Order drinks after 30 minutes still hadn't received them. Ask for manager after 20 minutes she never showed up. Ended up leaving without any dinner. Horrible service. Will never go back.
Need to train servers how to approach tables when people are engaged in conversations. You don't just crash in.
Server needed to enunciate and speak up.
Waffles were too cakey, should be more crisp.
Everybody was friendly, just not very sophisticated.
I do not want a reply back from this comment I post about spots and people ..so i think it is always best to stay professional in a job setting..that is besides stellar customer service. #1...negative talk would deter me from coming back...it is highly important that the customer does not know the restaurants problems..feel.free to reply back after all..thanks
Food was excellent; very flavor-able. Portions were more than enough.
Very loud. A little pricey. $34 for a price of sea bass with no sides, no bread, etc. Ordered the giant meatball stuffed with mozzarella and there was less than a dime sized amount of chees in it.
Our server was excellent. The crush sampler was good and priced well.
Been to David's 5 times, what keeps me coming back is the drink Live Crush, 3 for $18, all very refreshing and taste really good, with a little kick. A party of 4, we had a 5:30pm reservation, arrived 15 minutes early, the greeters were familiar that we had made a reservation, immediately validated our valet parking and let us know that our 2 guests had not arrived but seated us right away and offered to get us cocktails/appetizers while waiting. Christine our server was attentive, pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu, everything she recommended was delicious, we had the crab dip and calamari as appetizers. Then, for dinner we had the Miso salmon, Rock Fish Imperial and Hot and Sour Sea Bass, all excellent dishes, this was by far my best dining experience at David's, thanks to Christine who delivered outstanding service and of course the food was excellent.
Enjoyed conversation at dinner as well as the live music.
Food was delicious and wait staff was very attentive. We dined on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of open tables. I would suggest parking at the Costco adjacent to the Casino to avoid a longer walk from one of the Casino garages. I ordered the Giant Meatball and Spaghetti, my wife got the BLT, we also ordered the cornbread appetizer. Live music set a good mood, and was the right volume. Host staff was pleasant. We will definitely return.
Been many times. Food is always really good. Certainly will be going back soon.
I order the mussels instead of 2 pounds of steamed shrimp thinking the shrimp would be too much to eat but only about 20 mussels and served with no bread was a bit of a let down. The flavors were good. I had to ask for more water. I will not be returning.
I visited for a business meeting. The entire experience was awesome. Staff are very professional, helpful and attentive.
The service was extremely slow. From the moment of arrival, there was no one at the front desk with multiple parties in line waiting. The front desk could only deal with acknowledging one person at a time and disappeared for an unusually long time between seating each party. Then came the wait for a waiter. 20 min with no hello. The waiter, Brian, was odd, stand-offish, and distracted. He ended up berating the customer sitting next to us, which was extremely uncomfortable. We didn’t ever get our drinks, and one person completely finished their meal before the others got a meal. Paying the bill was awkward with pieces of paper shoved at us - no little booklet to present. Overall, we live nearby and were hoping for a new brunch place. This won’t be it.
We went to David's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Right from the beginning we felt welcome, the greeter was very friendly and our server was awesome. The cocktails were the reason we wanted to try this place and we were NOT disappointed! Our food was out of this world also. Considering all that we got (cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert) or bill was surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely be dining here again!
We’ve been to David’s several times and have never been disappointed.Always a great time,Great drinks and delicious food.
THANK YOU so much for your review...Im happy to hear that we never disappoint...and most importantly thank you for your continued patronage . Alexis Goins (Davids Supervisor)
I didn’t like that I was not properly checked in. I got an email from you guys saying that I didn’t show up.
My food was delicious. The waiter was pleasant. I will come again.
Michelle, I'm glad you enjoyed your food...and THANK YOU for the recommendation,We at Davids appreciate it !
My experience Sunday was not a good one...but I came back today and spoke with Ms.Alexis..she restored my order and my faith in Davids... please email me to discuss.. my experience.....
Service was slow. We ordered a bunch of appetizers- crab dip was good, oyster shooters- don't waste your time and crab bisque- very good. Entrees were so/so- fried oysters did not come with a dipping sauce and were dry, spaghetti and giant meatball was disappointing, no cheese inside it like the description, sauce was lacking in flavor, rockfish Chesapeake was great and the parmesan crusted chicken was good.
We were seated at the bar due to the restaurant being closed due to a private party. The musician at the bar was good.
David’s has a nice menu with lots of options. Unfortunately, they do not label their menu for allergens. Would love to see some gluten free option’s there. Service seems to have improved from our last visit.
