Great location and very innovative delicious dishes. Service was quick
I've been to the restaurant before and had a lovely experience. The club DJ on Saturday night did NOT improve the atmosphere! It was so loud, it was impossible to speak to even the person sitting next to you, the flashing lights were overkill, and it made the meal very unpleasant. If we had had a smaller, more mobile party, we would have left and eaten elsewhere. At one point the DJ equipment fell over and the music stopped and it was such a relief! I could see other diners struggling to talk to people at their table, as well. We recommended De La Vega to our international guests and we were very sorry we did!
Our waitress was super nice! The music was amazing and the food was so delicious. For sure we will be returning!
Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants! Love sitting outside overlooking the park or casually at the bar. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Service, food and drinks are all wonderful! LOVE!
Second visa and we loved it. Wrote a review on TripAdvisor.
Our large group grew larger before check-in and the host staff was super! We were accommodated and made to feel welcome. The server Isis, was GREAT! The samples, the music, and the company made for a fun Friday night!
Food and ambiance was great!
Excellent feed and service
excellent place... fantastic people food and drinks
Eat on the outside deck. Great ambience and loved the Latin guitar music. Avocado salmon dish was delicious.
We have been to this restaurant about five times and as usual the food was very good. However this time the music was so loud we could not carry on a conversation with each other. Friday nights we like to go out after a long week and have a nice dinner and talk. If they Turn down the music I will return
The service was pretty bad, screwed up our order, slow delivery, wrong bill. Very expensive for what you get. It’s a mediocre restaurant that facades itself as classy. The food was alright the tortilla soup was pretty bad, chips and guacamole $7!!! The entree was good enough but again small portion large price tag.
Place was tastefully decorated. Bar was quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed the open dining area to the outside. Our food was excellent, with a menu offering a variety from simple to adventurous. This could easily become a local favorite for my family.
Our first time and we're pretty impressed. Ordered a Frida and Cuban Mule, both excellent. The Chicken Mole Rice Balls and Cheese Empanadas along with the tortilla and plantain soup we're filling and delicious. Their flan and hibiscus chocolate tart are a great way to end the meal along with their cortaditos. The restaurant is very pretty, a great view of the park, and fun music. The staff is warm and friendly. Will be coming more often.
Great food - terrible service . Would go back again, but make sure we have a different waiter.
This is my go to place when I want to take my spouse to a nice Spanish dinner. Tapas and drinks are amazing at this place. Sometimes they have live performers, specially on the weekends. I didn’t give it a five star because there were some aspects in the service that I have some constructive feedback on it. For example, I ordered steak, but they didn’t bring me a steak knife. Also I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done and dry. I told a server about it, the server which was not who was taking care of us, took the plate to the back and didn’t apologize or anything. She took the plate to the back without telling me what was going to happen next, no expectations whatsoever. When my server came to the table she didn’t know that I had sent my steak back. She didn’t apologize, but she brought a new steak to the table. No one from the management team came to the table to talk to us. We paid and we sat down to listen the the flamenco singer that was performing that night. She was excellent. I’m not tryin mg to get anything free, I just like good service when it comes to my dining experiences.
We went for the special valentines night dinner, overall it was great. They have a few kinks to work out with the service: once we were seated it took 30 minutes to get service, and another 30 minutes for our drinks which was a bummer because they had another seating scheduled within 2hrs. . We were each served an appetizer that was so large we could have just shared one. The price was surprisingly cheap per couple considering it was valentines. The live entertainment was wonderful. It was our first time here and we will be back
This was a special Valentines event at the restaurant, they had a really low start with the service and people were complaining since they had been waiting for 10 mins w/o service. The manager/owner got a handle on the situation by apologizing to patrons and requesting a couple of minutes for their staff to get the hang of it, well done!! Service did improve and once things started going everything was great. Great food, lovely romantic music and good ambiance!
Outstanding Service even with a large Valentine crowd. Live spanish guitar jazz music and good wine made the night very enjoyable. The menu choices were perfect and exquisite.
