We had a wonderful waiter, but couldn’t get our food out of the kitchen. We ordered turkey dinner from the website and they didn’t have half the fixings. Someone at our table never got her meal. What we did get was cold. Including the coffee. Tried to get dessert and gave up. It was so bad they gave us our meal. But we had GC from a show pkg, so we still really paid for since we’ll never return. And no, the place wasn’t busy even though they were turning people away saying they were booked.
some food never made it to the table, the food that did make it was cold and some of it was burned, the waiter was very nice but over worked.
It was great!
This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Considering there was a concert going on and Restaurant was very crowded food came out in appropriate amount of time service was good I have no complaints
Very nice atmosphere, good food and friendly service. On our particular outing, the delivery of the appetizers was late. Other than that, things were great.
The atmosphere, food and service were very good. It was our first time and we definitely will return
Our server Christine was awesome. Friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We had the pleasure of her being our server for dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Someone must have made an error that she was oputut on the schedule for the early breakfast shift. But, she was as pleasant as can be. I would highly recommend David's and more so to request Christine as their server. Thank you Christine.
I would prefer the tables be spaced further apart. The noise level was pretty high. It was hard to have a conversation as we were seated in the middle of 2 large parties.
The food was pretty good. One downside was with the fries. I had the seafood combo platter. The fries were too salty and not very tasty. Not really a date night restaurant.
Dinner yes, lunch the following Monday was a disaster.
This time was much better than last time. Service and food was improved. Restaurant was empty though and I think it should be rebranded as more of an all-purpose coffee shop with more casual fare. In Atlantic City, the coffee shop is always crowded. At Live you already have fine dining, a deli, a burger place and Cheesecake Factory. A place with BLT's, grilled cheese sandwiches, lots of breakfast items, etc. would be more popular in my opinion.
Service was slow. It took too long to be seated and then too long for our waitress to come to our table. Food was excellent
The wait time was longer than expected; however, the food was fantastic and since we were not in a rush, it was worth the wait
Service was great!! All the employees were top notch. Drinks were perfect also.
service was slow, hostess was not friendly, had to ask for rolls which she said if you want them you have to pay for them and then severed with no butter and wasn't happy when we asked for some. The steak that we ordered was to come with caramelized onions but none was there.
Restaurant needs more wait and table staff. It took way to long to get served and the poor hostess was overwhelmed-had to bus the tables herself so that she could seat people. Not her fault-management should’ve stepped up.
After waiting over 35 minutes for our food, 4/5 orders were wrong, food was cold, omelettes were greasy and the waitress was non-existent..I had to go find someone to get us more coffee.
Go to McDonald’s instead....
My husband and I went to dinner at David's for our Wedding Anniversary, dinner was delicious. I had the filet mignon which was delicious, it melts in your mouth. My husband had the crab legs, which were delicious as well. Our server Christine was wonderful!! We will be back!!
Great service. Very loud. Hard to hear across table
Everything about our experience at David’s was perfect. The only thing I was not happy about is the fact that they have made quite a few changes to their menu and have removed my favorite entree. However, the chef agreed to make it for me the night I was there. I hope this dish can be made indefinitely!! All in all, I would recommend David’s for a great dining experience.
The day I went to David's ...it was not that busy . Yet the server kinda ignored me and that made me feel a certain type of way.I am a regular fixture at David's..plus they have a upcoming Pairing event ..and no one mentioned it to me..I spend alot in David's and feel like I should be included in offers from normally one of my favorite establishments ... I am a blogger and write articles for the local scene...Not sure who is in charge of these "pairings"but it wod be received well if someone addressed...having people like me come to events can only make your business better ..good press is the greatest form of getting more guest in your restaurant..if you want to add me to your list ..for events ..my name is Allison Roberson...2026525211...I will be waiting for a response...thank you
David’s has great food, a fabulous staff, and stunning decor. Unfortunately, a live musician was performing (screeching) so loudly when I dined there for dinner, I couldn’t hear my company or the staff at the other end of the dining room. I was not the only one complaining; other diners were not happy with the disruption. I spoke to three staff members who agreed with me- the music was too loud for dinner. Don't get me wrong, I love all kinds of music when it is performed in the right context. Most bar/restaurant establishments reserve live performances (not talking soft acoustical/background music) for before and after dinner because it ruins the ambiance. You’ve changed your menu for the better, don’t ruin it by allowing bad performers to drive business away.
p.s.- you can argue that the music was in the corner of the bar far from the restaurant, but then why was it blaring into the restaurant? Either invest in speakers that are positioned to target your bar audience or schedule performers before and after dinner only.
