db Bistro Moderne Miami Ratings and Reviews
Went for Miami Spice week. They had a decent selection for the menu, though all dishes were cold when they hit the table. The wines by the glass, true to Bouloud's chain, was delicious, but expensive (but a good value for Miami, where wine is in general overpriced AND bad). It would have been nice if they had offered some wine selections for Miami Spice. Overall, a consistent, if overpriced restaurant, but for a discounted dinner, it was ok.
The overal experience at your restaurant was very good. We took advantage of Miami Spice and it was worth it. Lobster ravioli was excellent as my appetizer and the Cobia, as main course was excellent as well. Overall decor could use a little update but it was pleasant. My only complaint was the valet parking. Awful, one attendant and it took 20 mins to retrieve our car. If they can get that ironed out, then definitely worth the visit.
I was looking for a place to have dinner solo near my hotel in Miami and much to my surprise there was a Daniel Boulud restaurant just across the street. I knew it would be delicious and it did not disappoint. Excellent service, lovely decor. Had a wonderful night!
Portions are French style, at the end of the 3-course meal we were satisfied yet not stuffed. Every single item was delicious and fresh. Service was friendly and good, not remarkeable as I was expecting but still better than 95% of other restaurants. Decor is modern-chic but a bit cold, like the rest of the hotel where it's housed. I recommend for the food.
We were expecting more from this restaurant given better experiences we've had at Boulud's other venues. We had dinner included per package with Marriott Marquis. The waitstaff was very confused about this. We had several people taking our order and it seemed management didn't clearly communicate package offerings to staff-very awkward for us! Food was not as good at Boulud's other eateries we have tried. Also, not too romantic given lots of ambient noise from neighboring lounge. Don't think we'll come back.
