   The view was gorgeous. Definitely appreciated the front staff member acknowledging and honoring our efforts in taking the time to make reservations and chose sit us by the glass wall with a view. Service: The server lacked customer service skills across the board. He hyper focused on selling us an alcoholic beverage, and failed to bring out the basics. We had to ask him for everything, including silverware, napkins, water, water refills. He took forever for everything and never apologized. Food & beverages: The catfish appetizer was delicious and tender, even with the breading. Everything else was disheartening... The calamari appetizer was thinly sliced and fried to the point of being rubbery and tough. The alcoholic beverage tasted like watery soda all the way to the bottom. We questioned ordering food, so started with crab stuffed snapper...the white rice and vegetables had zero seasoning, it almost came off as if they were served straight out of water. The vegetables were not well prepared, the carrots were stringy. The crab was okay, the best thing on the plate. Nonetheless, the crab and snapper were too salty. We moved on to try a dessert and that took a long time to be served...too long considering it was served cold without any attention to presentation. The combination of the waiter's lack of quality customer service, the disheartening caliber of food preparation, and the length of time everything took...made this a 1-star experience. Luckily, we make the best of everything. We enjoyed the view and one of the appetizers, and our focus was the company at the table. I hope this feedback assists in making necessary adjustments and providing much needed coaching to the server. Best regards.

   First time going and I fell in love! I love being vale to sit outside and look at the lake while I enjoyed my food. I got the salmon salad and it was perfect! It got a little noises when a lot of people were also seated outside but that’s to be expected. I would go every week end if I could. My husband and I love this place for a date night. It’s become one of my favorite places to go. 9/10 review. Only thing I would change is how loud it can get with the people outside and our table was wobbling pretty good. One of the waitresses wasn’t very friendly but the other two we saw were super nice!

   I ordered the fried chicken and it came out and wasn’t the quality I expected. I let my server Constantino know and he insisted on making it right. I hate complaining, but, it was either underdone or it was an old piece of chicken. The second piece was perfect. I appreciate Constantino, his service was amazing.

   We dined on the patio for brunch. The food was good and service was friendly. We had the breakfast skillet, fried catfish plate and shrimp and grits. It’s one of our favorite places to dine.

   The food was great. Our server made sure we had what we needed, but was not overly attentive. We sat on the patio and it would have been fantastic except for the incredibly loud music from the bar DJ. We drove an hour for a date night and it would have been nice to have a conversation over dinner. All in all, not a terrible experience. Next time we probably sit inside as you have a lake view either way. The catfish was phenomenal.

    My experience started out very bad the table my wife and I were sat at was wobbly and the people at the bar kept knocking into my wife I was on the phone looking for somewhere else who have dinner when our waiter Brad walk up we explained what the deal was he moved us to a different table Brad went above and beyond to make sure the rest of are dining experience was awesome and it was awesome thank you Brad we will definitely come back again

    It was good had the calamari and the lemon pepper was clumped on there. That’s all you could taste. Other foods needed salt to enhance the flavor. But it was good overall

    Server was at the top of his game. Cajun pasta, however, was mainly oil at the bottom of the dish and no cajun cream sauce. Kitchen goof, we figure, an error in judgement. We'll be back, though.

    Mothers Day dinner. Slow service. Had 2 appetizers, 1 came out on time the other about 20 mins later. Had to refill our own water glasses from bar. Food came out about 20 mins after that - lukewarm. Ordered chicken fried chicken and got chicken fried steak with cold veggies. Mahi was rubber - cold veggies. Cajun pasta tasteless and watered down with one 3” piece of hard bread. No one finished their food. The couple next to us had the wrong food also, and waited about 30 mins for wrong drinks. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. The only positive thing which the restaurant had nothing to do with was the sunset. Awful food and service. Obviously we will never go back.

    Describing the noise level as 'energetic' is putting is nicely. There was a large party 5 tables over and we could barely hear each other's conversation at our own table. It wasn't until our meal was nearly over that they all left and THEN it was more pleasant for EVERYONE in that area. They were drawing attention not just from us but from other tables as well. Even our waiter noticed.

    This was our first time that my wife and I have eaten here and we were very pleased with the overall service and food. It was a little too noisy for us but we adjusted and had a wonderful Anniversary dinner. We definitely will be eating here again.

    I was there with guests from Colorado. They left with an extremely poor opinion of Dead Fish Grill. There was a private graduation party of numerous people next to us that were so loud we couldn't talk or enjoy the food and the view. I don't object to the party or people having a good time but they should have been accommodated some other place in the restaurant so the rest of us could enjoy our visit there.

    I hadn’t been to Dead fish in about 4 years, in my opinion it was a moderate restaurant with a great view of Belton lake. After this most recent visit - the great staff, really good food, & the atmosphere - Dead fish has completely changed my mind. Definitely worth the bill!     I believe this was my second time there but it had been years. Ambiance is the main reason it's a good restaurant for date night. I placed a reservation ahead of time through Open Table and was able to secure a table right near the window overlooking the water. Server was training a new employee, so was a bit nervous. Service was fine, although he did seem to hover a bit much when we were trying to have a conversation. Food was tasty, only negative was the up-charge on hamburgers was $6 per extra patty, which is a bit much. Food was cooked to order, good flavor. This is one of the better restaurants in the Temple/Belton/Killeen area, and good volume level. Would come back.

    Great view of Belton Lake! We sat at a table near a big window. Lovely atmosphere. Service was a little slow. However, our reservation was well worth it on a busy Easter Sunday. All of our entrees were superb.
