    We had a really delicious dinner at Darya. It was Dalhousie graduation night and they had several Large reservations (including ours). Our service was friendly but very spotty. Our apps and drinks came out quickly at first but then we were sort of just ignored for another 45 min. The server was dealing with a large table who wanted separate bills (not her fault!) but it meant that nobody took our orders for mains or for fresh drinks. We had to ask for water to be refilled and we had to ask for dessert menus. The food itself and location are first class but perhaps service (especially on busy nights) needs to be ironed out a bit.

    Our family had a fabulous experience at Darya! We enjoyed Darya's outstanding and vegetarian-friendly cuisine, impeccable and friendly service, and stylish and alluring ambience. The oceanic backdrop is stunning. We were celebrating our son's graduation from Dalhousie University and we will always remember Darya as a special place.

    The food was amazing — grilled calamari is a must try and very tender lamb. Erin and the whole team took great care of us. We were both really eager to try a more Mediterranean inspired cuisine, though we were both not totally familiar with the dishes. Erin did a great job of supporting us through that journey making it both fun and enjoyable. We’ll be back.

    Our decision to eat at Darya was fairly last minute and it turned out to be a very good decision. The Mediterranean cooking style attracted us and the food served exceeded our expectations. We chose a table outside with a view of the harbour. There was some noise from a nearby “party boat” but that passed. There were plenty of vegan dishes (another reason for going). Food presentation was well thought out and was visually appealing. I tried the Falafel balls and Oyster Mushroom Kebabs (correct spelling). Both were delicious and full of flavour. Service was not too fast nor too slow. Staff were friendly and attentive at all times. We are planning to return for our wedding anniversary.

    Server should not work in a restaurant. My whole team commented on how rude she was after we left. We won't be back sadly. Food was amazing, but not worth the price of having to put up with poor service.

    The food was AMAZING. The hummus, falafels, and tahdig were excellent. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our server barely came to our table, and was chatting with coworkers while we were trying to flag him down to order, ask about a missing dish, drink refills, or asking for the bill. I’ve been to Darya several times, but last night was quite disappointing—especially considering the restaurant wasn’t busy.
