The Manhattan clam chowder was superb, creamy and elegant. The broth with the steamed clams ws perhaps the best I have ever had, tasty-perfect.
Food was delicious and I love the atmosphere
The whole experience was some of best I have had dining out. The filet and the sea scallops were “melt” in your mouth tasty. The side dishes did not disappoint and the service was prompt and friendly. This is one place worth dining to! We will be back soon!
The restaurant was great for special occasions or any time you want well prepared food.
The server was excellent and recommended dishes that were well presented . The ambiance was
quiet , allowing for easy conversation. One will want to return again and again.
We were looking for a quiet, romantic venue. Unfortunately, our server focused on a rowdy table of four that were going through several bottles of wine that evening and kept getting louder.
Also, our table with a view was actually just a view of a parking lot and a dumpster.
Always great service!
DBA is a favorite place to go for great and friendly service by their attentive wait staff! The chef always has a fresh and inventive menu ready and at the table in a timely manner. The drinks are always superb and compliment the meal. There was a great ambiance of guitar music in the patio area which topped off a perfect evening!
I saw many good reviews about this restaurant and was excited to try it but I was disappointed. We had a party of 8 for a special work event and we were seated next to the door going out to the patio so all night we had to fight the flys that kept coming in and landing on our food. It was also disruptive having people walking in and out making it hard to hear the conversation at our table. The food was OK but not worth the price. Our server however was excellent and took very good care of us.
The mussels were awesome! The meals were so good we finished them even though we were stuffed to gills. The wine list has some real gems. It's a tad bit pricey, but still very worth it.
The food was okay, there were 6 of us at our table, and some people ordered the same apps/sides for dinner and they all came out differently...the cocktails were horrible, the taste was not there and if we requested a certain drink, they were unable to make it. We ordered the porterhouse steak for two and so did another couple at the table; however they did not have 2 left... so they just “made the plates look similar” was a bit disappointed in the substitution. The atmosphere was nice we had a great time together, and the service was food; just unhappy with the drinks and food.
Great food and even better service!!! Picked this restaurant at the last minute. So VERY glad we did!!!
Two couples went to DBA on Friday night. The place was not busy, which was a worry. However, the service was wonderful, and the food magnificent! We would definitely return.
Nate was our server and did an excellent job. The atmosphere and ambiance was terrific. Loved the appetizers. The actual meals were only ok. My pasta was under cooked and not particularly flavorful. The braised beef ribs my wife ordered was just average. That said, we've been here before and have always been pleased. Maybe it was just an off night. Still highly recommend this place.
Everything from the minute we walked in the door was perfect!!!!!! The service from someone who had only been working there for 4 days to the food was absolutely impeccable!!!!! It was our anniversary and I am so glad we spent it here!
Our server was Allie (spelling?) and she did a wonderful job at pacing the entire meal for us… From appetizers, drinks, entrée, dessert. At the same time, she was appropriately personable and had a great sense of humor!
Great evening and food
My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. Both of our entrees were delicious (filet for me, tuna for him) and our waitress, Allie, was welcoming and attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Great spot, good food choices and good drink menu. Pleasant outdoor or in!
Always had good experiences here but not this time
Steak was extremely tough and free dessert to compensate was utterly disgusting. I don’t know if they changed chefs but the food quality was not like it used to be
I was visiting Akron from NYC and I can say this experience was up there with the best places I’ve eaten there.
Bravo Akron you should be proud
I went here for my boyfriend and I's one year anniversary and we had such a lovely meal here! Great atmosphere, and excellent service. Perfect for a special night out.
The reservation process was really easy. We got to our table immediately. The wait staff was very friendly . The food was fabulous. We also liked the location.
Our 24th anniversary! Nice quiet dinner :)
Daughter starting college
Fabulous food! I had the scallops and my daughter had the burger. Usually the restaurant is quiet but we happened to sit next to a small group who had a woman who had a nervous and loud cackle 🤣🤣. Service was great as always!
