    We had mother's day brunch with a party of 7. The entire staff worked with us and our requests with issues. The chef also sent out fresh cookies to our table to celebrate the day. GREAT TIME and PRICE!!!!

    Food was average but it could be because there was a large wedding and they might have had most of their crew working at the scene. Service could have improved. The waitress wasn't very attentive but seemed fake and looked she was ready to go home. I think it was an off night.

    I read the reviews and decided to give it a go anyway as it seemed like most of the bad reviews were pandemic related. Was I ever wrong. We arrived and were seated and eventually our orders were taken and we received our drinks. Several tables began being served before us even though they arrived after. The food looked beautiful and delicious... however I cannot confirm. Because after AN HOUR of waiting and absolutely every other table being served no matter if they arrive 30min after us and ordered the same thing - we decided to leave and try our luck elsewhere. One of our waitresses was incredibly rude about the whole thing - we are not picky or rude people and we would have been fine and patient, although a little disappointed to have to wait so long, if the waitstaff had just been apologetic - even if they lied as to the reason. Just throw us a bone ladies! But to wait over an hour for food and then be treated like crap was the last straw. Was it because we were locals? Hugely disappointed. And we were celebrating my mother's 72nd birthday. Skip the possibility of defeat and go to Gutiz instead! BTW, the gentlemen at Valet were so welcoming, kind, and sweet. Grounds are beautiful.

    We are staying at the resort and wanted to eat here. Was very good. Service was excellent, and we had the hamburger and cheese dip. Everything was really good.

    Wonderful service from Valerie and Greg. The lobster Benedict continues to be a fav as well as the pinyon pancakes. The sausage at breakfast is an old fashion thick link that is not to be missed. A few more brunch options (sandwiches) are needed however. Easter menu not yet known.

    Our whole experience was fantastic. We had the mushroom soup and a wedge salad to start followed with the skillet tenderloin and the trout. The tenderloin dish with sides was perfectly prepared. The trout was also perfect, there were a lot of complex flavors on the trout dish plate, maybe a bit too many but still very good. We finished with the s'more desert. Definitely the way to go! It was a Tuesday evening and not to busy. Service was fantastic. Not just in the restaurant but also the bar and other staff seemed genuinely pleased to serve us. Will definitely go again!

    Had a fabulous dinner and great service two nights ago. Tonight, not so much. We enjoyed the kale Cesar salad so much so that we ordered it again tonight, and aside from the dressing, it was a completely different salad; spring mix versus kale. The spring mix wilted under the weight of the hearty dressing and there was minimal if any “kale” in the salad at all. The server asked how it was, and I let her know that it was disappointing based on our dining experience from just two days ago. Truly, if you don’t want honest feedback, don’t ask. And don’t pretend to “talk to the chef” or inspect the salad mix personally. Kale is kale. Spring mix is spring mix. Spinach is spinach. And they are all drastically different. And manners are manners. To sit there and argue with a patron reflects poorly on yourself and your establishment. Clearly, neither you, the chef, nor management care enough to be honest and own the situation. If the kitchen is out of kale, just apologize and offer an alternative rather than serve something that is inferior and nothing like what is listed on the menu and then proceeded to dismiss honest feedback. You don’t have to love every patron, but you should take enough pride in yourself and your establishment to professionally and maturely handle criticism. Escalating vs. deescalating. Figure it out. It’s not that difficult. And it will serve you well in the future.

    We read about the chef and we’re so excited to have brunch. The service from when we walked in was less than desired. We realize that staff shortage is an issue so that was not it. The Bellini delivered with Schnapps as a substitute for peach purée was unacceptable and sent back. The food was delivered on the cold/warm side. Just had higher expectations but think the chef has a great eye for what works. Just need the team to make it great.

    Wonderful staff. We actually missed our reservation bc of my poor planning but called to let them know and they kept the kitchen open a little late to allow us to order once we finally made it back to the hotel. Wonderful team, food and ambience. 100% recommend.

