We have eaten here a few times before and had takeaway several times but this time we was disappointed. The place was deserted and while the 4 of us ate in there, no one else even entered, we was the only people in there that evening. Bishops stortford was really busy that Thursday evening too! Makes us wonder why? We have had chips from there every before that where smothered in sauce, cheese and onions but when we asked for them the waitress didn’t have a clue what we was on about and she went out to the kitchen to check, she came back and said “no we don’t do them anymore”. Also we are sure we’ve had alcohol in there before but got told they don’t serve it but we could see items behind the counter, like wine measuring cups that suggested they did recently. The waitress was clearly inexperienced (we’ve all got to start somewhere) which even make me wonder if the business had changed hands? The food was ok but we left dissatisfied as the portions weren’t too generous and we had no cider or DB’s special fries which we had before. We won’t be going back as there was nothing special about this visit which just leads us to stick with other restaurants we know and love.

We didn’t eat in the restaurant. Turned up and the place was freezing and empty. They have no licence, so you couldn’t even have a beer with your burger. The menus were shabby with no prices on them. It was too cold to take your coat off, so we left.