Very nice restaurant. Nice decor. Second time there, will definitely return. Good spot for a date.
Great server and wonderful host! Food was amazing and can’t wait to go back due to how great the menu was!
Came for dinner on a Saturday night. They gave us a special table. I loved the Decour of the establishment. Our server Christina was on point, very friendly and helped us navigate through the menu. The cornbread appetizer was very yummy. We also ordered the crispy calamari. I thought there was a bit too much breading but it was still tasty.
My dad ordered the miso salmon and I had the rockfish. Both were outstanding. I also thought for the money the restaurant had great value. Try the peach sangria!
Service was awful. No one knew who was supposed to wait on our table so we waited a very long time to finally get someone to take our order. One person in our party of 4 sent her salad back twice as too salty to eat and it was removed from our bill but she did miss eating dinner. On the positive side, the burgers and fries were delicious so the food deserves better service! The decibel level is loud so you have to speak loudly to be heard.
Order drinks after 30 minutes still hadn't received them. Ask for manager after 20 minutes she never showed up. Ended up leaving without any dinner. Horrible service. Will never go back.
Need to train servers how to approach tables when people are engaged in conversations. You don't just crash in.
Server needed to enunciate and speak up.
Waffles were too cakey, should be more crisp.
Everybody was friendly, just not very sophisticated.
I do not want a reply back from this comment I post about spots and people ..so i think it is always best to stay professional in a job setting..that is besides stellar customer service. #1...negative talk would deter me from coming back...it is highly important that the customer does not know the restaurants problems..feel.free to reply back after all..thanks
Food was excellent; very flavor-able. Portions were more than enough.
Very loud. A little pricey. $34 for a price of sea bass with no sides, no bread, etc. Ordered the giant meatball stuffed with mozzarella and there was less than a dime sized amount of chees in it.
Our server was excellent. The crush sampler was good and priced well.
Been to David's 5 times, what keeps me coming back is the drink Live Crush, 3 for $18, all very refreshing and taste really good, with a little kick. A party of 4, we had a 5:30pm reservation, arrived 15 minutes early, the greeters were familiar that we had made a reservation, immediately validated our valet parking and let us know that our 2 guests had not arrived but seated us right away and offered to get us cocktails/appetizers while waiting. Christine our server was attentive, pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu, everything she recommended was delicious, we had the crab dip and calamari as appetizers. Then, for dinner we had the Miso salmon, Rock Fish Imperial and Hot and Sour Sea Bass, all excellent dishes, this was by far my best dining experience at David's, thanks to Christine who delivered outstanding service and of course the food was excellent.
Enjoyed conversation at dinner as well as the live music.
Food was delicious and wait staff was very attentive. We dined on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of open tables. I would suggest parking at the Costco adjacent to the Casino to avoid a longer walk from one of the Casino garages. I ordered the Giant Meatball and Spaghetti, my wife got the BLT, we also ordered the cornbread appetizer. Live music set a good mood, and was the right volume. Host staff was pleasant. We will definitely return.
Been many times. Food is always really good. Certainly will be going back soon.
I order the mussels instead of 2 pounds of steamed shrimp thinking the shrimp would be too much to eat but only about 20 mussels and served with no bread was a bit of a let down. The flavors were good. I had to ask for more water. I will not be returning.
I visited for a business meeting. The entire experience was awesome. Staff are very professional, helpful and attentive.
The service was extremely slow. From the moment of arrival, there was no one at the front desk with multiple parties in line waiting. The front desk could only deal with acknowledging one person at a time and disappeared for an unusually long time between seating each party. Then came the wait for a waiter. 20 min with no hello. The waiter, Brian, was odd, stand-offish, and distracted. He ended up berating the customer sitting next to us, which was extremely uncomfortable. We didn’t ever get our drinks, and one person completely finished their meal before the others got a meal. Paying the bill was awkward with pieces of paper shoved at us - no little booklet to present. Overall, we live nearby and were hoping for a new brunch place. This won’t be it.
We went to David's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Right from the beginning we felt welcome, the greeter was very friendly and our server was awesome. The cocktails were the reason we wanted to try this place and we were NOT disappointed! Our food was out of this world also. Considering all that we got (cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert) or bill was surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely be dining here again!
We’ve been to David’s several times and have never been disappointed.Always a great time,Great drinks and delicious food.
THANK YOU so much for your review...Im happy to hear that we never disappoint...and most importantly thank you for your continued patronage . Alexis Goins (Davids Supervisor)
