The service was extremely slow and it wasn’t even busy. We had been there before and it was excellent.
Early father’s day brunch
This is my 'go to' restaurant, especially when I'm entertaining. The staff are always the consummate professionals. Never disappoints.
Great table. Great waitstaff!!
Family outing, great food and great service. Very expensive but maybe worth it considering the food and atmosphere. Can’t think of a better location in Boston
Ambiance was nice but very loud. Food was ok nothing great. Service was slow although waiter was very nice.
Overall, it was ok but for 200+ for dinner expect better.
We will definitely return!
Amazing place, great food and attentive (but not nagging) service and beautiful view. Only reason for 4 out of 5 on "ambiance" was the noise level was so high that even with just a group of 3 at a high-top table, we were shouting to hear each other. Otherwise, awesome place!
Steak over cooked, fries over cooked, service is slow, very disappointing
Food was excellent
Server was a bit pushy and arrogant. Interrupted our conversation to tell us to pay the bill and basically get out as they had the clear out table… when paying $300+ for two people, not a great way to end the experience
Loved everything about our first time at Davio’s!! Our anniversary dinner was special from the moment we sat down with the beautiful harbor views. Sebastian was thorough with explaining the menu, favorites and very attentive to us all night. It is going to be our go to for fresh Italian and seafood!! Already planning our next visit!
Great meal, everything was delicious! Really enjoyed the experience; sat outside, great view and sunset.
Service was amazing. Food exceptional. We will definitely return.
Spectacular waterfront spot. We dined outside and it couldn’t have been a better experience.
Beautiful space overlooking the harbor with great menu and impeccable service.
New staff are very friendly; Ruby, Olivia. Alex was great, per usual!
Prices are a little steep for lunch, especially now that so many companies are putting curbs on meal expenditure. Most meals don’t come with sides. We ordered the chicken parm spring rolls which were dry on the inside but soggy on the outside because of too much marinara. The jumbo shrimp was definitely decent but was a little over cooked and swimming in sauce. Grilled salmon looked good but my colleague left half uneaten and didn’t take the rest home. For a side we ordered asparagus. I think there were a total of five sprigs on the plate…
Their professional and gracious staff, beautiful view and delicious meal made our anniversary dinner memorable
When I arrived to Davio's Seaport , there were already quite a few people waiting to be seated.
There really is no place for people to wait. Everyone is standing in the hallway that leads to the bathroom while they wait for a table. There is a bar, but that was already quite full.
A steady stream of diners kept on coming into the restaurant & were constantly being told that the wait was 20 to 30 minutes to be seated, which was not true. How do I know this? ....because I had to stand against the wall across from the hostess desk for 45 minutes and listen to her.
I was finally seated after 45 minutes & I had a reservation.
It took an hour to get a drink brought to My table. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get food.
I ordered a Caesar salad , crispy chicken livers and foie gras.
The salad tasted like I could have bought it at any local 7-Eleven,
the chicken livers were totally nondescript... Absolutely flavorless.
The foi gras was okay, but cold...
My first drink had an ingredient left out of it.. I was told that they had run out of chambord and didn't have a replacement.
I thought that this would be an elegant dining venue , I was totally Wrong!
This was one of the Worst dining experiences that I've ever had!!
I actually asked to have the salad taken off My bill and they removed it.
Even though the view of the water is really nice, I will Never Return here again!
You feel as if you're in a giant , noisy cafeteria...
At what point does a restaurant cut off the amount of diners that they let in, when they are unable to provide dining service in a professional and elegant manner?
***Extremely long wait to be seated, average food, missing ingredients, Extreme Noise level (noise reminiscent of being at a sporting event)... The feeling of being in a *Tourist trap*....
NO! I do not recommend Davio's !!!
From the moment we pulled up and walked in the door, we were already impressed. Beautiful location, staff greeting you outside and when you walk in are all extremely professional and accommodating. We had an excellent time because of the ambience, the staff, the beautiful giant windows overlooking the water. All of our food and drinks were on point, great pours and portions. We keep recommending this place to all our friends.
My husbands birthday! Beautiful evening , great food, great atmosphere, great service , Alex was EXCELLENT!!!!!
The place and view are amazing. Service is outstanding. However, the quality of the food is really bad in a place of such outstanding “restaurant experience”.
Outside dining - Great view. Food was excellent.
We were outside so any noise review would not be valid. The food and service were fantastic! I will be back.
Alexander is EXCELLENT as -a Server, I will be back, I will spread the word and I hope Alexander is my Server again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very good. No complain
I ‘ve been going to Davios seaport for some time now. Apparently i have only been going on dinner time.
I took some guests yesterday and we went for lunch at 1.30pm.
Usually, they bring some very nice special bread, which is something different than other restaurants, considering the prices of Davios.
This time they brought us some horrible, cheap chips mixed with some terrible old bread which looked like leftover put together.
I was embarrassed to my guests as i had described them the high quality meals beforehand.
When i asked why they did this, they said that the nice bread starts after 3pm.
So: never go to Davios before 3pm. Choose another restaurant for dinner.
Really Davio’s??? Cheap starter bread for a 300 dollar meal is unacceptable!!
If i wanted crap starter food i would go to a low cost fast food chain.
We had reservations and when we got there we were told our table would take 30 minutes to be ready. Luckily we got seats at the bar and ate there, food was great as always. But if you have a reservation you should’ve be able to seat right away or at least 5-10 minutes that’s the point of making one at the first place. Plus we had something else booked and didn’t have the time to wait.
Davio's is always great, consistent, high quality, great service. A quintessential Boston establishment
Food was excellent, dinner was slow-paced but in our case that was a good thing. We were there to enjoy ourselves, not to be rushed. It’s definitely more of an adult atmosphere, but there were a few families around. We brought our 7 year old daughter since we were all in town for the weekend, and she loved dressing up and getting to go enjoy an upscale meal. I was very surprised to find they actually have a kids menu, too. In the future we hope to come back for a nice date night, just the two of us. I recommend this place if you’re looking to take your time and have a nice night out.
Megan did a fantastic job serving us. Very energetic and enthusiastic about her job. Food was excellent as always.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Davio's Seaport. We were treated as if we were royalty. The waiter was a very personable young man and very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great advice. Overall we enjoyed our special occasion very much!!
Beautiful restaurant and the food was great
Davios is always a great experience. We ate many times at the Back Bay locationthis winter because of the airy atrium and now we will be frequenting the Seaport location. Service was excellent. Food, always delicious. I had the miso cod and it was so good. Other diners had scallops and they loved them. It was a rainy night so there was no outdoor option but I was on patio on Thursday and that is wonderful as well.
The best part was dessert. We tried them all!
I will be back next Saturday.
Downstairs dining room was very busy but upstairs was pretty quiet.
Food was a bit cold on arrival to table. Too busy to bother sending back. First day post COVID. Staff was pressed out...but waitstaff very professional. Lovely atmosphere. Just expected better temp and more flavorful entrees.
Food was excellent, well the crab pasta diavlo was excellent. My wife had the flat iron which was okay. Drinks are expensive. Service was my only real complaint. At first it was excellent but got worse. We waited over 30 minutes after we had finished our meal (and actually asked the lady refilling our water to please find our waiter). It was our wedding anniversary so we did order dessert. We had the baked Alaska and it had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate, which was a nice touch. It was not complimentary but it was good. So overall a good impression but could have been excellent .
We had our friend’s 40th birthday dinner here and everything was great. Would definitely return for future events.
AMAZING food and service starting with Jess at the front—no mask can conceal that smile! Spectacular location and food.
