We were sat at our table very quickly and our waitress immediately introduced herself and took very good care of us throughout the evening.
Our food was delicious and reasonably priced.
We were HIGHLY impressed with Day Traders! We could tell our server was new to the industry, but she still did a great job! The food was fantastic, drinks were delicious, and the place is gorgeous! Already planning our next visit 😁
Was 51st anniversary meal, I don’t know what some of these reviewers are complaining about but everything was great for us. I have a hard time with people comparing about having to pour their own water out of decorated water bottle, or complaining about a paper menu with a stain on it ours was perfectly clean. The food was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Our salad came within 5 minutes of ordering it. We ordered onion rings for a appetizer, they were best we’ve ever had. I had 12 oz New York strip and wife had 12 oz ribeye, they both were cooked perfectly, service was great, always coming by to check if everything was ok or if we needed something. Very friendly staff from waitresses to door girl to buss boy everyone was supper friendly.
We ordered the crab cakes appetizer and both of us had the filet. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Nice to see the menu has expanded, though this steak is so good we haven’t ordered anything else.
The noise level is compounded by all the hard surfaces. The restaurant wasn’t full, yet it was a bit hard to hear. Maybe some banners from the ceiling would help. Can’t wait to see what they chose to decorate the walls.
Our waitress was wonderful and the entire staff was very friendly.
Excellent food and service.
Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable.
Would highly recommend their burgers and pulled pork dishes.
The 7 oz tenderloin steak was so tender I could cut it with my butter knife. The garlic cheddar biscuits are the best I've ever had. I suggest their cheese curds for your appetizer. The service was wonderful. Our waitresses name started with a D. I apologize for not remembering it. But she was very good.
Great steaks, great service, and friendly manager. Definitely will be repeat customers.
Food was great. Service needs improvement. Noise level was very loud. We will go back, I very much want to see an upscale restaurant succeed in Lebanon.
Steak very tender could be cut with butter knife but no flavor. I've had better steak for less cost
Terrible service!!!!Food average at best! Especially for the price. Didn't get dinner salad until end of meal! Server had no clue of the menu items. Refused to take away used dishes! From a tiny tiny table!!!!!!! Will not go back and will definetly not recommend.
1. Only plus was my water came in a pretty water bottle.
2. I felt like I was eating in a noisy barn. 3. No dishes for vegetarians.
4. No baked potatoes.
5. Paper menus are reused. Mine had a stain on it.
6. My husband's steak was good. Was hoping for an excellent steak.
7. No chicken on the menu.
8. I ordered Ceasars salad. It was the size of a side salad yet cost over $5. Nothing special.
9. I ordered the banana pudding. It didn't taste any better than mine made with a mix. It was presented parfait style. Not a good idea. The whole top half woz whipped topping with a vanilla wafer stuck in it. At least 2 more of another wafers in the pudding. It was very difficult to get through the whipped topping and the vanilla wafers to get to the actual pudding. This was a very disappointing dish.
10. The waitress was very nice but it was very obvious that she did not have much, if any, waitressing experience.
Seating was right on time(we had a reservation). Staff is a little disorganized. Communication between server, bar staff, etc needs to be improved. Staff was courteous and quick to remedy the issues we had, but at these prices it should be seamless. We're enjoyed all the dishes we've eaten and the portions are good. One issue I find mind boggling is that on a Saturday night they had no baked potatoes! That is a serious oops. Overall we enjoyed this evening and will return.
Onion rings were too well done. Green beans were cold. Rib eye was good. New York Strip was tough. First time there. Disappointed....
Appetizers and cheese biscuits we're great. Steak was tender but needed more flavor. Fries we're not good.
My husband had ribs he said they were good, but he was disappointed when a salad wasn't included with the meal. I had the 7 oz tenderloin and it was great.
Our third time in about a month, since the food is so good. However, our experience took a turn downward this time.
We waited about 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated. I thought the seating area was full, a good sign, but no. It was half empty and clearly a shortage of servers and/or cooks.
From the time we sat until food brought to the table, for a party of six, was one hour. Way too long.
The menu was changed, but not sure for better or worse. The brisket, asparagus, and apple pie - all excellent on previous visits, were not on the menu. I'm okay with sampling something new, but I was planning to order the same meal I had two weeks prior.
The steak bites continue to be amazing. For a kid, that and a Caesar salad makes a great meal.
The food was great! I am in the restaurant business so I will never fault a new restaurant for anything at the beginning. This was definitely above expectations for a new restaurant. I can’t wait to come back in a couple month when the kinks are worked out.
