Dauphine’s is a modern day incarnation of the dramatic Grande Dame establishments of New Orleans, brought to you by the award winning Long Shot Hospitality - the team behind DC's beloved The Salt Line Restaurants. Dauphine’s utilizes Mid-Atlantic ingredients to prepare classic New Orleans fare while also creating original dishes inspired by the legendary city. All brought to you in a breathtaking spacious downtown restaurant setting with the most beautiful bar in downtown DC, plenty of patio dining, and a festive outdoor bar and garden area.     It’s officially Crawfish Season at Dauphine’s! To celebrate this delicious seasonal seafood, Chef Douglas Alexander is serving up his Crawfish Boil, complete with red potatoes, corn on the cob, and a fresh baguette. You can also add our house-made chaurice sausage for an extra kick. This special will be available on Saturdays only, from April 12th through May 24th. All Crawfish Boil reservations will be booked OUTDOORS in our covered Breezeway dining room, giving you the perfect spot to enjoy a fun, hands-on meal. Choose from a 1.5lb or 3lb tray of the Crawfish Boil, and get ready for a flavorful experience! Your entire table doesn’t need to participate in the special—simply place your order with your server upon arrival. Guests are also welcome to join us at the outdoor bar, where a limited number of Crawfish Boils will be available starting at 4PM, Saturdays only. Book your reservation today and get ready to dig in!

    Everything was great, with the exception of the Dauphine's Martini. It is described as "scented with anise", but in actuality it is like drinking straight Pernod. Happily they switched it out for something more pleasing. The BBQ Shrimp were good, and passable for DC, but do not expect Pascal's Manale. Destiny was a rockstar! Perfectly attentive without being overbearing.

    After our order was taken, the waiter returned to inform two members of my party they were out of the entree they had picked.

    The food (oysters Dauphine, chicken stuffed with crayfish, side of braised collards) might have been better if it weren’t all lukewarm when served. I had serious concerns about food safety. Kudos to Iñigo (the floor manager) for responding appropriately to the issue, but he could not be expected to fix the problem alone (not sure if it was in the kitchen or delayed expediting to the table). Staff other than Iñigo seemed unable to comprehend or respond to a legitimate customer complaint.

    The service was good but the crab cake and breads we ordered were very ordinary and tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for quite awhile.

    We had a fabulous meal! It was a special occasion with our daughter home from college for the weekend, so we wanted a special place for dinner. She -- and we -- loved everything, from the artisanal cocktails to the yummy bread basket to the delicious fried artichokes, and our respective entrees. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive, and we just about licked our plates clean. The ambience is wonderful, with decor that is eye-catching and eclectic.

    Great service from Mikala; good vibe; fantastic smoked catfish spread; the briny oysters were awesome; decent tequila section.

    All was excellent with the exception of the oyster po boy. The bread was extra hard, and the oysters were overly breaded with no seasoning. I was very disappointed with this choice.

    Food was amazing, server was terrible. Could’ve been a cultural barrier but he just seemed frustrated, moved quickly, and lacked customer service.
