Locally served meats from Connecticut Farms.
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day and could not have been happier with our meal. The Corned Beef and Cabbage was top notch-and better than last year under different ownership. The service, despite the place not being a mob scene like last year, was a bit lackluster and sloppy. I don't understand why it is so difficult to coordinate hot coffee and dessert. In this case, the coffee showed up on time but the cream and sugar took three requests for it to arrive. Overall it was a good experience and we will try it again.
The French onion soup was tasteless (needed both salt and flavor) and we told our waitress the same. Her body language reaffirmed our concerns. Yet nothing was done, not even offering to remove to charge.
Prine rib was awesome as were the mussels...... great night
We ordered the prime rib and NY Strip which were excellent. We had side orders of baked potato and asparagus which were good but very pricey. Service was excellent. The noise level was somewhat high for us for us. The ambience was bar-like.