A few notes:
1. Our server did not seem well trained. Love the bottles of water on the table, but it would have been nice if the server had at least filled the glasses the first time. We also ordered a bottle of wine and there was no bottle service, just the opened bottle and empty glasses sat on the table. Our server did not know the menu well and we had to repeat our orders several times. We received our food after two other groups that arrived after us, and had to remind the server who each dish went to when our food arrived. Also, she handed my mother a steak knife with the blade out.
2. Ambiance: I think the main room looks nice with the brick wall and accent lighting. We were seated in the side room with very bright recessed lighting and white walls. It was very stark.
3. We were confused about whether the restaurant was fine dining or casual dining. Some elements seemed fine dining (linens, china, etc) but others were very casual (self-serve water and wine).
4. There was no wine or beer list...we just had to ask for Chardonnay and hope for the best.
The food really was delicious, and we loved the ease of being able to pay by scanning the code in the receipt!
Could not carry a conversation because of how loud it was in the room. Sound barriers need to be added before we return. Menu needs to expand a bit.
Unfortunately, was disappointed. Food was cold, service was mediocre, waitress kept forgetting everything. About the only good thing was the discount after we conplained.
Crab cakes were outstanding!! Service was good until our meal was served. Every table was taken at that time, so they were very busy. They allowed a group of 10 of us to use the bar in the exhibition hall so we could stay & visit. It was fantastic.
Overall, we had a good experience.
We had a wonderful waitress named Renee and couldn’t ask for better service. I had the sirloin which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the ribeye which was a little over cooked. Both steaks could have used a little more seasoning. The restaurant was noisy and thought it would have been a little fancier for the price that you pay. But we had a nice dinner overall and would return.
Five of the six entrees were very good. One steak was not prepared as ordered but was still good. Appetizers, salads, soups, and desserts were excellent. Service was very good especially considering how busy they were,
Was no impressed with the quality of the food. Grandson ordered chick tenders from kids meal were so spicy had to take him fast-food on way home. 1 person had mahi mahi which was sitting to long before being served along with cold asparagus. Waited an hour after ordering to be served.
Food was excellent, service was very good for how busy our server was with 3 large tables. The ambiance of the restaurant area lacks warmth. Not a place to go for a romantic dinner unless they start using the main event hall for dining. We will be back because the food is so good!
The food was amazing our waitress was good but service was slow I didn't mind waiting tho it was definitely worth it.. fyi if u order the stew it is chili not stew.. it was very good just didn't expect chili..
We waited over 1 hour for our food. We were offered no bread. The appetizers were very costly for a hand full of cheese curds. The staff was nice, the restaurant was clean. It's pricey and slow service. If someone was to ask would you go back, more than likely not. Very expensive and slow service.
New establishment so hate to be critical however it is obvious they skipped vital steps that involved training of hostess/wait staff.
First impression was meeting a hostess who was literally panicked and running in the foyer. There was no professional banter such as “welcome to Day Traders Grill”. We had made reservations the evening prior so we was seated promptly but this is where things really kind of went down hill. We waited a good 10 to 15 minutes for a server to take our drink orders, then another 10 minutes to bring the drinks that included coffee and tea so nothing from the bar. Another group that sat down just shortly after us was never waited on and eventually did get up and leave. Waitress took our appetizer order when she delivered the drinks and also took our menus... so when she returned to delivered our appetizers and take our dinner order we had no menus. Salads come out the same time as our meal so the timing there was a bit off there. Had to ask for drink refills every time not just once. Now, the food was very good! 16 ounce ribeye and 7 ounce tenderloin both very good. Cooked very well. Baked potato abs asparagus both very good and cooked well. Over all we was there for just shy of 2 hours if you have the time and patience it’s worth the visit or just give it some time and hopefully they will have the kinks lined out.
We had a 7:00 reservation, we was sat at our table at 8:00 when someone waited on us at 8:30 she says “have you been waited on” there was no drinks on our table and the menus was sitting in the side of the table. The staff needs more training on service. Then our onion rings were burned to a crisp when they were attempted to be cut into the breading went flying off the plate. Our dinner was brought out with no potato as our side when the potato did arrive it was not completely cooked and was hard and our Medium ordered steak was well done. Also had to flag down our waitress for cocktail refills. Would recommend you Wait a few weeks before going for dinner so staff can be better prepared for a smooth running experience.
Great evening. Enjoyed the soft opening and has only gotten better.
Food & service was good. It was extremely noisy though. But all in all we will come back.
