Outstanding Customer Service from the moment you walk-in, actually it started w/ the Excellent Valet Car Service before walking in... & Everything From Start to Finish was Spot-On & Absolutely Perfect...! Also Great Customer Service from the Young Lady who was Tending the Bar over the Lunch Hour on Thursday, September 19th. I believe her Name is Heather...?!?
Always enjoy weekday business lunch at Davio’s. Good food and excellent service!
I have been to Davio's twice for client lunches. Valet service is great. I was headed in the door and said I needed to go back to my car for my laptop. Solaris grabbed it from my trunk and brought it to me. So helpful! Jose was our waiter. He was fantastic. Gave us time to talk shop but also was attentive to our needs. Great experience. Mind you the experience comes with the price. For two pasta dishes and one iced tea the total after tax and tip was $68. Food was good, too.
Best restaurant around the SNA/John Wayne airport, Best service and cheap too!

Davio's has everything I like! Great ambiance, service and food. The four of us started at the bar where our server looked to be a manager in a custom suit. He was elegant, friendly and personable. When we transitioned to our table he followed us to inquire if we need anything more from the bar. Of course we did. Our table server was equally proficient in all things required for an excellent dining experience. She was knowledgeable of all menu items and attentive but not overly so. I must add she was perfectly groomed and very attractive (hey, I'm old not dead). When I want the most likely possibility of a perfect dining experience I think of Davio's.
We enjoyed a special birthday lunch because of our server and other staff members. I wish the food and noise level were as polished as they were. While the restaurant is lovely, loud rock music was playing during the weekday lunch hour. Given this appears to be a sophisticated restaurant for high end business lunches and other guests, it wasn't a fit. Perhaps the music would be ok for Happy Hour but not the lunch hour. As for the food, we tried the spring roll sampler. It was inventive and the spring rolls crispy but most were seriously too salty as were the accompanying sauces. The Bibb lettuce and beet salad was very fresh but not outstanding. The best part of the meal was the orange panacotta with fresh berries. Smooth, light and very pretty. Suggestion - make sure the accompanying cookie is as crisp as the biscotti. With humidity, the cookie was chewy and flat. Despite this first experience, I will try the restaurant again because of the service, overall ambiance and interesting menu yet to try.
We had a group of 8 dining at Davio's for a celebratory business lunch. It was a great experience from beginning to end. The staff is very professional and accommodating. The restaurant is welcoming and comfortable. We appreciated our waters being filled throughout our dining time and also loved the fact that our larger group was served our entrees all at once with several staff members bringing them to the table together. The small details such as those are what create a memorable and delightful experience.
Davio’s consistently proves itself as one of the very best restaurants in Orange County. Highest quality food, great atmosphere, and seamless service.
We had a birthday cake.. they didn’t allow us to serve it. Manager was kind to offer one free dessert for 10 people :-(. Service was slow... halibut was way too dry... but steak was amazing
The open air is more sterile than it used to be when it was Prego. maybe it was all the white walls and ceiling, but it was not as warm a feeling as one would want for a nice dinner with a lady or even business. For that reason it is definitely a lunch spot. That being said, the food and service were excellent.

Great ambiance and very attentive service. My wife and I were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary and our server Seneca made the evening that much more special. The food preparation and presentation were flawless. Highly recommended!
Very good experience. Atmosphere and food was excellent. The manager (Scott) was very nice and friendly as was the entire staff. The bread they serve are like Yorkshire pudding rolls but much better than most. We will be back soon.
We have enjoyed several meals at Davios and choose to take out of town guests here. Service and food are consistently excellent! Seafood, pastas and steaks all great. Scott and his crew are always welcoming and helpful
This was not our first time at Davio's. We had returned with friends because we had enjoyed Davio's in the past. We were extremely disappointed on Saturday night. The mahi mahi was fishy and the salmon inedible.The gnocci was drenched in garlic and salt. The risotto with lobster had barely any lobster in it.
The restaurant is still an elegant place to dine and the staff is excellent!!
I don't enjoy negative reviews but I also expect good service at a fine dining restaurant and that's not what we experienced last night at Davio's. We were celebrating a birthday and brought a cake for dessert. We were immediately told that the restaurant would NOT serve the cake nor would they allow us to eat it in the restaurant! We have ofter brought personalized cakes to restaurants for special celebrations and they typically charge a fee per slice to serve the cake. Sort of like bringing your favorite bottle of wine that is not on the wine list. Not only were we taken aback by this "policy" but they way we were treated upon arrival was rude, curt and unappreciated. The cocktails were poorly made and sent back. The second try was better but still poor. The food was very good and our waiter was very nice. Based on how we were treated upon arrival, we and our friends will not return to this restaurant.

