David Burke Tavern is a modern American restaurant by award-winning Celebrity Chef David Burke. Situated on the first two stories of a stately townhouse on New York City’s Upper East Side, the restaurant showcases Burke’s creative and contemporary approach to classic fare – often with showstopping presentations. Signature dishes highlight seafood, steakhouse staples and beyond, including Lobster Dumplings with spicy tomato, Crab Cake Pretzel Raft, Tavern Cheeseburger, and Burke’s famous “Clothesline” Maple & Black Pepper Candied Bacon, plus a full SUSHI MENU. David Burke Tavern offers dinner, bar and lounge menus, as well as multiple private dining spaces including the intimate Himalayan Salt Room lined with pink sea salt bricks. Private dining spaces can accommodate anywhere from 10-100 guests, with options to reserve floors and the full restaurant.

Service was very friendly and attentive. Nice cocktails and wine options. All dishes were very well prepared, presented and flavorful. Would definitely return.

David Burke Tavern has been our favorite place to eat in NYC the last few years when we are in the city. We've eaten there at least 5 times and every meal has been delicious and the service excellent. The clothesline bacon is always a huge hit with everyone as a starter. We've especially enjoyed the steaks, short ribs, scallops and salads, and they serve the tastiest Brussel sprouts I've had. The drinks have always been great as well (I'm particularly fond of the Watermelon Mist).

Can't be beat for value, food, and ambience during Happy Hour. Perfect for pre-movie or preheater in the downstairs bar seating. Christina is a great hostess, and all the staff was helpful and timely. Great Happy Hour menu and value.

Christina and iggy (forgive me if I don’t get the name’s just right) were the perfect pair for the evening. I celebrated my birthday in old New York, hoping to recreate treasured memories. Score. Thank you for making it a great evening. Lihe seeing old friends. But delicious. Ps the lollipop cake tree is a classic!!

Always a treat to eat at a David Burke restaurant. A bit of the unexpected on every menu. The restaurant is beautiful with a variety of rooms and ambiance to choose from. Wonderful wine list. Fabulous martinis. Loved the music. Butter squash soup, bread, Ribeye, duck and key lime pie. Excellent staff. It was a wonderful Fathers Day celebration.

Fabulous food. Service was very good. At times we felt rushed but the servers back off when requested. Too noisy.
