Food was truly subpar, service was non existent, and we special ordered a vegetarian dish which didn’t come out until we complained to the manager. Not a warm atmosphere whatsoever.
We went back to Dattilo's for Sunday brunch. They had an amazing selection and great variety of foods to choose from. The were so many choices! Everything was excellent and there's a great view as well. Would highly recommend!
The food and service were excellent! Great oysters, cheese, salmon and branzino. The music got a little loud but we assumed they were trying to create a lively atmosphere.
Brunch was excellent !
The food on the buffet was cold and dried out at 2:00 PM, service was not good. Always had to look for the waiter to clear our plates. Over priced for not great food.
Great food and atmosphere with very helpful staff and decent prices.
My wife is lactose intolerant and it would be nice if some selections were dairy free. She does a good job selecting but many items its hard to tell if butter and other dairy is included. Excellent selection and we always look forward to coming again.
Selection of food was not good. Turkey was cold, roast beef could have Been warmer. Not a good selection of cheeses. Desert was nothing to talk about. I will think and tell people that there are better places to eat a buffet.
Was very nice I was there for the trivia contest, it was corny but fun. Food was good of course.
Everything was very good, the prime rib and vegetables were well seasoned. I always enjoy eating at Water's Edge. My only comment is that the vegetables could be cooked a little more. Views are wonderful and service was great.
We took the fix price option but the wine cost us $15 per glass I though that was a little out of line for a house wine.
My sis loved her fish & chips. I am a vegetarian, so chose veggie flatbread. Really bad, tasteless dough, very little sauce, few veggies. Really worst than a frozen pizza, which I like, so obviously I am easy to please.
Service fabulous, cocktail delicious, lovely view💝
We stayed at Water's Edge the past weekend and had a brunch at Dattilo. We enjoyed the brunch very much; we were seated at a table overlooking the sea, there was live music at the piano. The ambiance was relaxing and casual. The food was very tasty. We will definetely come back.
We ordered the lobster special that’s available on Monday. The lobster were large for $25. It came with mussels, potato and corn. I substituted clams which was a $5 up charge. I did think it was a lot for the few clams you got. Overall very good.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful selection and set-up, but nonexistent service. We never felt like anyone was waiting on us. No one came to the table to explain how the Sunday brunch worked. No one took our drink order. After 15 minutes we decided to get up and help ourself. Then, after 25 minutes we flagged someone down for a cup of coffee and juice. We kept having to flag this woman down. I thought the bus boy was our waiter for most of the meal, because he was the only one who came to the table. At the end of the meal, the woman who we had been flagging down periodically for drinks came by, I asked her if we were supposed to pay her and she brought us the check. I guess she was our waitress! I would still go back because they had some really unique lunch items, plus impressive crepe and pasta stations along with the traditional omelette and carving stations. The water view is lovely!
Brunch was excellent. The classic breakfast foods were available as well as made to order eggs, crepes, etc. There was a carving station, deserts and a lot of unique items to try. Everything was delicious. Service was great and the view was beautiful!
The best Brunch ever!!! Everything is made fresh, including desserts, and refilled throughout the morning and afternoon. All food items of a high quality. Beautiful central atrium with huge windows. Suitable for foodies! :)
Nice view of the Sound. Service was good. Appetizer and dessert were really good. Main course was bland. My steak was overcooked and my wife's Branzino was flavorless. Everything was good other than the main course. I would dine there again just because it is attached to the resort which was great and a place I would revisit. If it wasn't attached to the Waters Edge then I probably wouldn't go back .
My 4 girlfriends and I were lucky enough to be sat in the additional room, not the main room which was much quieter. Mario was our waiter and he was very nice and knowledgeable. Food was excellent except for one of the pasta meals which my friend said was overcooked. The mixed drinks are strong!!!
Overall, great place and delicious food.
Birthday for my husband. Very nice!
Awesome Brunch. Great food and view. Highly recommended.
That place is so beautiful and food were very good and delicious.....
We ordered the NY Strip Steak, Broccoli Rabe & small potatoes. The entire meal had no flavor to it at all & the steak was dry, no juices. We did eat it, however, were very unhappy with it. We could have gone somewhere less expensive & received a better steak dinner than that. Then to top it off, the cream for the coffee was bad & currdeled in my coffee. I did send the coffee back. Way over priced!!!
Octopus was bland. Calamari standard.
Wild boar ragu pasta was excellent.
Lobster ravioli OK.
Desserts were good - zuppa inglese and coppa pistachio.
A little pricey for the quality of food.
Nice view during the day but not much to see at night.
We like waters edge for brunch but this time entrees were so-so, not bad but nothing oh wow. Meatballs, pork chops, chicken. Cod seemed over cooked. But still had a good meal with the carved meats, omelets, shrimp oysters and breakfast items.
I always enjoy Sunday Brunch. Some more veggie dishes would be nice.... Staff is friendly and helpful.
Beautiful restaurant overlooking Long Island Sound! They have the best clam chowder!
Always look forward to our next visit!
Our table was just Perfect . The View of the ocean was just Beautiful. Here in Middlesex's area we had the "Taste of Middlesex" with special prices for 3 course meal for lunch and dinner . Mikaela, was our server told care of us. The food was excellent and the service was great! I sure enjoy your date night.
We enjoyed a window seat during our lunch. Ambiance was perfect! Restaurant Week provided good value. Service was SLOW, but pleasant. It was not crowded! Requested bread came 20 minutes later after we finished our entree. Caesar salad was good. Entrees were a work of art to look at, but tasted terrible. (Chicken, pasta from the special menu) Tiramisu was excellent. No refills on coffee. Lovely afternoon for us but won’t make the hour trip again any time soon.
We go to Waters Edge twice a year and love it. The food at the restaurant is excellent.
Risotto wasn’t cooked properly and pretty much tasteless. Friend’s chicken was cold. Service was very good and the view incredible.
We were seated on lowest level though there was seating on upper levels. We had to hunt down a waiter after 30 min of just sitting at table. Service was TERRIBLE
Highly recommend their Sunday brunch. It is amazing! Just be sure to arrive very hungry.
We loved the Sunday Brunch! The variety of options to suit lots of different types of dietary needs and wants was excellent. We found ourselves going back for more and more, and everything was delicious.
It was a great place to bring my 91-year old cousin for his birthday. He and we enjoyed the food, wine, and of course, the yummy birthday dessert they provided.
Risotto was cold and undercooked. I was very surprised by this.
It was OK. I was with a party of four, no ones meal was anything special. It was ok, not bad not great.
Our overall experience was fantastic. Have visited many times and forgot about being seated downstairs. Would have requested to be upstairs as one in our party has a hard time with stairs. Everyone loved the food and ambience. Our friends came from New York City and wished you were closer so they could frequent more often. They will definitely be back when the weather warms up so they can enjoy the grounds.
Wonderful romantic dinner - excellent food, wine and service
Great variety and great food!! Tasty and always hot! Will be back!
