Death & Co - Denver
Death & Co Denver will no longer be accepting reservations except for weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am - 2:30pm. We will still maintain a first-come, first-serve standard of service.
Suite 6A will re-open on Thursday, November 21st, featuring a new, more casual non-reservation style of service.
Excellent spot for a weekend brunch or special occasion!
Good brunch and amazing atmosphere. It’s a new building built to have an old feel vibe - loved it.
Cozy place for Sunday breakfast. Very good food and wonderful, attentive service! We will be back soon to try dinner!
The service was excellent and the ambiance is very inviting. I wish there were more menu options for breakfast/brunch but the food was tasty and well-presented. I do recommend this restaurant. I was there at about 9am, so it was quiet at that hour. Cool neighborhood and decent parking options.
Food was well prepared. The wait staff was kind and friendly.
We had the worst service. We were running late for a reservation, and explained that we were fine with waiting until a table opened. We met our friends at the bar, and the bartender didn't even acknowledge that we were there, nor ask if we wanted anything. We ended up having to go back to the host to remind him that we hadn't been seated. The waitress forgot one of our drinks. We reminded her of it, and it still took 15 more minutes to get it when it's a tap drink. They were out of one of the dishes that we ordered and the waitress recommended a different dish, which would have been fine, but she never brought it. Overall, they don't seem to really want to wait on their guests.
Thank you for your note and I am so very sorry you had such a poor experience with us. We take great pride in trying to provide the best possible experience for all of our guests and while we often succeed we also sometimes do not and for that we apologize. I assure you this is not the way all of our guest's visits go and I hope that you will give us a chance to prove it to you in the future. Again, thank you for you note, without critique we can not improve. - Sincerely, Willie Rosenthal GM
we had a reservation for 8, which we cut to 5. after waiting maybe 10-12 minutes for anyone to come to our table (the waiter in the area totally ignored us the entire length of our visit, while he attended to the tables all around us, but never us) i walked up to the host (who was also doing some wait service) and let me him know we'd like to put in our orders. He took drink and food orders shortly thereafter. And then we waited more. It was about 30min before we had our first drink. Or had our waters refilled. Then the host came back and apologized, but needed to take our food orders again, because he didn't write them down the first time. maybe 15 minutes later, kitchen staff came out, placed a food item (zucchini toast) down on the table that we did not order, told us it would be taken off the bill (it was never supposed to be on it) and walked away before we could say anything. we didn't touch it, and it sat for a while before we could flag down anyone to let them know of their error.
I believe it took nearly an hour for any food to start showing up, and it came out piecemeal. it was fine. We assumed some things would be comped for our trouble (like that first round of drinks). they took maybe $12 of food off a $170 bill. But they sure billed us for the zucchini toast we didn't order!
they knew we were coming, so unsure why they then chose to ignore us once we arrived. understaffed? on a busy holiday weekend? worst dining experience we've ever had in the city, having visited this same weekend for the past 9 years.
Our server was great, but she was very busy taking care of the whole lobby area.
Outstanding service, ambiance, and food! Will return.
Drinks were amazing & bartenders were awesome. Favorite spot to go to.
Amazing place. Super cool space and the food was more than wonderful.
We came here for brunch specifically because they take reservations through Open Table. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was quite good. Several folks had the huevos rancheros and I had the lobster benedict. Service was attentive and the fresh OJ was yummy. For the price, the food was pretty good but not outstanding. The masa cakes under the benedict were pretty tough (although I was happy with how much lobster I got!)
Their weekend promo of 50% bottles
Of champagne and wine is a great deal! $80 bottle of champs for $40 - no brainer. Their breakfast potatoes are amazing as is their grilled cheese (be sure to add bacon). Gorgeous ambiance and quiet so you can easily catch up with your friends. Great setting for some picture taking to capture the memories!
Only con - the AC was blasting which made it a little chilly
The most relaxing brunch I think I’ve ever had. Minimal noise, no wait for our table, and the servers were attentive but not over baring. The food was beautiful and delicious.
Our experience at Death and Co was fantastic. I highly recommend the polenta toast with roasted beats.
This place was super cool/trendy. Amazing Lobster Benedict and cocktails. I would definitely go back!
Spectacular cocktails. Enticing and innovative!
Our server, Reggie was tremendous. Not only was he knowageable on all menu items (especially drinks), but sincerely accomadating to sensitive cold temperatured ladies. Thank you for turning off the blowing air!!!
We had the best lil' booth party.
The lobby of this hotel and eatery is amazing. We sat at a cute 2 top near the window. There are a lot of couches and comfy chairs which make this a great spot for a date or for a large group of friends. The food was excellent and the service was superb. You can take your food and drink up to the open outdoor patio, too.
Delicious food. Amazing ambiance. Best mixed drinks in town. Go there.
Such a cool and exotic place. A new favorite added to our list. I also love how your servers are knowledgeable and not just present.
This place was amazing! Delicious food and cocktails and quiet enough that we could all catch up.
Excellent for a fancy pre-Derby cocktail and brunch!!
Great setting, very slow service and the food was so so
Great service & delicious food!
Great food, casual electic atmosphere, close to Rink.
Staff was great. Beautiful room!
Limited menu but all was amazing: we could not decide so we ordering 3 of the 4 brunch items.
We loved our experience at the 6A cocktail bar. Sam was incredible at finding the perfect drink based on which flavors we were wanting. The music was fun but not too loud and the ambiance was romantic and classy.
Service was terrible. Nice guy but didn't bring things we ordered, completely forgot the table after our food came, let dirty dishes sit in front of us for 1/2 an hour.
Keep an eye out for the “RAMBLE” sign—it’s much more prominent than the “Death & Co.” plaque. Retro yet sophisticated atmosphere, impressive spirit collection, beautiful cortados, delicious brunch, & creative & well-executed cocktails.
A dark room lit by crystal chandeliers filled with intimate corners with luxurious chairs and booths add up for a wow moment for a date night. All of the cocktails I tried were amazing - inventive but balanced, some thing I would come back for. On top of the drinks the amount of effort that was put into making quality food safe for a celiac was above and beyond.
Our server was very attentive to our needs. The food and drinks were amazingly paired. Overall the dinner was beyond what we expected.
Valentine’s Day at death and come was phenomenal, I’m addition to having an awesome server, Max. Will return for future special occasions.
The smoky mezcal was unlike any drink I have ever had and it felt like there were three distinctly different waves of flavor. The food was amazing and we went for the V-day Pre-fixe menu and I would recommend it to all. True drink-crafting mastery and a cozy atmosphere.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the food. Everything else was on par for a $250 dinner.
Great Valentines Day experience! Food and drink pairings were great, service was great. Tables a bit too close for intimate conversation (think French cafe without the smoke). Our first seating was on a couch directly across from another couple (lovely people but strangely awkward), we asked for a table and were accommodated with ease. Thank you Death & Co. for a wonderful Valentines dinner with my hubby of almost 30 years!
The Death & Co team is incredibly thoughtful when celebrating a special occasion or any other time! They were more than accommodating for our group and even brought over complimentary champagne and had a congratulatory note on the table when we all arrived to celebrate my friend’s engagement.
This place seems more like a stand alone restaurant than a hotel lobby from the pictures but the service makes you forget you're anywhere but your own private booth. The food is also exceptional. They the coffee cocktail with coconut milk.
Cool location and great brunch with 6 of us getting the lobster Benedict. The cocktails can take a while..