Great spot for date night. Food was very well prepared and reasonably priced for a nicer place. It was definitely worth increasing in price bracket to get away from the "fancy Olive Garden" Italian places around SoCal. For a local comparison, this was similar to my experience at Cucina Enoteca, but with a little nicer, special feel.
The service was excellent, and the "Pop Overs" were out of this world! The veal chop was indeed excellent and they give you a lot! The Manager comes around and greets all of the patrons which is unusual in todays envirnment, and they want you to be happy with everything, so they keep an eye on you to make sure you are well taken care of.. I will go back again, and again!
Very much enjoy this restaurant. From valet to host to server to busser, everyone is helpful, nice and professional. ANGEL is an excellent server and overall person. Attentive without hovering. Good sense of humor. Listens well. Anticipates diners' needs. This time, we enjoyed VEAL: Chop and Tenderloin. Both were tasty, plated well and prepared to perfection. All cold food was served cold, and hot served hot. Looking forward to trying different dishes next time.
We had a luncheon for my husband on a Monday to celebrate his birthday at Davio's. Restaurant was not very busy, however it took 45 mins to get our pasta dishes. Then I had to get up and look for our server, who was talking with coworkers near bar to ask for the birthday dessert and check. What should have been an 1- 1 1/2 hour lunch turned into 2 hours ! My husband had to cancel his afternoon meeting to not walk out on his own birthday celebration.
Has a staff that made you feel like family, or better. Terrific food.
Went for my friend’s birthday. It was fabulous! Sat at the bar with Mark! He was awesome! He made great drinks! They had a great happy hour too with oysters and lots of goodies. The food was outstanding from the regular menu too! I also got to meet the owner Steve DiFillippi. He was super nice and friendly! I’m in awe of his success as well being the owner of 10 restaurant locations! I will definitely be back!

An amazing evening. We were treated like special guests and our experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The food, the service the environment was just perfect. My new favorite place in the OC.
Absolutely fabulous meal and experience. Food was very good and service was very personalized. No more room to post the picture of the charred ribeye, but it may have been the best I've tasted.
The popovers are a nice alternative to bread but we had to ask for them after being seated for a while. Enjoyed the chicken parm egg roll appetizer .. unique. House pinot was excellent. Veal chop was not good enough; we make better at home. Our friend was looking forward to a pasta he had eaten here numerous times but they had removed it from the menu. Lots of servers. They kept trying to remove plates before we were finished. My husband looked up and , oops, his bread plate with half of his popover had already been removed. Ambiance is lovely. Staff is friendly. Might have given it 3 1/2 stars if that was an option.
First time visiting Davio’s and Was pleasantly surprised it is going to be one of our favorite restaraunt s in Orsnge county everything was a twelve on a Ten scale highly recommend this restaraunt know you will enjoy it like we did tonight
Welcome to Orange County, Davio's! Good food, professional, friendly service and beautiful venue. Staff is very welcoming. Menu was a bit "confusing" as some of the items didn't seem to make sense at a Steak/Seafood restaurant (i.e., spring rolls?). If you enjoy chicken livers, the crispy chicken liver appetizer is a must, as is the beet salad. Steaks: very tasty and well prepared. Definitely will return. (The music could/should be turned down, and the air conditioning could/should be turned up. Cold air blasted all night.)
We chose to go to Davio's to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. The food selection is wide and well prepared... Dinner starts with a fresh Yorkshire pudding popover. Portions were good... in fact generous, and the service was impeccable. Special recognition for Mo, our waiter, who was both well informed and engaging. We took a bottle of wine from our own cooler, which they immediately took care of: the corkage fee is a little high... $35... but Mo was always there to pour (I wish I had checked out the wine list to compare). I had the Beef Short ribs, which were luscious and juicy, my wife had the crispy pappardelle that was a special of the night. Very spicy, so be forewarned if you order a similar dish. My radicchio salad was delicious too. Thanks for a great evening!
Outstanding, attentive and friendly service by Corine. We were happy to enjoy live music and the food was memorable and a great value. Highly recommended.

We ordered our steak to be cooked medium to medium well - We told the server to have it more on the medium well side. The steak was served rare to medium rare. Also the lobster was not completely cooked. It was disappointing as the restaurant was marketed as a steak restaurant. Cooking the steak to our choice was very important. Also having a lobster fully cooked was something we did not expect as we never have received a piece of lobster not fully cooked. We could not send these back because we would then be late to attend our evening play thereafter. We also could not send them back because the rest of the meal sides would then get cold. We were disappointed. Bottom line, the main items of steak and lobster were not properly cooked to our satisfaction. We came to eat a steak cooked to our choice lobster fully cooked instead of partially raw. We did not want to make a scene to ask for our order to be taken off the bill. The service was very nice and atmosphere was nice.
This restaurant is just amazing. We had a wonderful service, the food was excellent. I strongly recommend Davio’s restaurant. And I am usually a picky guy.
