The “Datscha” (dacha) is a country house or holiday home, it can be as small as an allotment or as grand as a villa. The constitution of the Soviet Union, granted its citizens the right to rest and leisure. To this day many Russians who live in the major cities exercise this right: they go to the dacha.
At the time of the Soviet Union the dacha — the cottage in the green — was the very personal dream of happiness for most Russians: There weren’t any trips abroad.
Following the instant success of our legendary “Datscha” in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district we opened a second “Datscha” in Kreuzberg and our favourite child - the third Datscha in Prenzlauer Berg, where you can enjoy our Russian specialities in the same cosy atmosphere.
Dacha, in this sense, is also the lifestyle of its owners.

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Besonders die Blini Rollen, die Pelmeni Sibirien und das Getränk Mors.

Ambiente ist gut, Sofa bisschen arg durchgesessen. Essen ist schmackhaft und teilweise traditionell russisch aber kombiniert mit junger Küche.
Restaurant and food were fine, but they somehow didn't have our reservation and almost wouldn't seat us. Waitress tried to say we had made a mistake and didn't have the reservation confirmed. When I showed the confirmation emails (which she confirmed were correct), she just sighed and tried to tell us that was too bad because the place was full anyway. This absolutely should not happen.
