Simply amazing! Our second time to dine here and even better! Freshest ingredients, very inventive regional dishes from Mexico. Great service with chef’s attention. Highly recommend the tasting menu. Fabulous! We ordered the dinner-for-two option that includes everything on the menu - an amazing value for a dazzling array of beautifully prepared dishes featuring seasonal ingredients. The adjacent bar has a great vibe and the bar manager made us a delicious and inventive custom cocktail on the spot, based on what we were in the mood for.

We did the tasting menu and it was outstanding in terms of value/portions, the food itself was outstanding and it shows why the restaurant has received the accolades it has. The wine and cocktails were superb, and had a lot of variety available. 10/10 date night spot.

After having a cocktail in the attached bar, we were seated in the restaurant and attempted to order another cocktail. The restaurant and the bar are attached and share the same kitchen. The cocktails we ordered were apparently only on the bar menu and not the restaurant menu. We were told we would have to go back over to the bar to pay for our drinks, they could not simply add it to our dinner tab. The server was not helpful. We ended up leaving the restaurant and had dinner in the bar.

Had a great business dinner at De Noche earlier this week. They were able to customize the tasting menu for one of the vegetarian guests. The food was excellent. They had a great wine recommendation. And the service was excellent.

Overall, the food and service were excellent. The number of chips (4) with the appetizer was inadequate even though they were large. The salsa(s) were excellent. Some menu items were in Spanish which made choosing more difficult. Would have appreciated having a menu with prices available online. I almost cancelled our reservation as this was not available at the time.

The four of us--two generations--had a wonderful meal at De Noche. We ordered the tasting menu and loved all the dishes we were served. We especially recommend the birria tacos for richness and the light, refreshing agua chile. Unexpected flavor combinations were delightful. Our servers were kind & helpful. Presentations were beautiful, and everything was delicious. Can't recommend this place enough.

An absolutely exquisite night out. The food and drinks are, without question, some of the best in Portland. The entire experience is just extraordinary. I can't say enough good things. It's a wonderful date night spot or place for an upscale celebration.

Food was delicious, service was exceptional. The only downside was the outdoor dining experience for the folks outside who were subjected to the disruptive activities of the people drinking and fighting on the park blocks.

I travel with my job So, I am always eating at restaurants. And I have eaten at restaurants all over the US. And some of the best. Every now and then, you realize you are not just eating food. You are in the hands of an artist. That is De Noche. I have eaten there now on multiple occasions. Every time, the service is exceptional and the food is impeccable. First class.

We ordered the full menu for two. The food was amazing! Every bite was more delicious than the last. The chef and staff took the time to explain each dish which added to our enjoyment. We were very full when the dessert arrived. The drinks were very tasty. We will absolutely come back.

Excellent upscale Mexican restaurant. They have a very interesting menu - some eight plates (más o menos) of different dishes, each designed for two people, that can be purchased as a group for the full tasting menu or individually if you want to eat less. As we had overeaten the previous night, we took it easy here and skipped a couple items. As is the norm in upscale restaurants, De Noche had a good selection of custom drinks that we worked through as we nibbled the delicious food. Because the menu changes frequently and the website doesn't keep up with the changing menu, this is from my imperfect memory: First up, tostadas made with raw (maybe "cooked" in lime?) albacore, with micro-greens and a bright tangy sauce. Next, pibil tacos that were awesome. Taquitos, one of pork and one made of potato. Mole de la dia, which was spicy hot version, almost like chile colorado. The mole bathed a piece of pork that was falling apart tender and had its own sweet flavor. This came with hand made tortillas fresh off the grill. Outstanding. We finished the meal with flan that had corn masa embedded within it. It made the flan slightly richer and with a sweet corn taste. Again, great. Our servers were warm and friendly, and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. The price for everything was reasonable for this quality of food and service. We both recommend De Noche highly and will return again ourselves.

I’ve worked in restaurants a long time and have never seen a place fall apart so hard under so little pressure. Took three hours to feed four people. Food was good, but wow. Every fried tortilla, including the chips, was burned and rock hard. I’d talked the place up to out of town guests and was embarrassed.
