This place is just not worth it. The food is exceptionally average and expensive. I get that it will always take a long time to be served here, however, when the food is served, it was not worth the wait. I had the burger and it was ok, though small. The fries were blond and heavily salted. The tea was good. Frankly, I have been three times now and will not go back. For three of us at lunch, after tax and tip it was $85. That include one glass of $12 chardonnay.

They were totally understaffed during Presidents’ Day. They switched our waiter, because he had to man the other side of the restaurant but we didn’t know. So we had to ask different waiters for our food and check. The wait was longer than actually eating the food. The truffle popcorn was overpriced and tasted just like reg popcorn. The beets salad was also nothing special. And the burger was just ok. The hushpuppies were the only decent appetizer we had. And For some reason, you can’t sit more than 4 ppl at a table which is inconvenient for large groups. I wouldn’t come back again.

Great staff and ambiance. However food did not live up to the cost/expectations. Egg scramble was well cooked although more on the salty side and the French toast came with burnt crust and soggy interior. Fruit that came with the toast was quite nice though.

We went to Danville Harvest to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Upon arrival, no one was at the hostess station and we waited for several minutes. There was a nice offering of hot cider, which turned out to be empty pot. We were seated and service started out well. We placed our orders and waited, and waited, and waited... We did not order drinks or appetizers. Our meat arrived an hour after we sat down. This is after we had to flag down a different server as ours had gone MIA. She advised many orders had gone in all at once but tables that were seated after us already had their food.
In my request for a gluten free option, my meal was missing the blue crab, fish and sausage (this may have had gluten) and arrived with only shrimp in the jambalaya. My friend ordered the same (not gluten free) with only shrimp and sausage. We didn’t realize until part way in and decided we were too hungry to wait if they were to remake. Our other guest ordered the fish special, she is vegetarian. The server gave the description and seemed to leave out the detail that it was covered with pork belly. Dessert menus came and as we were making our selection, the wait staff shows up with a birthday dessert and candle for my friend. A nice gesture BUT it was an item off the menu, a blondie brownie with bananas and a banana cream. My friend hates bananas!!!! Nice birthday dessert, not. If you offer a menu and then bring something off it, why not wait and let us order and put a candle in hers? Or just offer a free dessert of choice. We each took a bite to be polite, paid and left.

I don’t think I can recommend or return. Too bad as this is a really attractive place.

The service is slow. Took a long time to order. There was not a lot of post food follow up, like can we get you a refill, is everything ok etc. Menu for weekend lunch is actually a brunch/lunch combo, this made it hard to choose a main choice - the weekday lunch menu was more comprehensive. We asked if they could by chance do a cheese tray, as it’s on the weekday lunch menu - nope. We liked it enough for what it was but won’t be back due to the above mentioned. The appetizer hush puppies and blueberry scones - good.

Went for lunch to celebrate a birthday. Limited menu but choices that would satisfy most people's palates. We have had dinner and have found food delicious at both lunch and dinner. Always fresh food served attractively. Service is outstanding attentive but not annoying. One draw back could be the noise level but there is outdoor seating.

This is one of our favorite places to go and this time was no exception. We started with the Scallion Hushpuppies appetizer that comes with a honey butter and once again they were delicious. My husband had the Southern pork tenderloin which he said was fantastic. I had the fish of the day and it was cooked to perfection. It was over a winter vegetable risotto which was phenomenal. We split the dessert which was a banana crumble and it was one of the best desserts I have ever had. We will keep coming back for sure

This was my first time eating here. The location is very nice with easy parking. I was greeted very nicely and the service was wonderful. I especially liked the new item on the appetizer menu "Joey's Sopas" it was delicious! I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich which was very good. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and patient while waiting for your order....no rushing there! I had the pleasure to talk to Chef Mario to give him my compliments to a meal well done! I do plan to return to Danville Harvest and have spread the word on what a wonderful Restaurant this is. Thank you to everyone for making my time there very comfortable!

The cauliflower soup was over salted and the grits and prawn dish was watery. Very disappointed in the food. We sent the grits back but didn't want to send the soup back as it would seem like there was "no pleasing us" as per Austin Powers. The beet salad was very good. Perhaps it was just an off night, but for the price, I don't think we'd return.

Overall we really loved our evening at Harvest. It was a little loud, but not too bad. What was most distracting was the TV in the seated bar area (not the one over the bar). To me, it's just not necessary, and truly was distracting. The space is beautifully done so that screen in particular really seemed out of place. (If I'm going out to watch a game, Harvest wouldn't have been the place I'd have sought out).

The food was good, wine choices were very nice as well. We look forward to going back!

We always have pleasant dining experiences at Harvest. Consistently 4stars. 80% of our food is always amazing. This time was no exception with dry chicken on a salad and warm yogurt for my daughter. This was offset by amazing blueberry scones, awesome sliders, and exceptional shrimp and sausage scramble. Service from our waiter on this visit was not great, thankfully there were great support staff. We will continue to go back and enjoy ourselves, but we will try not to be sat with the same waiter next time.

Food was not up to par. Bread was stale, sparkling wine was flat, salad greens were slapped on the starter with careless presentation, ham was extremely salty, chicken was very dry. Not a great experience at all. We also noticed that people at other tables seem to have similar experiences with their food. I do not expect them to stay in business with this level of cooking.

I was really disappointed in the food. Three of us ordered the special catch of the day. It was Halibut with some sort of risotto. The fish was dry and the risotto tasted like mac n cheese. Not good for 36+ dollars. Also, brought a bottle of wine and their corkage was 20.00. A little high I think, usually around 15.00.

Although we generally like this restaurant and come a couple times a month, Friday was just off. We've experienced this once before and didn't come back for about a year. The service was fine but the food was terrible. We like to come on Friday nights for Happy Hour because it's a great atmosphere and the food has been good lately. Friday missed the mark. We had the burrata toast and it was covered in greens and not much else and then the burgers were cold and soggy. One in our party got sick later that night. Could have been something else but just saying....
I know they are desperately trying to get their restaurant across the street open this week but we'll have to think before we go back in the near future.