It was a quiet place and food was okay. Didn't like that one of the managers were bringing out the food without her hair being pulled back. Was worried that her long hair would end up in my food.
Parmesan crusted chicken was pink and under cooked. Drinks were good. Waffles were extremely dry. Food took foreverrrrr to come out and it was t even crowded. Very nice setting and ambiance, decent drinks, horrible food and service.
Made reservations for my moms birthday with my sister and best friend, so a party of 4. We arrive early and are seated right away, great. We are at the Maryland Live Casino and Hotel seeing a show after dinner so we order drinks. The first round was good, no complaints. The second time around I ordered the “David’s Tea for Two” it came out and the waitress was unsure of the drink but tries to explain it. When I tried it, it literally tasted like tea. No alcohol at all. I had everyone else at the table also try, we all said it definitely was a weak drink for $25. We told the waitress and she went to get the manager that came over and says “the drink was made right, we can make it again if you’d like” I told her “no, it’s just very weak for $25 can I get another shot” her response was “I don’t feel like I should give you a free shot because it was made right.” First off I never said “FREE” secondly, the drink was $25, a little extra shot with a party of four ordering appetizers and full dinner meals, would have been nice. I told her I will pay for the shot, leave my drink and bring me the shot. The bill.. $15 for that “half” shot extra.(wish I had a picture to show how small it was). The rudeness and uncaring is the manager for something so small will make me never return there. Our bill was $200, and your going to be rude to me about a $25 drink that just needed a little extra. The waitress was nice, food was good. But I feel managers like that make the place terrible.
Service is inconsistent. We waited over 40 minutes to be served and the place was not even half full. Food quality is also only mediocre. Our salad was good but the chicken tender appetizer was undercooked.
Great Fried Shrimp.....the best
The only not so positive item was no refillable breakfast drinks. Other than that everything was great
Excellent menu and exceptional service!!!!
Thought I'd made bad menu selections my first time here but the food is nasty. DO NOT order any seafood, you can tell it has been sitting in the kitchen too long. Desserts are $9 for a mini serving and again, not fresh.
First negative review in 88 Open Table reservations ever, it was that bad.
Slow service. Long wait for food. Friendly service but overworked waitstaff.
The service was great and the food was good. My dinning mate didn't enjoy the friend shrimp. She felt it wasnt cooked through.
This is my second time at David’s. The first time My husband and I happened to be staying in the hotel and we went in for breakfast. This time we went specifically for their all day breakfast. Everything that I have had there is delicious, from a simple eggs with cheese to the Hong Kong French toast to the drinks provided by the bartender. Definitely a must try if you’re a foodie.
Great spot for breakfast. The service was amazing!
This was our first time eating dinner at David’s. It was just ok, probably won’t return. Cocktails were overpriced so we stuck with beer and wine. I had chicken and waffles, very thick dry waffles, chicken had NO seasoning. The syrup had good flavor BUT it was like water, not syrup!!! My husband had Parmesan crusted chicken, he felt it also needed seasoning. The restaurant was slow so we felt no need to rush however while talking and still working on our appetizer, the waitress came over and asked could she clear it....we still had some on the plate. I will say the food was hot, which is a plus but we just didn’t enjoy it.
Variety of Food - Breakfast all day - Hamburders and shrimp dishes are really good.
Good experience. I didn't realize that I had 15 minutes to check-in but the host was nice. Service was ok, even though, it was not busy, we had to wait. I would have liked some bread prior to the meal and the water was lukewarm. My son ordered the meatball with pasta, which he enjoyed. I ordered the rockfish imperial. My meal was good however a small section of the rockfish was not fully cooked. I ordered the sweet tea mint julep and it was tasty. There was music however, my son thought that it was too loud and we were not able to hear each other. The restaurant is beautiful and the only complaint is that after I finish eating; I paid and left a tip and the waitress; never thank me for leaving a tip.
The atmosphere of David’s was very welcoming and open. That’s one of the only compliments I could give this place. My family and I ordered a little bit of everything. From the dinner and breakfast menu. The French toast everyone was raving about was not appetizing at all. It was very greasy and did not have any flavor. There were more complaints about other food but I will not have enough space to type it all. The only good things I had there were the two pounds of steamed shrimp (I could not finish those alone) and the skillet of cornbread. That was my first and last time going to David’s.
It was a great place to enjoy time and food with happy waiting staff to answer questions and did I mention the food was great!
Not what I expected. Very limited menus and a little pricey for what you got. Service was fair but inexperienced people waiting on the tables. Or so it seemed.
David’s had a classy atmosphere and setting. Drinks and food were slightly overpriced, but good quality.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Our meal was tasty and our server Darius was attentive and awesome! He really made the experience. I will definitely be dining here again.