    Our wait person was wonderful and it was a charming atmosphere but dated back to the 80's. The food reflected classics from that time period as well. Nicely prepared but far to large in portions. A lot of wasted potatoes! Dessert was lovely, and I repeat, the service was great.

    Not worth the expense, I am sorry to say. Food was delivered excellent but overpriced and the ambience was poor, service mediocre, and it was extremely stuffy in the restaurant.

    The service was awful. Waited 40 minutes to get a drink. Waited another 45 for our dinners. Most of the food was good, steak frites were very salty. Wouldn’t return.

    Setting, ambiance, and service were very good. Unfortunately, the food was uneven. Two dishes were good, but a third was poor. Our server offered to take it off the check without prompting, which was a very generous offer. I hope they can develop a more robust and solid menu to go along with the rest of the experience.

    The servers, especially Wendy, were very good, and this review is not reflective of their effort - they deserve raises for how attentive they were. The issue we took with our dinner was that this was billed as fine dining and the quality of ingredients didn't match. I ordered the filet and at $50+, I expect the filet to be of a decent quality. The beef itself was not flavorful and had a bit of gristle; it was cooked to a good medium rare as ordered (so that was also not the issue), but it was not tender at all - I've never had chewy filet before, it was disappointing. We felt very unsatisfied with what we paid vs what was received.

    Made a reservation for Father’s Day brunch. Nice courtyard atmosphere, greeted by friendly hostess and seated quickly. Wait staff was slow to arrive, and it took a long time to get our drinks from the bar. We shared a breakfast burrito which was huge & delicious, and also shared a side of fruit. When server brought the food to the table, a few strawberries fell out of the fruit bowl and onto the floor. Server didn’t replace them for us, and nobody cleaned them up… they were still on the floor when we left. Overall, friendly but kind of slow service. Great atmosphere & good food.

    The honey-chipotle grilled shrimp starter is one of the most beautifully and deliciously composed dishes I have had in a long time. The baked goat cheese and prosciutto with jam and nuts on crostini is a perfect combination of flavors and textures. We appreciated the suggestions from our lovely waitress Wendy and enjoyed meeting Cristina Martinez, a truly talented young chef. Can't wait to return!

    The prices charged are not proportional to the service and quality. First, they need to close the musty greenroom patio dining and serve guests in their formal dining room. Second, when I opened up my silverware from the rolled napkin, my fork was dirty. Then we were asked to save our forks after we ate our salads in order to re-use for our entrees. Our food was good, but nothing to write about. Our water was slow to be refilled. We spent close to $200 for a burger, 2 salads and a trout entree with a couple of drinks. Don’t expect free refills on sodas. We were charged $4 twice for flat Diet Coke. For the prices paid, one would expect a four-star experience. Instead it was poor ambiance with poor service. We will not be going back.

    Huge delays out of the kitchen for both appetizers and entree. It took 2 hours to complete dinner. During long wait for the appetizer I asked for some bread. Later found out we were charged $4 for two store bought rolls. Entrees finally served and my rice was undercooked (raw). I asked for new rice. It never came. I asked for to speak to the manager, and she had attitude. After I asked if undercooked rice was acceptable, she replied, “what do you want, some type of discount?” When the check was brought, it included a 35% surcharge. I asked the waiter what that was, and he said they accidentally added a charge instead of applying a discount. If you want a 4 star dining experience, go to Lambert’s - which is were I went the following day, and skip this place. Nice resort, but terribly managed restaurant.

    This place is awful. Service was fine by the food and ambience was terrible. The steak frite was a small portion and covered in fries. all around bad meal. Plus the place smelled of mold and was dreary. I don’t recommend.

    We read in previous reviews the waitstaff and service was substandard. Our most recent experience was quite the opposite. The friendly hostess seated us promptly. The service was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. We were quite pleased with the quality of the food and our dining experience as a whole. We will return to the restaurant in particular the next time we are in Taos.
