Amazing food, great vibe. Will definitely be returning :)
Great food and ambience
A really lovely restaurant with gorgeous interior and friendly attentive staff. The food was amazing and I'd definitely go back.
Accueil parfait , repas délicieux !
Amazing Moroccan food and great service. The decor blew us away and the Lamb tagine is definitely something to get!
The service was amazing even complementary tea served. The big problem was the food, it was cold and was not as expected..
Poor service, veggie sauce mixed up with non veggie, waiter did not want to apologize
I have been here twice. First time it was not a busy time on a weekend and the service was great. However, during the busy hours, the service is quite poor. We had to wait to catch the guys for our shisha for a long time. I am sure they would be great again off peak hours but I think the actual challenge here is to be consistent with their service at all times, as much as possible
In general, it is good atmosphere and nice shisha =)
This is not a restaurant, its a sheesha bar that does food. We went for food and it was a mistake. The food is okay but I wouldn't go there "to eat". If you go for sheesha and happen to eat, its ok.
I had the set menu offer between 2 people, the starter was a mix of traditional starters (hummus, hallomi, pitta bread etc) which was nice. The cocktail that came with the offer was very tasty but the main was the worst part followed by the "dessert". The main was literally a mixed grill and a tagine to share but the portion sizes were so small I don't understand how that was going to be shared between 2 adults. There was no rice for the tagine only a few chips with mixed grill so I had to order rice separately. In the end we had to ask the waiter if we were going to get our dessert (which was mint tea and baklava) but by the time it came I was over the whole experience. The food is very tasty but the set menu is not value for money and the service you got represented what menu you ordered from. In my opinion you're better of ordering from the original menu.
It was great.
The food was undercooked and it upset my stomach
Very bad service, food was good but over priced. Definitely not going back
sheesh a wasn't good but everything else was really good.
The only good thing of this restaurant is the food, but overall I would avoid it!
Service is pretty awful, the tables and the chairs weren't appropriate for eating and on top of that they canceled my booking after I have been there so I had to justify with a lot of back and forth that I was definitely there so I could get the points...
We were greeted promptly - and were at the restaurant until closing. Even after they shut the doors, one of the owners offered us complimentary Moroccan tea and sweets. The food wasn't necessarily my forte, but was prepared quite well. On hospitality alone - I would return to this location. Bravo for taking care of your customers.
It is an authentic Moroccan food venue to test the delicacies of North African food. They also have a separate area for the Shisha. Smiley and efficient service accompanied delicious food.
If you wish to explore Moroccan food, it is worth to pay a visit.
It's amazing in London how districts can be so different in just a few steps. North of the flyover at Edgware Road is a different world and frankly we were not sure as we walked toward this place. However it was worth it. Spacious room. Probably a former pub. Good food? Good value cocktails. Service a little slow given it was very quiet. Looked like it might get lively later which I would not have enjoyed but that is just personal preference. Worth the walk
The outdoor Shisha area has a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy the food, music, people and most importantly Shisha.
Service to our group was attentive, prompt and friendly. I ordered the mixed grill and halloumi cheese which was delicious and pleasing to the eye. I recommend the tangible and mint tea !
I will definitely recommend this place.
Very good food and service. Will defo go back :)
The whole experience at Dar Marrakesh was very delightful especially the service. I loved the food although it took a little while to come but I guess it was because of the large group that I was accompanied by. The shisha bar was great but very stuffy
Overall I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
I picked out this place for a relaxed Monday dinner for 4 - three of us had the Chicken Couscous, and I had the Lamb shoulder with vermicelli rice. We shared hummus as a starter with some delightfully fluffy pita bread.
The food was absolutely spectacular - portions way beyond what a normal person could polish off in one sitting (not complaining, just pointing out that the value for money is there) and the flavours delightful. Moroccan food was quite new to us, but the choices on the menu were very well articulated, and we only stopped eating once we realised we also had to walk that night.
One small complaint was that they forgot one of out drink orders until almost halfway through the starter (drinks were ordered straight up), but it was brought out once they noticed the mistake.
The restaurant and Shisha area were nice and open, good place to go to.
They had an interesting menu. Food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming.
Great value of price. I highly recommend it.
The food again was absolutely fantastic - this was a repeated visit after always enjoying a pleasant time at the Dar Marrakesh; this time I had brought my whole team for dinner after a very intense day of meetings. The downside this time however was the young lady serving us - she seemed to be very annoyed about the fact of having to work in general and therefore was quite annoyed with us asking her about details about the menu - we are an international team and some individuals had not had Moroccan meals before. As said, the meals themselves were delicious; but having to wait almost an hour to be allowed to settle the bill is not acceptable. I literally waived my credit card three times to get her attention. Truly hope this was an exception as not have seen the young lady at the restaurant before.
Excellent customer service especially from manager who was very accommodating. Lively atmosphere from the minute we stepped in. Food is OK however prices less than average.
Delicious food and all members of staff were nice and friendly
Was very surprised to find Dar Marrakesh served food (thought they were just a club). Friendly staff, decent food (although nothing outstanding). All said it was a fun experience with a lively crowd around us. To be fair to Dar Marrakesh, they probably aren't catering to our age group! But they were very hospitable!!
Everything was perfect! We spent there Valentine's Day, amazing location and food very good!
I went here with my girlfriend on Valentines day. The customer service was outstanding ! The waiter and waitress was extremely friendly and kind. They even gave my girlfriend a rose and treated us to two glasses of red champagne upon seating. The three course meal we had was brilliant. We enjoyed it so much. I would definitely return here.
The older gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and a great host. Unfortunately the waitresses seemed to be new and so there was a bit of a mix up with our main meal being served to another table then literally being passed to us when they realised their mistake....we were half way through out starter at the same.
The food was however very good especially the tagine.
One suggestion is that they pop a screen between the front door and first table next to the door....in order to block the cold wind as customers enter the restaurant.
Would revisit to give the service a second chance.
Had a great evening staff very friendly and service was quick... Nice variety if cocktails and food was great went on a sat Eve so got to see the belly dancer and live music
My wife and I were visiting London from New York City and decided to try Moroccan cuisine in a very Middle Eastern neighborhood in London. We can get good Moroccan food in New York City as well, but Dar Marrakesh is in the top category when it comes to food.
Visited Dar Marrakesh last week and had a wonderful experience. Being a first time diner I was very impressed by the decor! Had a tagine which was served in a traditional Moroccan plate which was delightful. Later on a live singer came who played some arabic music and spanish, great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it a must see!
Nice restaurant with nice, had a great time, special mention to staff for making it a pleasant visit
Came here with my girlfriend and spend a wonderful intimate evening. Had some Moroccan wine which was a first and actually very nice. I ate the lamb tagine and my mrs had a Chicken Tawouk with rice which she loved also. The belly dancer was a good surprise too and ending the night in the beer garden with a shisha was a perfect ending. A great overall experience and would definitely recommend, a little gem on the Edgware Road .
Great food in an amazing setting - really enjoyed the service as well as the beautiful decor. Even went an after dinner shisha in the amazing garden. Lovely service, definitely would recommend.
This has to be the best restaurant out of the many restaurants on Edgware Road. The beautiful setting, (note that amazing Moroccan chandeliers) the amazing atmosphere and the delicious food made this experience so wonderful. The staff were very attentive and really made my wife and I feel special. The Lamb Tagine notably was fantastic! Will definitely be visiting this gem again, a definite great in Central London!
