We celebrated a birthday dinner of an adult family member. The food was excellent and the service outstanding - could not have been nicer.
Boston College Parents weekend
Excellent food great service.
Sat in a booth, was a bit dark asked for an electric light all was fine.
The best restaurant around the Chestnut Hill area.
Everything was great-good weather ; very good service (with humor and kindness) , We asked for a heater and got it! Have done it and will continue to do it until the weather doesn't all. A real gift, these days.
Food was delicious. Service was not as good as usual, however I suspect they were just short staffed. Love this restaurant.
Good and drinks were delicious. Their table bread is to die for .
Upon our arrival, it took the hostess some time to acknowledge us and to seat us.
The server was very good and attentive.
We returned to Davio's after a disappointing experience two months ago. Thought we would give it another chance and were not disappointed. The food , service and overall experience were all excellent to outstanding and we will definitely return again.
Such a wonderful evening our server Rob was wonderful! Everything was perfect! It was my Husband’s Birthday and everything was great!! Good to see Bob and Diane too!
Good and service always terrific. The gnocchi is outstanding!
I am a regular at Davio's, but unfortunately the food didn't come out particularly hot and in fact one dish was room temperature at best. I will still go back since I really enjoy it, but definitely was disappointed. They were having a processing problem all night. Our initial round of drinks took at least 15-20 minutes to show up.
We met some friends for another night of excellent food, drinks and laughs. We’ll be back soon.
Excellent food. The spring roll sampler was a real treat and warm spinach salad perfectly prepared. For entrees We had lobster risotto and Cod loin. No room for dessert, unfortunately. Oh and the popovers to start were quite delicious.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Love this Davios and the curated service we get there every time we go. Bob the manager is fabulous
The "Power Lunch" experience exceeded our expectations. The appetizer, entrée, and sweet options are positioned weekly. Our good fortune provided a sumptuous gorgonzola salad, a rich and savory asparagus bisque, two skilfully prepared spaghettini entrées, and two sweet cookie treat. Great service and an elegant atmosphere complemented our visit, which we would happily reprise. Definitely a go-to restaurant.
Davios is such a pretty space with great service. Why does the food have to be so not even mediocre? Has no one mentioned this? Every time I go (I don't go often), I am reminded that the food isn't good. Yesterday I had the breakfast sandwich. The giant bagel wasn't toasted and tasted Kim a giant glob of bread with a hole in it. My two little pieces of bacon we cooked nicely. The egg was overcooked and my potatoes were burned. My sister in law was served the wrong dish and the popover was also burned. Need I saw more?
Good meal…always consistent.
We had a very nice experience and the service was great
The food and service were superb. Any questions on ingredients were answered expertly. It was the first visit for one of the diners and she was very impressed. We cannot wait to return!
Our server didn’t wear a mask while other servers wore mask.
great service, food and overall experience. restaurant boston menu was really good
Feels like a New York Restaurant. Setting is exceptional. Service people cordial and knowledgeable.
Meal was great. Several gluten free options. Reasonably priced for ‘steakhouse’.
Very noisy, thougr4h not too busy. Food OK. Very nice wait staff
Went for Dine-Out Boston for our anniversary and had a great experience! The soup option was OK - everything else fabulous - salad, cod entrée, and steak were great. Loved the popovers. The chocolate dessert was the way to go. Would go back for another special occasion.
The food and drinks were amazing for my first time. The service was great as well!
We sat in a nice booth close to the bar. My husband had the veal, and I had the lobster risotto. Both were delicious. We also shared the Oyster Rockefeller, which were scrumptious, but we should have ordered double the order for the two f us. The service was outstanding.
First time in multiple visits over the years that the food was disappointing. Blah salad with too much lettuce and blah cod. Chocolate dessert was fabulous!
Outstanding food and service. Amazing menu. Tough to decide what to eat b/c everything sounds so good.
Great food and service.
Lots of food options no matter what your dietary restrictions are.
The entire service, and especially the waiter, was absolutely outstanding!
The food was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. The only dissapointment was: we had to ask three times for lemon wedges for our water. After the meal, we were asked if we wanted coffee or tea. We said no. We were given our check. And not offered desert. Even though the reservation said we were celebrating a birthday.
We were disappointed. We went for Restaurant Week. We had never eaten at Davio’s. The main course and desserts were fine but the appetizers were awful. The soup was watery with only a few items in it but the salad was ugly! It was dark green and brown with a few spots of white feta. Totally uninspired. I think Davio’s would do everyone a favor, including themselves, by not participating in future Restaurant Weeks.
Very loud(general loudness in addition to servers dragging tables and chairs to rearrange seating.) Great food and service but the noise took away from the experience.
I was looking forward to the spring rolls but they were a disappointment. I wouldn’t order them again. But the popovers were fantastic! We ordered the seafood special which included shrimp, swordfish, and mussels over fettuccine with corn in a cream sauce. It was very good except as it cooled down, the sauce became gummy. For dessert we shared the pan a cotte with berries- delish!
We love coming to Davios. Always welcomed back. Paul our server is really wonderful! Looking forward to our next visit!
Very slow service.
