   We had to sit ourselves down, no one there, the music was from the 70s disco. The decor is, well I don't know how to describe it. The ambiance , there isn't any, and the food took ages. When it did come mine was so hot I couldn't eat it. It had obviously been sat under a warming device while my wife's was ready. Darcys to me sounds lovely. It wasn't.

   We recently moved into this area and found this place on a walk and it’s amazing!We took our teenagers for a Sunday carvery.I am vegetarian but there was an option which was really good.The only negative I would say is my husband and kids are not vegetarian but don’t really eat red meat and the only options were beef and pork.I heard a lady say the same thing but she was offered another option.I think if chicken was on the menu weekly we would go a lot as the price is good.The soup starter was lovely and the kids had sticky toffee pudding which looked great and they loved!The staff are very good and leave a good gap between courses which we like very relaxing.My husband and I will definitely be going for drinks in the evenings as the place is just stunning!What an amazing venue for a party or wedding!Great place great staff and great food!

   We booked online for 23rd Dec, but upon arrival discovered we were the only people in the restaurant. While that’s not the fault of the restaurant, the venue was booked out, so would have been good to have been told beforehand as we were looking for a bit of Christmas ambiance, but in the end got none. Dawn on service was really great and very professional, food was good, shame there was no atmosphere at all.

   Our visit was on the anniversary of our Dad's passing, he loved to bring all of the family to Mosbro' Hall to spoil us for birthdays and Xmas so we decided to revisit to reminisce .....our Sunday lunch was very 'mediocre' ...we'd expected better but once we'd noticed the empty dining room it shouted loud and clear what we should have expected :( ...also the noise of screaming and shouting children in the bar didn't help ...we'll not be back

   The food was good - the sea bass in particular was very nice. Head Chef Alex was lovely and talked us through the menu and what they could do to adapt it to make it gluten free which was fabulous. However, the restaurant itself is very bare with no ambience and we were one of only three tables booked for the Friday night and no-one else came in. There wasn't much of an atmosphere which was a real shame, especially given the price. It wasn't the most expensive nor was it particularly cheap and therefore we wanted the whole package experience - good food, attentive staff and a good atmosphere/eating environment. Sadly some of it was lacking for us.

    Awful. Menu resembled nothing better than pub food. Burger, fish & chips, sausage & mash. Restaurant prices though. Starters came. Both clap cold. Sauce had congealed on the chicken wings. Welsh rarebit (cheese on toast) gawd only know what they did with it but slimy as well as cold. Presentation nil. Dip for wings not in separate bowl but just slopped on plate. Service very slow. Asked to speak to chef but guess what, too busy. Didn't hang around for the main course, very disappointed all round. Place half full at 8pm on a Saturday night. Tells a tale in itself. Much better places nearby.

    The food and service was second to none. Lovely waitress who was very attentive to our every requirement. Limited menu but lovely all the same. The kitchen staff yelling out for service or at the members of staff & having the barman head into the kitchen and more yelling to follow was not the expectation we had to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Given that the dining room is right next to the kitchen, I’d hope that a better system might be implemented to get the attention of the service staff and maintain the standard of Mosborough Hall.

    It was our 30th wedding anniversary ( we had a reception at mosborough hall 30 years ago ) , we have visited in the past , thought it would be a lovely idea to take our daughter to show her where we had our wedding When booking the restaurant, there was a box to mention any special occasion, so obviously we mentioned our anniversary, we had no recognition at all , not even taken to our table properly ( why bother with this when booking ) It did lack atmosphere It was lovely reminiscing but I doubt we’ll come again which is really sad It was a very warm day & no umbrellas outside It’s just the little touches it was missing

    Firstly this was a one off treat for my sons 25th birthday 7 course tasting menu with associated wines selected by darcys Food was presented by two serving staff with “Chef” explaining the course Food was interesting and presented in fine dining style Lots of interesting flavours Criticism would be that 2 final courses where massively top heavy compared to previous. Slim down to 4/5 courses, focus on local produce, try and sell the event so an atmosphere can be created. Explain why the wine pairing was selected. Can’t fault the enthusiasm of the young chef, but it was obvious that though driven by his skill the rest of the team it was just another cover. Work in progress and time to tweak to the next level

    Second time we have had the tasting menu. It felt like our feedback had been taken on board after last time as the portions were smaller (more reasonably sized) so we managed to make it all the way through. Great flavours and really good value for money. Looking forward to the next menu change. It's always really quiet when we go which is a shame as more people need to give it a go - maybe it's just the days/times we go. Great service from staff very attentive.

    No-one to greet us when we arrived. In fact no-one in sight at all! The place was empty!Could hear staff laughing together, somewhere. Shouted at the top of my voice but they didn’t hear me! Eventually, someone wandered through and caught sight of us by accident. Told us to sit wherever we liked and pointed us to some tables set for two near the windows. Said someone would be along shortly. When they came, he asked us which meal we were having then asked us to move! As he ushered us to another table, he asked what our room number was. On saying that we were not residents, he looked confused! Had to explain that we had booked through the App!Then had long wait after ordering before starter course arrived. In fact it was 18.40 and I had booked our table for 1800hrs!! From then on, the food was absolutely beautiful and was served on beautiful looking plates but still painfully slow. The waiter was now very attentive at all times. Eventually, meal was finished at approximately 20.30. By then there was one couple in our room, sat near the windows(!) and one other couple out of our sight, behind a partition. There was also one gentleman sat at the table we had first chosen, next to another window! And that was it! So, excellent food, great service, eventually, but slow delivery, and no atmosphere whatsoever!! No candles, bright lights only, noisy cd playing, colourless, bland, empty room. Disappointing, to say the least!

    Eating out at the moment is a very different experience to normal. Social distancing is being performed well. The number of tables has been greatly reduced, though what was available was booked. Considering the reduction in clientele I was surprised by how slow service was. The food was on the whole good, though I’m still wondering if there was actually any crab in the crab fish cakes. The main courses were better than the starters and the puddings were the best of all three courses. I do think that a drinks menu should be provided. It would have been nice to know how much the bottle of wine cost before we ordered. Equally I might have had a cocktail had I seen a list. It was on the whole an ok night, however given the current situation I feel that hospitality places should be aiming higher than it was ok. It is a very difficult time and there is very little that can be done about atmosphere given the need for social distancing but something was lacking.

    What a complete waste of time!!! Arrived at 7 pm for our table booking and at 9 pm still no food. Shame on you and the so called Great Western but never mind we managed to get some chips from the local chip shop. If I could give less of a rating I would it wasn’t even busy!!!
