    Once again a fantastic dining experience with exceptional service. The food was perfectly cooked and presented , set in a lovely restaurant and a great view. Nothing was to much trouble for the waiters and you are treated like VIP's. Would highly recommend to anybody who enjoys fine dining.

    Poor service and food cold and unappetising. Unsympathetic to complaints of problems with food. Not good value for money.

    We had a large table for 8 adults, service and food were very good. We were celebrating a birthday, and it met our needs well, all with a view of the Minster from our table!

    We ate at DCH on the 28th December and the food was exceptional, the Ale was pretty spot on but the service was pretty average. I am not sure if something went wrong between Opentable and DCH but our resevervation was foreign to them when we arrived, considering they were hosting a wedding reception at the time they did well to get us seated so quick.

    Fantastic from start to finish. Service was attentive and friendly yet not rushed and not on top of you, the wine was lovely, a good range to choose from and I could not pick fault with the food, everything was cooked perfectly! A beautiful view of york minster, would definitely recommend this restaurant

    The piece of roast was overdone shoe leather. Potatoes were like rocks, vegetables mush, and the Yorshire pudding was burnt on the bottom and could not be cut it was so hard. The gravy was burnt. I was not asked how I wanted my beef. And the 1/2 pint of ale was very warm. I should have sent it all back but didn't. Lesson learned.

    After a long day at the LibDem conference in beautiful York a group of a dozen of us had dinner at DCH in their private room off the main restaurant. The set menu offered a good choice with very good quality food and good service. The sea bass was particularly good and our veggies had a good choice mainly from the a la carte menu. Several wines were very reasonably priced and a good choice on the list. We had drinks in the friendly small bar beforehand, overall a very good dining experience and we shall come back next time we are in York!

    Amazing food amazing staff loved the food and the whole experience . Felt special some of the food choice was something I wouldn't usually go for it the food was lovely had some fillet steak as a main that was outstanding ! I loved it here and will Be going back . The staff are lovely the whole experience made me feel like a princess

    Attentive and friendly service, seasonal and locally sourced menu selections and a great view ( albeit through small historic windows), of the Minster make DCH a great dining destination in York.
