Completely unacceptable for the price. My first clue of impending disaster was an unspeakably disgusting ladies bathroom. After that it went downhill rapidly. We had the opportunity to pass on our comments on the food to the chef. We actually contemplated getting up and walking across the street to Rabot in the Chocolate Hotel as we had dined there earlier in the week and it was stunning.

We are staying at Sugar Beach but decided to explore other area restaurants. Dasheene is certainly a step above all offerings at Sugar Beach, and a better value.

We dined here twice during our week while staying in a villa in the Sourfiere area. Great variety on the menu. We had the pasta specials, seafood, burger, and surf & turf. Everything was excellent, including the bread service that changes every few days and the amuse-bouche. The service was very attentive. We live in the Washington, DC-area and prices are comparable to the better restaurants in this area, so not cheap -- but definitely a great experience and worth it!

Amazing view, especially at sunset! The food was very good but anything would be a little overshadowed by that view. If you are a budget traveller (as we are), it was a perfect way to end our trip but if you can’t afford to go for dinner, go for dessert or a drink. You won’t be disappointed. I made a reservation for 5:30, dinner does not start until 6 but we had a drink and enjoyed the view and continued to do so once we were moved to our table in the dining room.

We stayed at Ladera and ate of all meals at Dashene because the quality food was so fresh and delicious. I knew it was an outstanding restaurant but being there in person and seeing the view is out of this world.

We had drinks and appetizers in the bar area. The view was absolutely spectacular! It really does not get better than this vantage point. The cocktails we’re yummy (though quite pricey) and we had three different items we shared. The chicken Caesar salad was the best - lots of chicken. It is a special place!

We came early to watch the sun set and ordered an ice water and rum on the rocks. Waited for nearly 25 minutes before we went to the bar to see why it was taking so long. Apparently our waitress forgot about us. So we had a short time to drink before being seated. Recommend getting there about 45 minutes before the sun sets to get a good seat because it’s not an original idea and it fills up quickly. Service after being seated still not crisp, one roll served, a waitress to take the order, another server to deliver it and no one to check on us until long after we’d finished eating. We had the catch of the day, grilled fish and it was very good. Live music was really good. The setting just can’t be beat though. The view is stunning.

Manager was great but original waiter was misleading. We reserved for 4pm thinking we could have an early dinner. They don’t start dinner until 6pm, so we figured we would snack and then see about staying for dinner. Waiter said couldn’t accommodate until 7pm. When asking hostess, she said oh, no problem we can do at 6pm... So we ended up getting the 6pm. Dinner view was great, food was just ok, the first table where we sat took about 50 minutes to get their main entrees. Service was just ok. Pricing in comparison to portion and quality were way off. You pay for the views, because the food doesn’t match up. Also, the price for wine by the glass is equivalent to the price of a bottle (I.e 4 glasses of wine to a bottle, but a bottle cost the identical price as 4 glasses of wine). Overall, aside from the views, I wouldn’t return.

The reason to go to this restaurant is the ambience and the view. Truly a stunning visual treat. We found the food and service disappointing and the price charged for both a virtual rip off. The lunch we had was not bad but nothing special. The rum punch was so watered down that the $20 each charge was an insult. Service was friendly and lacking. And there were only three or four tables of two to mind. In summary, this restaurant gets by on its good looks. Not worth it.

Absolutely gorgeous location, place is magical! Food is amazing, we had the shrimp and scallops thermadore and the fresh catch which was blackened snapper. Both were cooked perfectly, served with root vegetables. Also had crab cakes and tuna ceviche for appetizers. Both were outstanding! Highly recommend this place.

First and fore most the view is spectacular! Secondly, the food was great. Someone in party was not satisfied with the dish that she ordered - just particular - and the waitress insisted on giving her something else . The service was great and the food came out timely. It was well worth the drive from Castries.

We celebrated our anniversary at Dasheene and it was wonderful. The facilities and view are unforgettable. Service was world class and our meal compared very favorably to the Michelin rated restaurants we've been to. Thank you for making a special night more so....

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is incredible! Try to get there around sunset so you can get a drink and watch the sunset. Our waiter was incredible and tended to our every need. I would highly recommend for any occasion!

If you like overpriced rubbery lobster, cold soup, inattentive service and even missed courses and incorrect sides, then this is the place for you. If not, raiding your mini bar might be a better option. We were so so so disappointed with the food and service here. We paid over $500 for dinner for 4 people and the quality was absolutely terrible... We do not recommend. We stayed at Anse Chastanet and the food here was 10x better. I recommend dining here instead.

We visited Dasheene a number of years back and were impressed by the restraunt service, layout and of course the view. This trip we invited four friends along expecting the same experience. The confirmation important information noted the restraunt’s 15 minute grace period for arriving on time. What it failed to mention is that Dasheene is undergoing a total renovation and that you will be dining in a guest house farther up the hill behind a plunge pool full of hotel guests. The only way to get a good view of the Pitons, and enjoy the atmosphere, was to walk between the bathers and intrude into the guest space. Very disappointing and a little embarrassing for the people that arranged the trip. We travelled from Marriott Bay which was about an hour drive each way, and a $126 one way cab ride. Better luck next time (I guess).

I booked in advance for a table for 2 expecting an amazing experience with the famous view. We arrived to be informed it was a buffet... it was the most horrendous and inedible food experience. The front manager was rude, the food inedible and the table was a disgrace. We paid 200$ upon arriving within30 minutes just to leave!! The view is the assest, nothing else!!!!

Dasheene was the best dinner we had in St Lucia. Outstanding view of the two Pitons with the ocean in the middle. Absolutely gorgeous ambiance! It is a pricey dinner, but that is the case anywhere you go in St Lucia, the place is just a bit outrageous with pricing. However, I totally recommend dining here just for the view!

Pretty expensive meal - but the view was AMAZING! We could of sat outside and star gazed the entire night. Beautiful venue. There was construction going on when we got there but it wasn’t an issue. We did however find out that the open table reservation times were completely wrong. Dinner did not start until 6pm and open table allowed us to book a dinner reservation at 5pm. So we had to sit around for an hour before we got seated. Which was not an issue but definitely something open table or the restaurant should fix for future guests! All in all - the price was worth it!

Great view, nice staff and wonderful food. Finally had the change to eat here and it was well worth the drive. Pool reno on the patio was a bit odd, but it did make for a nice spot for dessert and coffee.

So this restaurant is at a hotel with an amazing view over the Pistons. Our food was mixed. The starters good - main course my husband hand lobster which was excellent, I had steak and it was OK and came out cold, they did re-do (not refire- a new dinner completely) and it was much better but the cut was average. The staff very nice but slow. One thing there are biting flies (unfortunately often the case in many locations), so make sure to spray up before going. However, next time I would have a drink here but then go across the road to the Hotel Chocolat - restaurant was outstanding, service too.
