Dauphine’s is a modern day incarnation of the dramatic Grande Dame establishments of New Orleans, brought to you by the award winning Long Shot Hospitality - the team behind DC's beloved The Salt Line Restaurants. Dauphine’s utilizes Mid-Atlantic ingredients to prepare classic New Orleans fare while also creating original dishes inspired by the legendary city. All brought to you in a breathtaking spacious downtown restaurant setting with the most beautiful bar in downtown DC, plenty of patio dining, and a festive outdoor bar and garden area. Located in the Midtown Center, Dauphine's is just steps from the White House, National Theater, Convention Center, Cap One Arena and most downtown attractions and provides an elegant yet relaxed dining atmosphere for any occasion. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Dauphine's Restaurant in D.C., and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and elegant—just the right vibe for a special occasion. We started with the crispy artichokes, which were absolutely divine—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside and oysters Rockefeller. Then, for the main course, I had the chicken and lobster, which was the highlight of the evening. The dish was cooked to perfection, with the richness of the lobster complementing the savory chicken in the most delightful way. To top it all off, we tried a couple of their artisan cocktails, each crafted with such precision and care. Every sip was like a new experience—perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was impeccable, and the staff truly made us feel like we were the only ones there. It was clear that they take great pride in creating memorable dining experiences. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Dauphine’s has certainly earned a place at the top of our list, and we can’t wait to return!

I came here because of the Bib Gourmand rating and my love for New Orleans food. My instincts were right. Best grits I've ever had. And the service was prompt and pleasant.

The ambiance was nice music good and service was prompt. However they ran out of French Toast and but all in all I’d come back.

Great experience! The ambience the food in the service was spectacular. Sam, our waiter was amazing. He was friendly. He had great suggestions and he made the whole experience a whole lot better.

Great atmosphere, great live music, and nice staff. A couple of things went wrong like our order not being placed. But overall, it was okay. I would say DO NOT get the bloody Mary. Paid 20 dollars for it (originally 14) with ONE shrimp and ONE bacon piece for an extra 6 dollars. It was loaded with so much ice that I couldn't even drink it properly out of the straw. Also the bread pudding is exceptionally wacky. It's like someone just closed their eyes and picked out random things in the kitchen to add to it. It tasted like straight corn and thyme, topped with sour blueberry(?) jam on it. To top it off they just threw a couple of kettle corn peices on it, and in my opinion the flavors did not work out well at all for a dessert. Also did not acknowledge wife's birthday unfortunately.

Loved the atmosphere and service by waiter was good not exceptional. Service from bar was very good. Coffee and beignets were my favorite and I would come back just for that.
