The views at this restaurant are spectacular. I think if you are looking for a fine dining experience with outstanding food, it misses the mark. We stayed at the Ladera for two nights, and ate here for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was delicious, especially the pastries and breads, lovely fresh juices and coffee that was never quite hot enough! The dinner was somewhat of a disappointment. We did give some honest feedback and they were very kind and welcomed our remarks. However, I honestly feel that the view is the winner for this restaurant. Go and have some cocktails, a cold beer and some appetizers, but not sure the food lived up to the location.
Dasheene did not disappoint! The ambience, views of the Pitons, hospitality of the entire staff and delicious food helped make my birthday that much more special. Everything was great but the highlights of my experience were the staff singing Happy Birthday to me and the pepper pot soup which was the best meal I had during my 2-week vacation on the island.
Absolutely wonderful. Staff is amazing so peaceful and the view is once in a life time. Food was amazing.Highly recommend to everyone.
Would not recommend this for families. We made an early reservation and at our time of arrival not a single table was seated. However, because there were more than four of us they sat us all the way in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and away from the amazing views at the opposite side of the seating area. They were not willing to seat us anywhere else in the restaurant even though only four other tables were seated by the time we left and most of the restaurant was empty. The food was good but this restaurant was recommended for its views of the pitons, not the kitchen.
The ambiance is provided entirely by the magnificent view due to the location of the restaurant. There is nothing else that elevates this restaurant to worthiness of the prices they charge, as service and quality of meals is so very lacking for the prices charged.
It was our anniversary everything was amazing
We had an awesome time on the last night of our honeymoon at dasheene. We arrived about an hour early for our reservation so we could have a drink and watch the sunset - best part of our evening. The service was average for the island but slow for what were used to in the States- not a big deal and very friendly servers. Best food item we had was the flatbread which we had for a starter. Our pasta entrees were about average. Would definitely return for drinks and dinner for the view and friendly people
Striking view of the pitons. Not much of a sunset view though. Food was good, not fabulous, given the price. Drinks were not strong, again for the price. Best part of the meal was dessert. Took us an hour to drive down from Marigot Bay and felt it wasn't quite worth the harrowing drive.
Got a reservation on open table, wrote we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. No one read the notes as we weren't even congratulated. Wasn't expecting special treatment, but an acknowledgment would have been nice given what it took to get there and what we spent.
Fathers Day Celebration
Everything was wonderful except the singer, not a good choice!
Smooth Jazz or Steel Drum Music (no singing) would be so much better
The view is gorgeous. The staff friendly and welcoming. The wine was great and a very generous pour. you do not come to St Lucia for the food that said - Dasheene is one of the top restaurants on the island.
exceeded our expectations, all three courses were great
Best sunset view in all of St. Lucia
Fantastic location with a fabulous view at the Petit Piton. Staff are very attentive and made the evening special. The band sounded very good too and were very enthusiastic. It's a special place with prices reflecting the location and the quality food.
Best view for dinner in all of St. Lucia. I saw that after driving the whole island and eating at many different places. Breathtaking view up in the mountains to watch dinner and enjoy the sunset between the two Pitons. The food was absolutely the best we had and the chef cooked us amazing dishes, I had the barracuda and shrimp. The perfect way to end our vacation.
Very special evening! Far exceeded our expectations, which were high! We thought the view would be the best part of the night - and it was - but the food was exceptional and the service top rate. Chef Nigel visited with every one of us diners and it was a nice touch! His passion for the menu, preparation, and detail was so evident. We were also treated to the sounds of immensely talented and award-winning local singer Arthur Allain. In all, one of the very best and most memorable dining experiences we have ever had.
Great restaurant very very elegant, awesome views of the Pitons. One of the evenings we dined there the chef came out and introduce himself to most of the tables. Very impressed. My wife and dined there for 3 consecutive nights as we were staying on the property. All the meals were top notch l. One negative in my option prices are a little high for this type of dining on the island but for us it was a special during our stay and would most definitely return
We didn't stay at this resort but went for breakfast. The food is ok but what you're really paying for is the view. And that view did not disappoint. It was gorgeous and worth a $60 breakfast. The service could have been better, our waitress looked miserable and wasn't too welcoming. Oh well. We still had a great time with the whole experience.
Amazing view and good food! Would recommend going before sunset.
Truly breathtaking views and wonderful food. My family and I had a wonderful lunch here. Highly recommend!
This was the complete dining experience from the stunning view to the amazing food and service. Although this was an expensive meal, it was totally worth every penny. This is a must when in St. Lucia.
View was beautiful, but food was over-seasoned and drinks were not refilled promptly.
Everything was outstanding, including the service. The only reason it got four stars was I felt a little rushed to pay the bill at the end.
Good food. Good service. Best view you will ever see in your life while having a drink/meal. Just stunning.
Really lovely, spectacular view and chocolate mousse was divine!
3 star food/service in a 5 star setting with an amazing view and reasonable prices
Simply incredible. If you have the time, or even if you don’t, you have to stop by here for lunch or a drink. Best view I have ever had in a restaurant. Oh, and the food and service are great too!
Fantastic food..especially friendly and gracious service, and the view between the Pitons of St. Lucia cannot be compared to anywhere else--a most memorable experience in every way.
One of the best views you will ever experience in a restaurant. Amazing experience.
Beautiful afternoon cocktails and sunset dinner overlooking the Pitons in St Lucia.
Can’t get this experience anywhere else on the island.
Lovely setting with delicious food. The stars decorated our chairs for my birthday. The singer and guitarist were excellent
Absolutely amazing experience! We were so glad we chose Dasheene over the other excellent fine dining options in the area. The view, food, ambience, and overall experience cannot be beat. Thank you for a truly memorable dinner.
We so enjoyed our experience at Dashene, with the exception of the rainy weather, which of course no one had any control over.
From the moment we entered the restaurant to be greeted by the delightful hostess Lee to the gracious and knowledgeable server C.J. until we reluctantly left, we were happy.
We were in St. Lucia for only a few hours from a cruise a 90 minute drive away. I didn't realize when I made the reservation that the day we were there (Sunday), they serve buffet only at lunch. When I told Lee we were hoping to have a light lunch, she spoke to the chef and told us we could order from the lunch menu, as we had come from so far away (Canada). My husband ordered the Goat Sliders and I ordered the Green Fig & Saltfish Salad....the National Dish of St. Lucia. Both were delicious. My husband said it was one of the tastiest dishes he's ever eaten.
The view is spectacular on a sunny day. The ambience charming. A small group of musicians played local music as we dined. I highly recommend a visit to Dashene when on the island of St. Lucia.
Wonderful and warm service. Incredible views.
Our dinner was amazing. Right before dinner my boyfriend proposed to me at the bar and the things the staff and guests dir for us that evening made it an unforgettable experience. Thank you to everyone that was there that night <3
It was absolutely beautiful. The views, the service, the food were all amazing!
Amazing views and good lunch worth the trip up from the coast for lunch.
We were there for New Year’s eve. While the food was good (not outstanding) it was extremely overpriced. We paid 200USD per person for the fixed menu and a bottle of wine.
After waiting an hour, as they couldn't find our open table reservation, we ended up with a perfect seat. The music was too loud for such a beautiful outdoor setting. The food was good, but nothing amazing as St Lucia has many amazing restaurants. The service was slow, even by island time. For $125 a person, I just expect more.
Absolutely amazing!! The food, the wine, the ambience and the view - spectacular!