My friend and I arrived and were shown to our table. It was by a window but so close to the bar that we felt crowded. The server came over and asked for our drinks order, we knew what we wanted so ordered the 21 vegetable salad and a linguini carbonara to share. The server seemed very unsure when we asked a few questions. We did not receive any bread or butter even though there are bread plates on the table. Our drinks arrived and again the server seemed unsure about how to serve them. About 10 minutes alter our salad arrived. The 21 vegetable salad has been on the dab menu since it opened. I live the 21 vegetable salad. It has always had a delicious mix of vegetables and very little lettuce with a lovely mustardy dressing. Not that night. We were served a pile of limp and browned lettuce ,eaves with, I kid you not, one limp pepper slice, a few slices of a crunchy veg and a few other indistinguishable vegetables. The dressing was not the one I remember. So being the assertive diner I am, I told the server. He did nothing. My companion ate her salad because she was starving and told that do him. I had a few bites and left it. About 10 minutes later our pasta was served, and it was not hot! It was barely warm. We did eat it beau e it tasted okay, hotter would have been perfect. The server again came to our table. He offered dessert and we declined. I try f a once a year. The last time service and food were good. Not this time!
The bread and appetizers (we had the lobster ravioli and crispy shrimp tempura) all of which were pretty good. We were asked if we wanted more bread, which we gladly accepted, only to receive an olive-chunk bread, which was not previously served. We asked if there other breads after trying it, to find that they ran out of bread. We got our meals; I asked the filet, herb crusted with peppercorn on the side and wild mushrooms and he got the sea bass meal. My peppercorn came on the steak. His sea bass came with turnips, but many of the pieces were too firm (undercooked).
Overall, we weren't that impressed. We've been looking for a new go-to dinner spot, and this just didn't excite us. The waiter was very kind and attentive though.
The food has been just so so & not so good the last 2 times we have been there .
The pork belly’s were awful . They were boiled more or less and even questionable microwaved?
I have had pork belly’s before . They are really fatty and a real treat & delicacy when that thick fatty tissue is charred & crispy with tender meat .
The secret in told is boil to halfway cooked . Place in refrigerator uncovered over night to dry out fat & broil / grill 24 hours later .
The ones I had at DBA not !! They were awful & the chicken livers had too much / thick breading and over fried .
The flatbread pizza was awful too . Waaaay overcooked . We could hardly bite into it .
The cocktails still tasty
Nice birthday celebration with the whole family
While the venue is great, the food was mediocre. My husband and I each had filet, his med-rare, mine medium, the pan searing on the steaks made them over done and difficult to cut. He had mushrooms and I had greens for sides and those were lovely. Our daughter had the bolognese, the pasta was under cooked and the sauce was very acidic. For dessert I had the Tiramisu parfait which I felt was very plain in flavor.
For drinks I had a lemon drop that I really enjoyed and the Orange blossom spritzer that I felt left something to be desired. My husband had a Manhattan that he was not pleased with and an espresso martini that he thought was slightly better but not great.
Our server checked on us very little through out the evening and lost an opportunity to up sell. DBA was not at all busy to account for the lack of attention.
Overall, we were greatly disappointed in our visit especially at the prices we paid.
Very nice place to eat. The food was great and so was the service.
The service was excellent. The food was amazing. The ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back again.
We had a great experience. Our mussels were really amazing and all of our sides were on point. Sadly, both of our meats were way over cooked. We were really disappointed. Our waitress was amazing, we got an expensive bottle of wine which was on point, but we were really disappointed about our meat entrees. Everything else was amazing though
It is a real treat to go here. We love this place.
John our server did and excellent job helping with selections and answering questions. Appetizers and entrees were perfect!
Great view of valley. Good food and great bartender.
John (Jonathan?) was simply incredible. We’re from out of town and while this restaurant was amazing, he took it to the next level. He was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. Thanks for the gin drinks!
Nice patio, great food and reasonable $$. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a great dining experience!
We stopped in for a drink and appetizers before meeting others for dinner on Friday night. The martinis were terrific and the flatbread was delicious. I can't really comment on the noise and energy levels because we were the first customers there when they opened at 5:00.
Good service. The took us earlier than reservation. Nice menu. We had the pork belly for the appetizer. Couple of cocktails to start and they we very tasty. I had the short rib, and so should you. Wife had the magi magi and she loved it. First time here and was impressed. We will be going back
