D'Arcy McGees - Sparks Street
Unusually quiet but enjoyable. Great service and super food and drink!
Either turn the music down or turn your customers down. Too noisy.
Samantha was our server she was excellent
Great atmosphere and location
We were seated downstairs and seemed to be enveloped by the smoke from the kitchen about halfway through our meal! Felt like we were going to smell like a BBQ!
Finding the ladies room was near impossible!
Settling the bill was a bit of a challenge because we wanted to pay three ways instead of each of us paying our own - we were a party of four.
A refreshingly different menu, friendly service and great location.
Unfortunately the service was so terrible it ruined our entire experience. Food came out cold, as if it had been sitting waiting to be served. We had to track down our server in order to pay.
I love all the food here! And the staff are always top notch! Friendly and very efficient
Our table wasn't great by the ladies washroom, but it was still enjoyable.
Changes on the menu were a disappointment for me & my friend. The Power Bowl is served with a different rice now. Taste is lacking as per my friend. I had the Mini Yorkies- not as tasty as usual...no creamed corn I think was the difference. Also I was sad to not have my fave Tawse Rose. I tried the other Rose. It's ok but not the 'wow' that I enjoyed with Tawse.
I suppose change is inevitable but I'm not looking forward to going back anytime soon.
The fish and chips special as always was excellent. We had a great time as expected
Great location, pub fare, good for family. When we visited, on a Sat at 5pm, the place was just right to grab a quick bite to eat before going to the NAC (which is right across the street).
For a very busy pub in a small space they do an amazing job on accommodating clients so they do not feel "cramped" . The lamb burger is amazing as are the curried choices and guinness stew!
Great atmosphere, amazing wait staff, quick service, good food! I love the gluten friendly menu!!
We enjoyed a tasty meal of comfort food on a cold winter's evening before attending a show at the NAC. Our server was friendly, attentive and efficient.
Enjoyed our evening, excellent server and meal, Butter Chicken and Burger was great. Very noisy table near us and right beside Ladies washroom. Bit of an odour when door opened.
Quick service but didn't see any disabled access. Stairs were manageable with use of railing.
We were seated quickly, order was placed quickly, Coffee was delivered, as was tea, but the tea pot only had 1 cup of water in it when the pot itself was large enough for 3 cups (at least).
The seafood chowder and the french onion soup were both absolutely delicious!!
The food order was slow and we received an apology plus coupons for appetizers on our next visit. The waitress was friendly and gave attentive service.
We have always enjoyed our visit & meals before we go to the NAC. Service is always friendly.
This is a convenient place to dine when going to the NAC. Great food; lively ambiance; friendly service! Extensive menu so lots of choices (food-wise, i.e.). Wine by the glass choices could be better.
D'Arcy McGee's is an Irish Pub so that says it all. It's a fun place to eat and the food and service are typically very good.
Excellent comfort food on a cold winter's evening. Warm and Cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.
Food was great and we were in a rush which the server accommodated graciously.
Great ambience, great food. Plus, my girlfriend forgot her phone on the table, and when we returned several hours later, they were helpful in finding it for us.
Reserved because we were taking in a show at NAC. My husbands jaw is still sore from trying to eat the tophat burger. He couldn't chew thru it. Of course by the time he had it replace we were all done and getting ready to go to the show. My other friends shepherds pie he was not be able to fully eat as it was overdone and dry. My fish tacos were pretty good.
Great lively restaurant for celebrating a birthday! Wide variety of food choices-large & small plates-meat & vegetarian options. Anything I’ve ever eaten here has been delicious! Wine selection by the glass is limited. I love the Tawes Rosé but would like to see more variety of whites by the glass. But overall I love this place & always choose it for eating dinner before going to the NAC. Also servers are always very friendly & knowledgeable!
And I appreciate the ease of making a reservation with Open Table! Thanks!
They were 'out' of the first couple of items my wife ordered and then brought the wrong order (mind you it was corrected). Service was mediocre at best.
This restaurant is great for pre-theatre dinner, expect friday's as they will not take reservations and I would never take the chance of showing without them. Good food, can be in and out quick.
Great spot to stop on the way to the NAC. Make sure to make a reservation in advance, even on weeknights.
I ordered the Guinness steak & mushroom pie and discover 2 pieces of steak
Should call it the mushroom pie
Not happy and probably won’t be returning and my husband ordered the Ruben only to be told they didn’t have anymore....really?
Overall good but my burger was burnt and not enjoyable
Great Location. Good food. Friendly Service. Nice Ambiance. Excellent access to Parliament Hill, the NAC, Canal and By Ward Market.
Great value for really good food and a homey atmosphere. I'm happy to recomend it.
Everybody really enjoyed their meal. Waitress was very informative. We were going to the NAC so time was a worry but all was good-we ended up with lots of time to get to the show.Great time.
Food was so average I couldn’t say it was even average good for pub food.
The noise level from the bar made it almost impossible to talk. A friend and I were there for dinner and we had to shout at each other to be heard. The food was good. The waitress was not particularly friendly, although she was efficient.
Try the spinach and artichoke dip! Is to die for. Calamari is out of the world by the way!
Good food. A little pricey. A little cramped when busy, some tables too close
We arrived early for our reservations on a busy Thursday night and they found us a table right away. It would not sit 5 - so when I let the front desk know- the young man went out of his way to find a table that fit 5. The service was most excellent as was the food. Would recommend this restaurant to others .
Waitress was very congenial and was on top of her game...very attentive even though it was packed before the theatre. Enjoyed the beet salad immensely . Grilled Salmon was tasty as well.
Good Pub experience with an Irish bent and good selection of draft beer and Irish liquors and “pub grub”.
