Awesome in every aspect! The staff went above and beyond!
Loved the ambience and service was great (including wine recommendations from the sommelier). They were all personable and professional. Chef Holley came to the table to greet us (charming man). There were 4 of us and all of us loved our cocktail, appetizer and main course. Every one of the dishes was delicious (and each different). It was hard to decide what to order because everything on the menu was mouthwatering. We plan to come back so we can try some of the other dishes we missed. Highly recommend!
Excellent food and great customer service!! Definitely will be back!!
Wonderful food and service! Everyone enjoyed every dish! The bread pudding is a must! We'll be back.
Excellent customer service and cuisine!
Came on Sunday 11:30a for brunch. Our waitstaff was incredible. We used to frequent this restaurant when it was open previously and occasionally it seemed short staffed which dramatically hurt the service. This did not seemed to be a problem on this visit. My wife had the shrimp and grits. She thought it may have been the best shrimp and grits she's ever had and she's a harsh critic.
Always GREAT food, GREAT service, GREAT atmosphere at Davis Street!
It was our first time here and we very much enjoyed Davis st. The service and ambiance was very nice and we enjoyed the food.
The food was incredible and the service outstanding. Chef Mark Holley did not disappoint. His culinary creations are great.
Great food! Great atmosphere and service! Texas Mimosa's were really great but pricey at $9 a glass.
Our dinners were amazing! They were beautifully presented, using inventive ingredients, and were absolutely delicious! I had halibut with lump crabmeat mixed with orzo & a little spinach & a light cream sauce. The Parker House rolls were a great beginning, and the apple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, and some kind of wonderful chocolate cake, were the perfect ending.
The pork chops were excellent as was the dulce de lèche ice cream. I appreciated the Dutchman Vermentino too.
The food was amazing. We had the crispy Thai red snapper. Incredible. Also do no miss the steamed mussels in a Thai curry broth. You will drink the broth it is so good. Beautiful dining room with two private rooms. The menu is not Thai but has fusion flavors in several of the dishes. Oh almost forgot to mention the gumbo. I’m always in search of great gumbo. I found it here!! Can’t say enough good things. We love Chef Holley. He comes out to the tables to talk to his guests. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will definitely be back again and again.
The food was amazing!!! The server’s were on top of their game.So glad you are back Mark.Much Love!!!
I love the food at the Davis Street Restaurant.
Very relaxed and enjoyable dinner
My sister and I took my mom for her birthday dinner on a Sunday. We were expecting a fine dining experience but they were serving the Sunday Supper instead (fixed price family-style menu on Sundays). We discussed whether to try to find another place or stay and give it a shot. Thankfully, we decided to stay and were SO glad we did. The food was amazing, and the service was equally good. We highly recommend Davis Street at Hermann Park. So delicious and friendly.
It’s always a pleasure dining at Davis St; delicious food & great service & drinks. Sunday brunch did not disappoint.
So ready to have another gourmet restaurant in our neighborhood. We loved the food and ambience. Great fine dining location . Appetizers and entrees were delicious and the sommelier was very friendly.
We have been big time fans of Mark Holley since his days at Pesce and excitedly watched for the opening of his new restaurant.
We loved our evening at Davis Street!
The service was superb! My dressing was somewhat dry and I didnt like the gravy over my meat
This place exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was great for sharing food and conversation with sounds of soft jazz playing in the background. All the food seemed enjoyable however my personal favorite was the Alaskan Halibut, Thai shrimp and roasted Brussels sprouts! I can not wait to go back! It’s a win win!
Staff was excellent. Great service which made the dining experience an excellent choice. Food was good. Pretty much on point with my previous experience at Holley’s.
Overall great dining experience.
I love Davis Street restaurant, however, the food was too Salty this time. The manager displayed excellent customer service which made our dining experience pleasurable.
Awesome from start to finish! Great food and service.
Love Chef Mark Holley as a person, as a chef creative and as a manager of people. His food is outstanding in its flavors, cooking process and presentation. His menu is varied enough to satisfy the foodie as well as the "picky eater". His young staff is well-dressed well-spoken, polite and helpful. My son worked for Mark 15 years ago, and I am well aware that he strives to create a family feeling among his staff. FInally, the ambiance of the new venue is lovely- table are far enough apart and the ceilings high enough to afford privacy and a reasonable level of noise such that you do not need to lean in or scream at your table mates to have a conversation.
Each dish that our party ordered was delicious- from the Thai mussels to the seafood stew. Whole crispy fish was a star as always, and the Cajun oysters were magnificent.
Octopus appetizer was wonderful as was the seafood stew. Spouse ate a good gumbo and mussels with curry and deviled eggs stuffed with crabmeat. All were excellent.
Everything was absolutely amazing. So happy Chef Holley is there!
This was date night for Julie and I. I was really impressed upon entry to the restaurant, the host asked Julie are you dining with us and immediately asked do you have reservations under Reggie? We replied Yes and we were sat right away. Because I indicated Julie and I were celebrating a special date night on Open Table when I booked the reservation the waitress brought us a special bread appetizer with a unique pimento spread, seafood spread and picked okra, onion grape medley. Such a wonderful treat! The restaurant owner/chef Holley came by to greet us and later throughout the night the manager stopped by and we enjoyed a delicious Whole fried flounder with shrimp etouffee’ and hush puppies along with candid bacon on brussell sprouts. First class establishment, service and excellent food!
Best food and service around
Wonderful restaurant. Excellent oysters and yummy fluffy rolls are a must eat!
Always an awesome experience. We went on a night where they had live jazz and it just added to how amazing it was. Oyster Yvonne are my favorite and the halibut was to die for. My husband had the Wagyu Beef and loved every bite. I, of course, got a Penthouse View cocktail and we finished with the bread pudding for dessert. I will be back time after time. Chef Holley and his team are amazing.
Excellent service and delicious food!
Enjoyed my birthday very much, service and food were outstanding except for the late arrival of our wine bottle. Overall though it is a must visit restaurant when you are in Houston. The quality of the food is at a very high level with world class gumbo! Complimentary after dinner drinks for my birthday was a classy touch. Manager was attentive and very justifiably proud of their food and wine list! We will be back
I highly recommend Davis Street. It is one of my favorite places to go for fresh seafood. Chef Holley is amazing and so creative.
Glynn was excellent! I visited the week prior and share a few recommendations with him. When I visited this week I noticed those recommendations were implemented. Thai shrimp and charbroiled oysters were great!
We are so happy to finally enjoy Chef Holley’s new restaurant. The new space is beautiful and many of our favorite things are still on the menu. The whole snapper is still delicious and the Kim chi greens and fried rice that accompanied it were even better than we remembered. The NOLA still roasted oysters were also better than our memories. Service is excellent as well!
I ordered Fried Cornish hen and Sweet Potato Waffles and the meal was delicious. Cornish hen was seasoned very well an crispy. Every dish prep you Davis St Hermann Park is very delicious. I love that the staff remembers your name and the type of wine you enjoy.
The food is seasoned to perfection! The service is impeccable! Wonderful dining experience!
