drawback is the restaurant can be a little noisy.
Excellent hostess and waitress service. Delicious dessert.
The entire staff at Decca is completely professional and just the right amount of attentive. They are always knowledgeable about the entire menu, and offer meal and wine suggestions in a way that is helpful, never pushy. It is far and away the best restaurant in Louisville.
I believe this was the best Salmon I have ever eaten! Great atmosphere and service. Can’t wait to return. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
My dad and I went for a late Father's Day celebration. The food was amazing. Our server was so nice and not snooty at all. Everything was delicious.
Going away dinner.
The food was absolutely divine, creative, fresh, and delicious. Service was professional and near perfect. We’ll definitely return and recommend.
This was one of the most fabulous fining experiences I’ve had in years. Certainly my best in Louisville. Fantastic food, great service with in-depth knowledge about the menu and drinks etc. And perfect ambience– – a mix of hipness, elegance, and casualness.
Our server was lovely and the food was delicious. Like the seasonal menus and fresh approach to food
We go every year on my birthday and the food and service is always amazing. The restaurant itself has a great outdoor space, charming indoor seating, and fun bar downstairs. I wish I could eat here everyday.
I was in Louisville for a meeting. We wanted to meet some friends and try a new restaurant. Decca is in NuLu. The location is very casual and safe. We ate indoors although there is a outdoor seating. Our waiter was both helpful and available. My wife is a vegan and they both accommodated her and provided a great meal. The remainder of us had shrimp and salmon entreees, both of which were excellent. The appetizers were excellent and we started with salad, tartatre and mussels. The wine list was varied although we chose to drink bourbon. Many great selections on their list.
I would definitely return and recommend Decca.