We always like the atmosphere here and food is great. This was the first time to do a pre-arranged menu/event for valentines day but was great as always.
The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed. The “holiday” menu was terrible with subpar alternatives. We got the chicken, which was dried out and tough to cut with the knife they offered. The drinks and the flan were tasty. They also took a “complementary “ photo of us, which was not offered to us. It was for their website. Not worth the $100 tab.
Went for Valntine's Day that was offered. They exceeded expectations.
My boyfriend and I went to De La Vega for their Valentine’s Day event. It was lovely. The food was great, the portions were satisfying collectively. The way they staggered the courses was done well. The wine was good. The owner was active as a host for the night and was hospitable. There was live music for the night and it really brought the ambience of the night together. It was a little bit chilly that night and they sat us outside, but luckily my boyfriend had his sweater for me to use so we enjoyed our date night. We would definitely come back again. I hope they do more events. This was their first and the effort really showed- great job!
Loved the waitress. She made our date night perfect.
We loved the Deland restaurant and traveled the just to eat. So happy this restuarant is closer and in a new building allows for a more modern ambiance. The food though is just as excellent and meals seem to be prepared a bit quicker. Servers seem well trained and knowledgeable. We use the vegan menu incorporated within the menu, which is a nice touch, they don't have to provide a separate menu. The food is so nicely seasoned via the sauces used. We plan to go often.
Great HH! Super helpful staff!
The Happy Hour menu is great to start! I had the Chicken Green Gazpacho....very flavorful and perfect portion. The service on the patio was great! Fun location to look over OOTP.
The buffet had been changed with the food choices since we initially dined @ your restaurant. The salad featured was great, but the rest of the items were so-so. Also, the food choices to order from the food menu for the buffet were reduced in number/choices. We liked our first buffet experience @ your restaurant better. Otherwise, everything else was great. Our waitress was wonderful, professional, & pleasant. Her job was well done!!
My favorite are the hibiscus tacos. Delicious and unique. Have been here twice and will come again. Tapas are large. Nice selection of mixed drinks. It was a sat night and they had live music. This is my favorite restaurant in Oviedo.
Great Anniversary dinner! We had a wonderful time!
Loved the Deland restaurant and so glad they decided to open a second restaurant closer to where we live. The same menu and the food quality just as good. Easy to get to and in a great upscale planned community. We are in this area often and will be able to go more often. The food is always fresh and flavorful, just the right balance of spices.
The food was delicious and the service was great! Some items were a bit price but go before 7pm for the $7 menu.
Good food, delicious margarita! fantastic music and good service.
Enjoyed this hidden treasure in Oviedo. We will be back soon
Amazing food, service and value.
I had the opportunity to experience the restaurant because my friend was celebrating her birthday. We loved the ambiance, music, and service. Even though, we were expecting a live performance just like the advertisement on Facebook because we went on a Friday night. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that some of the food we order was cold, one of the orders came out late, the food was too expensive for the amount on the plate...... As for us not worth going for dinner. We enjoyed our drinks even though we weren’t to excited to see that our water bottle still had paper attached ( looked cheap) for a restaurant that looks fancy that shouldn’t be expected. Make sure all the bottles are clean and paper scraped off.
Excellent waitress - very attentive😀.
I see myself returning just for drinks and appetizers. The plantain soup and the plantain with ropa vieja, excellent!
Similar to its twin (De La Vega Restaurante and Galleria) in DeLand, De La Vega Rum Tapas Tequila is well worth the drive and every visit you make to enjoy everything it has to offer. We shared the Parrila Argentina. Excellent choice!
Amazing music on Fridays with Rumba Brothers. Food is fantastic as well and owner Mano is always there
The original De La Vega (in De Land, FL) is so great we hired them to cater our wedding 4 years ago, and now that we live in Oviedo, we are THRILLED De La Vega built an additional location here! EVERYTHING is FANTASTIC and when you eat there, you’ll understand why I wrote what I did in capital lettters.
Awesome vegan food! Excellent rum&tequila - nice tables, very attentive service and a great Ambiente.
