   Our server was terrific the food was outstanding. The only thing that was bad was the noise. We were sat with large groups of people because we were a large group but we couldn’t hear our own conversations sitting next to each other. I think it’s the design of the room because the rest of the building was fine

   A/C and fans were broken so they had to use industrial box fans which were loud. We were screaming at each other just to have a conversation. Limited menu, as they were either out of items or the waiter would make a face that would tell me NOT to order it.

   We've tried Dead Fish several times. We like to take family for the view more than anything. Unfortunately, and the food and service have been inconsistent. While the food is good quality, it is often under-seasoned and frequently comes out at the wrong temperature (cold food is warm, hot food is also warm). Last night was no exception. The ice in the shrimp cocktail glasses was melted when it arrived at the table. Salads were room temperature. Entrees were bland and warm at best. Vegetable side dish was literally frozen veggies, and they were waterlogged. Servers are over-seated and can't possibly provide timely service, however they are typically pleasant and professional. I will say, the view is second to none, and the cocktails are pretty good. Next time we have guests in town, we'll go for a few drinks and to watch the sunset over the lake, then head somewhere else for dinner.

   Well I said 3 months ago I would never go back and we did for Father's Day! Things haven't changed. Owners added on a 3% charge on every bill if you pay with credit or debit and they don't tell you up front. Very misleading! And, you still have to ask for silverware and napkins 3 times per visit because the stingy owners won't purchase enough silverware. The staff is working their butts off and the owners are making a killing while running off their customers. Wake up owners! Enough of this crap! Today is Father's Day at 6:00 pm and this place was empty. Parking spaces up front. We knew something was wrong when we pulled up! Families all around us having the same issues. Horrible Management!! Get with it or shut it down!

   They had plenty of waitstaff, but our waiter just had trouble. I think he got the order wrong for every table around us because he kept running away in the middle of us letting him know what we need. We both ordered the fried shrimp plate. The first time he brought out just fried catfish. We told him we ordered the shrimp plate but he ran way before he could hear us. The second time he brought out catfish and shrimp and asked if we could just eat that because he didn’t feel like telling the kitchen he got it wrong again. I don’t eat catfish, but we had little confidence a 3rd attempt would be any better so we just took what we got.

   We had an inside reservation and they tried to seat outside. We ordered sweet tea and they brought us unsweetened, had to go hunt down sugar packs and straws. Winded up sending the tea back to replace with sweetened. The food was okay and the amount of noise in the place was over the top. Couldn’t have a conversation at all.

   Problem with Open Table reservation being honored but sorted with some firm insistence on seating preference. Finally seated by window for beautiful view of Lake Belton. Excellent service (thanks Cody) and food was great: Appetizers - surf & turf poppers, calamari (they were out of ceviche). Main course - scallops and stuffed snapper. Everything very good. Complimentary birthday dessert was fantastic - chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate syrup. Recommend to anyone for casual or special dinner.

   We always enjoy the food and location, however, there seems to be continued challenges when it comes to service and wait staff. When we need to repeatedly ask for simple things like plates when you order appetizers, and then flatware to eat and refills on water it becomes a bit concerning. By the time we got the plates the appetizers were gone as everyone used napkins for plates, napkins that we picked up from the area housing dirty dishes from cleared tables. We were giving one another water from our glasses waiting on refills for water. The wait staff is always pleasant ….maybe it’s a training issue but it gives me pause when we come here at least once a month as a family. I hope they’re able to address this soon…..if it matters that is. They’re still crowded always so maybe not.

    We made reservations at 5:30 pm on a Friday night to be seated by a window. It was an excellent view. Our waitress was Brittney. She had a great personality, making sure our food tasted good and keeping our tea glasses full. I had the Mahi Mahi which was tender and spiced just right. My guest had the flounder which was tender also. We recommend this place but make reservations if you want special seating.