Thank you for the feedback on the noise. We are looking at ways to reduce that with wall and ceiling covers. Thank you for visiting us and we hope to see you again.
The service here is great and the food is AMAZING. So thankful the area has a little more upscale place when you have date night. Only thing missing is a bit of ambiance. They need more decor - the walls are bare. Perhaps because it's still new, but still worth date night. We went twice within two week's including Valentine's Day. Their Steak Bites on the appetizer menu are incredible; meat that melts in your mouth.
Thank you so much for being a valued customer. Great feedback. We are working on photos for the walls and hope to have that completed soon.
We understand there will be kinks when first opening but this was a horrible experience. Our waitress dodged our table like we didn't even exist and we weren't there. So the hostess had to take care of us she was absolutely great for being thrown in out of the blue and not knowing how to take an order. I understand that they want to hire younger staff to give them a better opportunity but they need to train and properly guide them when they are that busy. As a restaurant owner or even the manager for that night they should have properly watched their staff and had people there to back them to make them feel more comfortable. Their staff was overwhelmed a couple of them were staying to one or two tables because they knew the people that were there. I just feel the whole experience was not great the food didn't have flavor our orders weren't taking correctly the whole overall experience just wasn't at all worth $125 ticket. And that was three meals and three desserts not including tip. If we do visit again we will wait and give them six months to hopefully have the experience they need. Can appreciate the beautiful area and restaurant just don't think the owner and manager did their job in hiring and making sure staff was okay when they knew they were way over booked.
burger and fries good and priced comparable. Strip steak was good but price too high for what it was. would try again once they get some issues worked out in service, too long of a wait for food.
Thank you for taking the time to send us this valuable feedback. We take it very seriously and want to grow because of it. We are working on wait times and have it down to 11 minutes so we are making great progress. We will look into value on the steak as well. We hope to have you visit us again.
Food was amazing, service was great. Had a little bit of a wait for food, but was in no hurry.
I understand still working out the bugs. Will go back for sure.
First time, won’t be our last. Great food. Steak cooked to perfection.
We truly enjoyed the food and experience!
Overall outstanding. Server did not know about beer selections. Unable to get TX bourbon drink as bartender indicated the deal hadn’t been broken yet
Thank you so much for your kind review and giving Day Traders Grill the opportunity to showcase our food. The soft open helped us work out some issues. I am happy to say that the TX Bourbon is now easily available as well. We hope to have you dine with us again.
I had high hopes for this place and it was an absolute bust. I will not be back. It took us two hours to get our food and it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. It was over cooked and had no flavor at all. I didn’t even taste salt (I got fish and chips). The coleslaw was disgusting and had a terrible flavor. I’m very disappointed and do not recommend it.
Thank you for your review. We were searching our system for a diner that had spent 2 hours in the restaurant on the date of your review and could not locate one we could not find a Fish & Chip order that matched that either. We are sorry that we did not hit the mark on your visit. Maybe one day we will have the chance to show you our improvements.
Food was excellent. Service terrible. Mixed up meat with sides, no drink refills, no bread. Filets and fries outstanding. Size of meat especially the ribeye appeared not the size listed on the menu. The high cost coupled with the size issue and service make it hard to go back. Atmosphere was not cozy, all open, which was fine, just not intimate.
Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on the experience. As you know, the purpose of a soft opening is to work out kinks before we open fully. Our service has improved and we have served 550 people in the last 6-days. I hope that you will give us another chance and I will personally make it right for you. We did not have a 16oz. steak on the menu. We have only served 12oz. Ribeye's and 7oz. Beef Tenderloins so far. See you soon. Ryan
Day Trader’s Grill has tons of potential and we will be going back to witness its evolution. I realize it hasn’t been open long and I’m certain it will get better. The food was good to very good, which is the main thing! We had the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were as good as I’ve had anywhere. Another appetizer choice was onion rings, and from the looks of all the happy people eating them around us, that is also a good choice. We ordered the filet as an entree and they were cooked perfectly and as an extra bonus, the steak was served with an onion ring on top, so we did get to taste them and yes, they were tasty. When we first arrived at our table, a server dropped off a basket of little cheddar biscuits. They could become addictive.
I hope some artwork is on order for the walls as they are blank. Loved the view over the pond in the back and can’t wait for better weather to spend some time on the patio.
Our server was very nice and answered our questions or found someone that was able to help. Kudos to the staff for wearing masks!
Thank you for the kind review. We are hoping to decorate with pictures from around the farm. If the weather ever improves you will see those images proudly displayed on the walls. The Servers see these reviews to help improve service so thank you for the feedback.
