Great service and food with a gorgeous view!
First and fore most the view is spectacular!
Secondly, the food was great. Someone in party was not satisfied with the dish that she ordered - just particular - and the waitress insisted on giving her something else .
The service was great and the food came out timely.
It was well worth the drive from Castries.
We celebrated our anniversary at Dasheene and it was wonderful. The facilities and view are unforgettable. Service was world class and our meal compared very favorably to the Michelin rated restaurants we've been to. Thank you for making a special night more so....
Food was very over priced and not good quality
Shrimp and scallops were absolutely delicious. View is amazing! Jerk shrimp was small but also delicious
Food was EXCELLENT. Service was on point. Excellent experience!
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is incredible! Try to get there around sunset so you can get a drink and watch the sunset. Our waiter was incredible and tended to our every need. I would highly recommend for any occasion!
Beautiful location, though likely to be best viewed during breakfast, lunch or just about sunset. Good food and good service!
Lovely lunch, the setting is outstanding, service was excellent.
If you like overpriced rubbery lobster, cold soup, inattentive service and even missed courses and incorrect sides, then this is the place for you. If not, raiding your mini bar might be a better option.
We were so so so disappointed with the food and service here. We paid over $500 for dinner for 4 people and the quality was absolutely terrible... We do not recommend.
We stayed at Anse Chastanet and the food here was 10x better. I recommend dining here instead.
We visited Dasheene a number of years back and were impressed by the restraunt service, layout and of course the view. This trip we invited four friends along expecting the same experience. The confirmation important information noted the restraunt’s 15 minute grace period for arriving on time. What it failed to mention is that Dasheene is undergoing a total renovation and that you will be dining in a guest house farther up the hill behind a plunge pool full of hotel guests. The only way to get a good view of the Pitons, and enjoy the atmosphere, was to walk between the bathers and intrude into the guest space. Very disappointing and a little embarrassing for the people that arranged the trip. We travelled from Marriott Bay which was about an hour drive each way, and a $126 one way cab ride. Better luck next time (I guess).
I booked in advance for a table for 2 expecting an amazing experience with the famous view.
We arrived to be informed it was a buffet... it was the most horrendous and inedible food experience.
The front manager was rude, the food inedible and the table was a disgrace. We paid 200$ upon arriving within30 minutes just to leave!! The view is the assest, nothing else!!!!
Dasheene was the best dinner we had in St Lucia. Outstanding view of the two Pitons with the ocean in the middle. Absolutely gorgeous ambiance! It is a pricey dinner, but that is the case anywhere you go in St Lucia, the place is just a bit outrageous with pricing. However, I totally recommend dining here just for the view!
Wonderful views, but there was so much construction going on, it distracted from the experience.
Pretty expensive meal - but the view was AMAZING! We could of sat outside and star gazed the entire night. Beautiful venue. There was construction going on when we got there but it wasn’t an issue.
We did however find out that the open table reservation times were completely wrong. Dinner did not start until 6pm and open table allowed us to book a dinner reservation at 5pm. So we had to sit around for an hour before we got seated. Which was not an issue but definitely something open table or the restaurant should fix for future guests!
All in all - the price was worth it!
Great view, nice staff and wonderful food. Finally had the change to eat here and it was well worth the drive. Pool reno on the patio was a bit odd, but it did make for a nice spot for dessert and coffee.
So this restaurant is at a hotel with an amazing view over the Pistons. Our food was mixed. The starters good - main course my husband hand lobster which was excellent, I had steak and it was OK and came out cold, they did re-do (not refire- a new dinner completely) and it was much better but the cut was average. The staff very nice but slow. One thing there are biting flies (unfortunately often the case in many locations), so make sure to spray up before going.
However, next time I would have a drink here but then go across the road to the Hotel Chocolat - restaurant was outstanding, service too.
The views at this restaurant are spectacular. I think if you are looking for a fine dining experience with outstanding food, it misses the mark. We stayed at the Ladera for two nights, and ate here for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was delicious, especially the pastries and breads, lovely fresh juices and coffee that was never quite hot enough! The dinner was somewhat of a disappointment. We did give some honest feedback and they were very kind and welcomed our remarks. However, I honestly feel that the view is the winner for this restaurant. Go and have some cocktails, a cold beer and some appetizers, but not sure the food lived up to the location.
