In 2018, our family ventured from our beloved Yaletown location to Chinatown. Our mission: acquaint diners with diverse Vietnamese street food dishes. The extended menu includes beloved classics and innovative reinterpretations, showcasing Vietnam's culinary traditions.

Drawing inspiration from the flavours of our childhood meals and the diverse culinary landscapes of Vietnam, our menu encompasses a delightful range of dishes, including the iconic Bun Cha Hanoi from the North to our playful rendition of fried sticky rice. DD Mau gracefully transitions from a bustling lunch spot during the day, ideal for grabbing a banh mi sandwich on the go or savouring a light office lunch with colleagues and friends. As the sun sets, it transforms into an inviting lounge, where an eclectic lineup of talented local DJs sets the mood, perfectly complemented by street food delicacies and innovative cocktails.

Decent place to have a bite, personally I didn’t like the food very much (but I am Viet so probably I have higher expectations). Very nice ambience and decoration, as well as music. Service was ok, feels like not too welcoming, but again, decent for a quick bite.

This restaurant was a new place for me! However, it was amazing. All the good items were delicious — we got the fried sticky rice, wings, bbq pork banh mi, viet carpaccio and green beans. No complaints about any items. The ambiance and service was really good too. It wasn’t too busy on a Friday night. All items came out super quick. It was also decently priced, we paid about $80 for all of our food and a couple pops. I would visit again and recommend them to my friends and family!
