We come here over and over the years as a 'regular' place for breakfast - a treat for us to get out! The wait staff is intelligent, witty and easy to talk to, even in very popular rushed weekends. We often engage our servers in our conversations, wanting their opinion on topics on offer . . . they always oblige in a meaningful way, adding to the conversation and thus enhancing our dining experience.

Went to claim our Birthday present with 2 friends. Due to the flood they were short staffed which was understandable. When we first sat down near the kitchen there was a lot of banging noise from the kitchen, so we had to move, but the noise probably was worse because the place was almost empty. Very good service from our server. And we very much enjoyed the food.

Hi There: We went to De Dutch for breakfast on Remembrance Day with our son and our two International Students. We’ve always enjoyed De Dutch and been going there since our kids were small and now they’re All grown up. As usual the service was spot on, all social distancing was adhered to plus masks etc and it definitely is our Go To for Breakfast. Thank You De Dutch.

Reservation fail! Our reservation via OpenTable was not acknowledged... the staff member that had a dual role as a hostess/server was confused and brushed us off when I showed her our confirmation e-mail. Luckily a table cleared up, so we did not have to wait long for a party of 4. Their hash and bennies were fine, but overall their menu is on the pricey side... expect to drop $25-30 per person. Oh, and if you pay with cash on the weekends, they "supposedly" take 10% off your bill? To be clear, this was not reflected in our printed bill, but was verbally confirmed afterwards by our server, long after she had taken our payment along with a 15% gratuity. She told us that a 10% discount "should've" been applied and awkwardly offered if we wanted the 10% difference back? We appreciated her honesty and her relief was visible when we told her we were fine and that she could keep it. A 25% tip for taking our order, bringing us our drinks and food, and clearing our plates... not too shabby. We may give De Dutch another try in the future, but we will not be back anytime soon.

Food was good and plenty of coffee. Loved the maple syrup. Loved the variety so all at our table were happy with their choices. Waitress was abrupt and had little time for us. No smiles either.

Great spot for a multi generation family brunch! Not busy - even on a Sunday - and really friendly staff. Always love the pancakes and also appreciate the great gluten free menu options. Will be back!