Dasheene did not disappoint! The ambience, views of the Pitons, hospitality of the entire staff and delicious food helped make my birthday that much more special. Everything was great but the highlights of my experience were the staff singing Happy Birthday to me and the pepper pot soup which was the best meal I had during my 2-week vacation on the island.
Absolutely wonderful. Staff is amazing so peaceful and the view is once in a life time. Food was amazing.Highly recommend to everyone.
Would not recommend this for families. We made an early reservation and at our time of arrival not a single table was seated. However, because there were more than four of us they sat us all the way in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and away from the amazing views at the opposite side of the seating area. They were not willing to seat us anywhere else in the restaurant even though only four other tables were seated by the time we left and most of the restaurant was empty. The food was good but this restaurant was recommended for its views of the pitons, not the kitchen.
The ambiance is provided entirely by the magnificent view due to the location of the restaurant. There is nothing else that elevates this restaurant to worthiness of the prices they charge, as service and quality of meals is so very lacking for the prices charged.
It was our anniversary everything was amazing
We had an awesome time on the last night of our honeymoon at dasheene. We arrived about an hour early for our reservation so we could have a drink and watch the sunset - best part of our evening. The service was average for the island but slow for what were used to in the States- not a big deal and very friendly servers. Best food item we had was the flatbread which we had for a starter. Our pasta entrees were about average. Would definitely return for drinks and dinner for the view and friendly people
Striking view of the pitons. Not much of a sunset view though. Food was good, not fabulous, given the price. Drinks were not strong, again for the price. Best part of the meal was dessert. Took us an hour to drive down from Marigot Bay and felt it wasn't quite worth the harrowing drive.
Got a reservation on open table, wrote we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. No one read the notes as we weren't even congratulated. Wasn't expecting special treatment, but an acknowledgment would have been nice given what it took to get there and what we spent.
Fathers Day Celebration
Everything was wonderful except the singer, not a good choice!
Smooth Jazz or Steel Drum Music (no singing) would be so much better
The view is gorgeous. The staff friendly and welcoming. The wine was great and a very generous pour. you do not come to St Lucia for the food that said - Dasheene is one of the top restaurants on the island.
exceeded our expectations, all three courses were great
Best sunset view in all of St. Lucia
Fantastic location with a fabulous view at the Petit Piton. Staff are very attentive and made the evening special. The band sounded very good too and were very enthusiastic. It's a special place with prices reflecting the location and the quality food.
Best view for dinner in all of St. Lucia. I saw that after driving the whole island and eating at many different places. Breathtaking view up in the mountains to watch dinner and enjoy the sunset between the two Pitons. The food was absolutely the best we had and the chef cooked us amazing dishes, I had the barracuda and shrimp. The perfect way to end our vacation.
Very special evening! Far exceeded our expectations, which were high! We thought the view would be the best part of the night - and it was - but the food was exceptional and the service top rate. Chef Nigel visited with every one of us diners and it was a nice touch! His passion for the menu, preparation, and detail was so evident. We were also treated to the sounds of immensely talented and award-winning local singer Arthur Allain. In all, one of the very best and most memorable dining experiences we have ever had.
Great restaurant very very elegant, awesome views of the Pitons. One of the evenings we dined there the chef came out and introduce himself to most of the tables. Very impressed. My wife and dined there for 3 consecutive nights as we were staying on the property. All the meals were top notch l. One negative in my option prices are a little high for this type of dining on the island but for us it was a special during our stay and would most definitely return
We didn't stay at this resort but went for breakfast. The food is ok but what you're really paying for is the view. And that view did not disappoint. It was gorgeous and worth a $60 breakfast. The service could have been better, our waitress looked miserable and wasn't too welcoming. Oh well. We still had a great time with the whole experience.
Amazing view and good food! Would recommend going before sunset.
Truly breathtaking views and wonderful food. My family and I had a wonderful lunch here. Highly recommend!
This was the complete dining experience from the stunning view to the amazing food and service. Although this was an expensive meal, it was totally worth every penny. This is a must when in St. Lucia.
View was beautiful, but food was over-seasoned and drinks were not refilled promptly.
Everything was outstanding, including the service. The only reason it got four stars was I felt a little rushed to pay the bill at the end.
