Going away dinner.
The food was absolutely divine, creative, fresh, and delicious. Service was professional and near perfect. We’ll definitely return and recommend.
This was one of the most fabulous fining experiences I’ve had in years. Certainly my best in Louisville. Fantastic food, great service with in-depth knowledge about the menu and drinks etc. And perfect ambience– – a mix of hipness, elegance, and casualness.
Our server was lovely and the food was delicious. Like the seasonal menus and fresh approach to food
We go every year on my birthday and the food and service is always amazing. The restaurant itself has a great outdoor space, charming indoor seating, and fun bar downstairs. I wish I could eat here everyday.
I was in Louisville for a meeting. We wanted to meet some friends and try a new restaurant. Decca is in NuLu. The location is very casual and safe. We ate indoors although there is a outdoor seating. Our waiter was both helpful and available. My wife is a vegan and they both accommodated her and provided a great meal. The remainder of us had shrimp and salmon entreees, both of which were excellent. The appetizers were excellent and we started with salad, tartatre and mussels. The wine list was varied although we chose to drink bourbon. Many great selections on their list.
I would definitely return and recommend Decca.
No matter how many new restaurants Louisville gets, Decca remains safely in my top five. It never disappoints. Dinner on the patio tonight was sublime. Thank you, Chris, for your excellent service. Our half-price bottle of wine (a perk on Thursday evenings) was exceptional. We recommend the crispy salmon!
Had a great birthday celebration at Decca from an asparagus appetizer, to a fave bean pasta, and a grilled chicken with roasted potatoes and broccoli. The two of us shared it all. Started with a glass of Cava and finished with a Pinot Noir. Dessert was budino. Delicious! The food was outstanding as was the service.
Overpriced $11.00 glass of Prosecco to start, bland $12.00 butter lettuce salad. Squares of bread were salty. Shrimp entree and side of asparagus were good. Chocolate desert looked beautiful but was also bland. Eating at Decca was a real disappointment, especially considering the very high price.
Decca was, as always, wonderful. From atmosphere to food to service.....seamless.
Love this place!
The cocktails were awesome, food portions a bit small but delicious, service was excellent and price was good.
Great food and service. Weather was perfect for outside dining.
Food was great!
Beautiful patio and ambiance. Great food and drinks also.
Patio dining was lovely. Our delicious starter, the Little Gem Salad, is pictured.
We had a great time at Decca and got to sit out on the patio on a beautiful night. It was great except about half way through a plume of smoke covered the back patio for the remainder of our meal. It was either smoke from the kitchen or a nearby restaurant or neighbor. We tried to not let it dampen our experience but that's the only thing we wish we could have changed.
Creative flavors and foods that were simply delicious! Loved every bite from appetizer to dessert, including cocktails.
Great food and even better service! Overall wonderful experience.
Excellent dinner with friends, great service and food was superb.
The patio outside was beautiful and food was fabulous.
We had the best time. The food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful!
Food very good, but quite small portions for the price range. Atmosphere outside very nice. Service exceedingly slow on a not very busy night with a half-hearted explanation about a problem in the kitchen. No real effort of apology or something extra offered.
Great flavors, freshness, textures. Best meal we had in Louisville. Only disappointed that we were limited to a special Derby prix fixe with limited options - but everything we chose on that menu (which was everything except the beef) was terrific.
Worst restaurant meal I’ve ever eaten. Ever. Yes it was Derby weekend. But the Derby has been happening for 144 years. I think any restaurant should know to plan and staff accordingly. Our food was inedible. Our steaks were completely raw. Our drinks were teeny tiny. And all of it was absurdly overpriced. Given the timing and it being Derby weekend, I’d be totally fine with the price.....if the quality of the food and the quantity of the drinks were at least decent. In addition, it was a fixed price menu was deceiving because it did not include one course that was listed on the menu but our server never mentioned that this course was an additional cost. I’ve never in my life written a review on anything but this experience was just so awful it needed to be documented. Maybe it’s a decent restaurant otherwise but after that meal I highly doubt it.
We had a great dinner on the patio. Food was amazing, and Davy the bartender is great!
I've heard about Decca but had never been. I was impressed with the atmosphere, service, food quality, taste and presentation. It is definitely more of a special occasion restaurant since it was about $50 per person. Well worth it if you are prepared to spend that much on a meal.
Decca is the first place I think of when I want to take friends out for excellent food, service and ambience. I always recommend the mussels and have never been disappointed. Lately the rib eye is my go to. Sides are always spot on and the portions are perfect. A great place to celebrate any event.
Unique ingredient combinations made for a very memorable meal. I went with four customers and was not sure of their tastes or pallets. They ordered three steaks ad one fish dinner. I ordered the appetizers and some vegetables for the table. I also got the Steak. The apps were amazing. I can not recommend the crispy romaine salad enough. Seriously a memorable salad. And the brochette with roast beets instead of tomato was unique, flavorful, and had a series of unique flavors that pleased the whole table and was talked about at breakfast the next day. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and paired with toasted onions and other accoutrements that brought a huge rib-eye to life more than expected. If you are looking to have a memorable meal, try Decca.
It is a nice Place. Service was excellent. Wine selection was very expensive. We ordered by the glass.
We absolutely loved Decca! We sat outside for dinner which was so nice since we are from San Francisco and that doesn't happen much here. All the items we ordered were beautifully prepared and presented. I am in the love with the wood roasted broccoli! Nice wine list and the service was lovely.
This is my favorite Louisville spot! I drive from Indianapolis to dine here!
Decca never disappoints. Food is always amazing and the service is one of the best in Louisville. It’s definitely a must go place no matter the occasion.
The drinks were great and the Roma Crunch salad was amazing! It was probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had! I also ordered the shrimp with charred cauliflower which was just ok. The presentation was nice but the chorizo was over cooked and the cauliflower had more of a burnt than charred flavor that over powered the dish. The service was average and had to flag down my server to order another beverage after sitting for 10 minutes with an empty drink. I’ll definitely give it another try, as this was only my second time at Decca and the first time dining there was fantastic.
Decca has wonderfully innovative dishes, well crafted cocktails and superb service. From starters to dessert, everything was fabulous.
I expect my kind to be blown by the food I eat if I pay $114 for dinner for two. It was just ok. Won’t be back.
Bar service downstairs was not up the level set but every other aspect of the restaurant - presumptuous and slightly passive aggressive. Might be fine for a nightspot, but not a fine dining establishment.
Wonderful service and food. I will definitely be back
Fantastic meal. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. We shared a starter, a middle, and a main. We had the mussels (obviously) and wow, so good. Then we had the cavatelli with rabbit. Again, yum. Finally we tried the crispy Texas redfish. Everything was so well prepared and very unique. We had coffee and the chocolate cake for dessert. Yum yum yum! Wish we could go again. We also got a bottle of wine, and our bill was super reasonable. Thanks, Decca, for a lovely date.
